QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 09:52 PM) Like the great pass to Finley a few minutes ago. thats just bad aim, pretty good touch on the ball actually since it was easily catchable by the defense. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 09:45 PM) Well, when referencing a quarterback, usually "touch" means taking a bit off a throw. When talking about deep balls, Orton needs to put more on it, not put touch on it. He underthrows a lot of guys deep. Putting touch on deep balls would be more like lobbing one in or something, which he doesn't need to do. The trajectory is fine, the distance is not. Not true at all. Touch is the ability to correctly gauge distance, angle and ball flight to both deep and short routes. Touch is the ability to be able to read the correct distance, velocity and angle on a throw at all different lengths of throws. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 04:43 PM) That's not the ole technique, thats his turn stile technique. I mostly like when he manned up and his arms were just spread wide like an eagle. He has it going here. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 04:29 PM) That lineup is still more likely than Ozzie treating Anderson as a starter. To be honest, what has BA done to be treated like a starter? -

Ben has certainly improved upon his arms wide open Ole defensive technique he used to use, but I would say he was a "good" defender, he is probably near average now. -
QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 12:00 PM) My wife works at Shure, so I'm probably biased. Shure SE110 earphones http://www.amazon.com/Shure-Isolating-Earp...2218&sr=1-1 fit your price range. They're sound isolating - they have these foam sleeves that isolate the audio you want to hear, and block out external noises from your surroundings. But make sure to play around with the different sizes of foams provided - they are key in getting good bass response and external sound isolation. We always use these earphones when flying. Gotta block out babies crying or having tantrums mid-flight. Shures are freaking awwsome so im pretty sure your bias isnt too bad. I use the Bose in-ears and some of the Shure's absolutlely make mine sound like the crappy stock Apple buds.

So have we fought on this winning streak at all? Eager has been chased around the ice the last few games to scrap and has declined each time. Bolland was chased off the ice last night after the game and nothing. I wonder if Q told them to lay off of the fights while they are still winning. -
Rumors: Sox/Reds Talking Dye for Bailey Swap
RockRaines replied to Dick Allen's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Bailey would have to come here as well for me. Bailey+Figgins would be nice. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 05:43 PM) I'm thrilled the White Sox didn't sign this stiff. I think they made about one call, then forgot about him.

Rex, I thought you were a Michigan fan? Big Ten beating ass today, which was nice to see. Purdue looked extremely dominant. The Buckeyes lost their most experienced player and captain for 6-12 weeks in Lighty, but I honestly believe that the team will be better giving those minutes to Bufford who was Mr Ohio in Bball last year. -

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 19, 2008 -> 06:09 PM) Really? When I lived in Columbus, we had snow plows and everything. We never got out of school unless we had like 6 or 8 inches or something like that. Snow days were the best, though, when they did happen. Unfortunately, down South it only seems to "ice." Maybe a 1/4 of the time I got out of school here was because of actual snow. The other 75% of the time it was b/c of ice, which isn't fun for anyone. Ice only means more accidents (and maybe deaths) and no fun for the kids... Oh and Lostfan, having lived in the North and 2 parents from Chicago, I find it hilarious the way people freak out down here about possible snow. The shelves at the grocery store are barren with people "stocking up" on bread, bottled water, etc. Thats really central Ohio, I was talking about Southern Ohio near Cincinnati.

QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 12:06 PM) I know, thats why I found the Rivals rankings. If the player is not on the East Coast, then ESPN is not looking at them. Their rankings for football are pretty hilarious at times. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 19, 2008 -> 11:49 PM) What a win tonight for the Hawks! Wow!! 4th line was good again and Seabrook finally had a good game. Took alot of restraint not to get pulled into the 10 fights Roy tried to start. -

QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 06:00 PM) Even with your "super class", KU for instance is still ranked higher with just 2 commitments at the moment. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/c...mp;viewmore=yes We still have a strong chance at Withey, Wall and Stephenson. Dont bring in ESPN rankings and expect to be taken seriously. They are beyond horrible in every sport. -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Dec 19, 2008 -> 08:05 PM) I agree with your premise Rock, but the Celtics are the best defensive team in the league. Thats doesnt say much, they dont stack up at all defensively to the 72-10 Bulls. Who is the celtics best defender? So match him up with Jordan. Who is next? Match him up with Pippen. Already they arent as good. Add in Harper, Longley and Rodman to that mix. Defense has taken a back seat nowadays. I implore you to watch a Bulls game from any of those years and look at the difference in defensive energy. -

Seriously, this Celtics team couldnt hold a candle to the 72-10 bulls team. They are so soft on D, and have zero depth. -

IMO our corners are absolute garbage and the pass rush has been terrible. Im not sure our safeties are a huge issue.
