I bet Dye will be back next year
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 10:56 AM) I understand why people would want JD back, but to me, the fact is, he should be a DH somewhere next year, and if he isn't a DH, he'll wind up just like this year; struggling for a month or two with some sort of nagging injury that winds up preventing him from putting up good numbers. I just don't think he has it in him to be a full time outfielder next season. Why would you say that? I would say that his production dropped ALOT because of his contract situation and the extra pressure he put on himself. It seemed to me like he was always trying to hard at the plate, and was still fielding fine in the field. I think we extend him a couple of years and he is the JD of the second half this season. I fulled expect something like: .284 .354 30 100

Chris Harris traded to Panthers
Harris was a good player, but nothing that isnt replaceable.

Official Love for the Milwaukee Brewers Thread
The cubs will make the playoffs, the division is just that bad. The NL east teams are beating on the NL central pretty bad right now, and the cubs are just the least bad team in their division. Of course who knows what will happen in the playoffs.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 8/02/07 (W)
Is there any other player in the league other than Kerry Wood that can get hurt like Erstad doing the most routine things in baseball?

QUOTE(briguy27 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 03:01 PM) Even though it won't happen, I wouldn't mind the man in my sig. no kidding, we would have to trade most of the rotation as well. Definately Thome, Garland, Vaz.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 03:00 PM) North endzone, row 14, and section 253 I think. with only 10 games I can't remember like I can the Sox tickets. Maybe after this crappy season I can move up a few sections for the sox. Bears......no chance

QUOTE(briguy27 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 02:57 PM) You really agree with me on the 08 lineup? I changed the SS with someone I thought may be a realistic target for KW. Other than that its pretty realistic IMO. We all know that KW is going after A-row, and I really like Richar as a lead off hitter.

Erstad is one major leaguer I know I could take. His body would shatter with one shot.

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 02:45 PM) Vaginal Dryness...... sorry I do love Jimmy, Im just frustrated. Im guessing its the side again. Either way its worked out pretty damn good with PODS in his place. With Cintron basically being an auto out its like batting paulie 3rd and having Jerry and PODS 1-2.

QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 02:40 PM) oh, yeah! that must be it dude. i think you've been spending too much time at Medieval Times! he's playing better for the phillies than he was for us. that's just the facts. Playing better? He hasnt even been there a month yet. Iguchi will most likely continue to perform as he has his entire career. Its a damn good thing we got rid of him and got something back otherwise he would have just walked without any compensation.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 8/02/07 (W)
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 02:36 PM) Yes, for the past 3 years, Iguchi has been playing for a loser, and now he is playing for a winner. GMAB frankie and Devito share the same brain I think.

QUOTE(frankie5angels @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 01:51 PM) It sucks to be the laughing stock of baseball. And sadly that's what we have become. yes, one bad season after winning a WS and 90 win seasons and now we are a laughing stock. Maybe its just to you.

Gavin Floyd?
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 02:04 PM) He was only talking about the Acquisition. Not the Removal. And Gio was a great aquisition for a couple of starts from Freddy. Gavin hasnt panned out yet, but who knows if he will be Jason Grilli 2 out of the pen some day.
