  2. Good ol` Hi8is, right when you think something is normal it won't be for very long.
  3. Joey Gathright - OF - Devil Rays The Dodgers, White Sox, Cubs, Angels and Giants can be added to the list of teams that have asked about Joey Gathright, according to the St. Petersburg Times. It's believed the Padres and Marlins have expressed the most interest. The Rays are also open to moving closer Danys Baez and catcher Toby Hall, who has received interest from the Dodgers, Mets, Marlins, Rockies and Diamondbacks. 4. The way it was stated i could see how it would seem classless.
  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 26, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) here is my question. Can Rafael Furcal pitch? Can he play Center Field? He won't help them that much if they don't do something about those Question marks. I understand the reasoning of your question, but with the arm he has i wouldn't be surprised if he could pitch.
  6. QUOTE(Felix @ Nov 26, 2005 -> 10:39 PM) Thats what I thought at first too, but I think the guy who suggested it is serious. I know, i think he is serious too.

  8. I've been suggesting that when Frank is done playing that he become the hitting coach for the team. He was only one of the best hitters in all of baseball, so he may know a thing or to about hitting.
  9. I don't think i will ever get used to that.
  10. This just looks weird to me. Any one else feel the same.
  11. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 25, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) Thome press conference is 1:00 Monday Will it be on comcast or any other station?
  12. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Nov 24, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) I am sure this won't be a popular thought but hell I will ask it anyway. What if the Sox were to possibly go after Corey Patterson? The kid has tons of talent and has a much better arm than most already being discussed. If they can put him in the 7 or 8 hole and take the pressure off of him maybe he would be able to produce. I'm not saying here, I'm just saying. Thoughts? Thats okay, he can stay on the Cubs.
  13. QUOTE(fattyguy78 @ Nov 24, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) Didnt see this posted, sorry if it already is but I thought i was interesting: http://www.twnpnews.com/messages/13769.shtml Happy Thanksgiving to all the White Sox Nation! It was mentioned somewhere else, but i'm not sure where.
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) . . . which it's not . . . i know and understand why they didn't go after him, but as i have stated previously, i wouldn't mind having him in the pen for us next year.
  15. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) might rival Big Papi/Ramirez That's assuming that Manny still stays with the bo sox for next year.
  16. QUOTE(HoosierSox @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) With Rowand gone now we lose a Gold Glove caliber CF IMO. I think that Anderson can put compareble numbers offensively with Rowand and maybe better. My question is is he an everyday CF. I have not seen him enough in the field to know what kind of jumps he gets and what kind of arm he has. I think we might find out next season wether we like it or not.
  17. I'm a glove man myself.
  18. Since ARow was traded for thome, i would assume this would put all of the Pierre talks to rest.
  19. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 05:29 PM) Konerko will be back...I feel it. We can have both. This does probaby mean FRank is gone. I can't see how not. I didn't look at it that way, but if Konerko is back with Thome that would make us better. I would be sorry to see Frank go though.
  20. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 09:19 AM) Wow, interesting. Any weather predictions for an April 2nd evening game in Chicago? Cold
  21. QUOTE(shakes @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) Could the Sox be considering Mueller as a first base alternative if Konerko doesn't return? It's a relatively easy transition. They bring in Thome and Mueller can play first and spell Crede at third when his back is bothering him. Thome can still play first occasionally. This gives Ozzie the flexibility that he loves and the Sox have a lefty power bat and the .300 hitter they have been looking for. Just a thought. I wouldn't think so anymore since Thome is on the team.
  22. Thanks ARow, you will be remembered and have a great career.
