  1. An orange dream machine from jamba juice.
  2. QUOTE(Allsox @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 12:10 PM) Would 2yrs. 20 mil do it for the Count? I think he would probably want a year or 2 added to that but the money amount seems about right, 10 mil per year.
  3. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) Goodbye Jose Contreras? Thats what i was wondering too, what will happen to Jose now that Jon is back.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 27, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) I think the White Sox recognized the end of the steroid era and the effect it would have on the game one year before everyone else did. Of course, the White Sox success will open everyone else's eyes. An all around complete game of pitching, speed, defense, power and OBP will be the ticket for the foreseeable future in baseball. I think you hit the nail on the head there. I think baseball will go back to how it is susposed to be played, not by outslugging the other team.
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) Exactly. If anyone of us were ever so fortunate to be able to play in the majors, and we were drafted by anyone else but the Sox, there is always going to be part of you that wants to go play for the team you grew up watching. Damn you just beat me to it.
  6. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) We need to resign Mark to a 7 year deal or something, I love this guy. BTW, I really hope this doesnt start a Mark-St.Louis debate again. I see nothing wrong with what he said back then, or what he is saying now. That would be like one of us soxtalkers going pro to a team that is not the sox and saying that you would like to play for them one day if you get the oppourtunity.
  7. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) I think they're just trying to coincide with the beginning of the college season. Oh when does the college season start?
  8. ESPN has such a hard-on for USC, during the comparisons that they do to see who would win, USC wins no matter what. I would love to see them get their asses handed to them by Texas.
  9. Was this guy good during his playing years because i think i am too young to remember or know who he is.
  10. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Dec 27, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) According to both easports.com and gamestop.com, shipping will start as early as Jan. 17, 2006. I'll be placing a pre-order for $29.99, will you? I will have to place my order soon, but i remember that MVP 05 came out last year during spriing training. Do they have it done early becuase they had more time to work on it or because they don't have to wait for FA signings because it is college?
  11. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 08:50 AM) http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines what kind of personal la-la land was Bobby Wade floating around in? How did he not understand why he got cut, why he wasnt the 3rd WR in Lovie's eyes, why he had to make the team as a special teams player? Its like he doesnt recognize that his punt return yardage doesnt mean s*** if he coughs up the ball at the end of the run. Yay Bobby! You led the league in punt returns after you returned one for a touchdown. Then you preceded to fumble 8 more times, making your touchdown return MOOT. moron. :headshake At least he doesn't seem to pissed about sucking it up here.
  12. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) Sure is, he made his mark in SLAM magazine. This is just like ESPN though, they try and make every announcer/commentator weigh in throughout the year, regardless of affiliation. I dont know if anyone remembers Dick Vitale July 31st this past year in a trade deadline rundown, He couldnt stop talking about the Yankees and Red Sox. Stephen A Smith is also a classic example of someone completely out of his element when he is doing his show "Quite Frankly". SAS understands basketball very well, but he just doesnt understand every sport equally, and ends up sounding incredibly misinformed when he makes comments on his show. Ok I thought so.
  13. Miguel Tejada - SS - Orioles The Orioles remain in talks with a couple of teams about Miguel Tejada, but they appear to be no closer to a deal with anyone. Radio reports have the Cubs offering Mark Prior, Corey Patterson and Rich Hill for Tejada and Eric Bedard, but the Orioles shouldn't have any interest in moving Bedard and it's believed they prefer Carlos Zambrano to Prior. A source told the Baltimore Sun that Boston's current is offer is Manny Ramirez and Matt Clement for Tejada. Dec. 27 - 11:12 pm et Source: Baltimore Sun TIFWIW
  14. I'm sure Beane wouldn't do JG for Zito straight up, but i like the idea.
  15. I got a picture, three of those comemerative books, a world champs stocking, one of the dvds, and a plaque.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 01:43 PM) Especially when the starting pitcher we'd be getting in return would be our 6th starter, so he'd end up being our 2nd lefty out of the pen? That would be good from that standpoint, we would have found our second lefty to the pen and move BMac into the 5th starters spot. But that could not be all that we get. The other teams would be getting studs and we would be getting shafted if bedard is the only player we recieve.
  17. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) The Chicago White Sox: Buying a Championship! We are what's wrong with baseball!
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) Why would we trade Garland for another SP? Kinda defeats the purpose, no? Yeah, but it would still keep us a 6 starters.
