Floyd back to AAA
Gooch is an upgrade for alot of teams that are looking for the type of player that can advance runners and hit with contact a decent amount. I would really deal him for a pen arm honestly, or a marginal SS spect. I think Richar's numbers are decent enough to warrant a call up.

Floyd back to AAA
QUOTE(103 mph screwball @ Jul 10, 2007 -> 03:12 PM) Good point. That may be a move we see before the end of the year, but why move Floyd down? Just let Richar take Iguchi's spot if he is moved. KW in stealth mode. agreed. He is talking to someone. I honestly am ready to send Gooch somewhere else and see if we can cheap a 2B to save some cash next season. Richar, although raw, appears to be really hitting the ball well for us.

Floyd back to AAA
Richar has been raking in AAA and Iguchi is on the trade block... Just sayin.

Crede to start rehab in Arizona
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jul 10, 2007 -> 12:37 PM) I'd rather see Crede return healthy and then re-sign him and move Fields to the outfield. Defenders of Crede's caliber don't come around very often, and healthy, I still think he's a .300/30/100 guy for a few years to come. The operative word of course is "healthy." I honestly dont see a huge drop off defensively when fields is playing, not to mention the offensive potential. I would NEVER want to put Josh in the OF, his spot is 3B and he is the future for this org at that position.

Crede to start rehab in Arizona
QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jul 10, 2007 -> 11:50 AM) If Joe can play in Spring Training next year...hit a little, field a little, not get hurt, he'll be gone by opening day. hopefully

Aaron Rowand
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 10, 2007 -> 10:54 AM) I actually didn't mind that lineup. I dont either. The presence alone of Ichiro in the lineup makes it better than this years team.

Crede to start rehab in Arizona
QUOTE(IowaSoxFan @ Jul 10, 2007 -> 08:10 AM) Will the Sox offer Crede arbitration? Look what happened with Mags coming off of an injury, and when he did leave we received no compensation because he was non-tendered. The difference being that Maggs had to fly to another country to get a surgical procedure that was not allowed to be completed in the US. Joe had simple back surgery.

Treos, Blackberrys, RAZRs, and other cell phones
QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:15 PM) Has anyone used the Blackberry Pearl? I am thinking of selling my phone and picking one up. Any thoughts? if you type alot of emails, the predictive texting sucks

Red Sox/White Sox Trade Proposal
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 5, 2007 -> 12:05 PM) If Betemeit or the Dodgers Chinese shortstop are added into the deal would you change your mind? To me those would be the difference makers to me. However, I still think its best to sign Buehrle and than move Garland or Vaz for a ransom (as well as Contreras for whatever you get cause moving Jose is a no brainer). It would peak my interest a little more than just Kemp. We need to start filling holes regardless of value, and the middle infield and top of the order should be priorities. I for one, dont think Richar is the answer.

Red Sox/White Sox Trade Proposal
QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jul 5, 2007 -> 12:00 PM) Good point. Thanks, Kalapse. I dont like the Kemp deal either to tell you the truth. Frankly I like keeping Mark or addressing a serious need like a lead off hitter or middle of the field player. I think our young pitching could use some help but overall im pretty happy with the direction that is going. I really dont see much out there that interests me with Mark. Jose, on the other hand could go for a deal that would adress some power in the OF.

Red Sox/White Sox Trade Proposal
not nearly value enough. Willy Mo could be a piece but not the whole deal. He has proven in two stops that he may never reach his potential. I would say no deal. Good to hear from ya though

White Sox vs. Orioles, 7/04/07 (L)
isnt this a day game?

7/3 Games
QUOTE(BearSox @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) Logan Johnson went 3 for 6 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's... get him up to Kanny please. Put Shelby in the OF. that little guy can freakin hit. He appears to not care whether he is facing a righty or a lefty. He just plain rakes.

Why would you trade Bobby Jenks?
QUOTE(OilCan @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 08:05 AM) How fast was Bobby's fastball last night? And can someone theorize how/why Bobby's fastball is in the low 90s when in 2005 it was consistently in the top 90s???? Can you theorize how he has been more effective with his fastball in the low 90;s as compared to when it was in the high 90's?

White Sox vs. Orioles, 7/02/07 (L)
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 2, 2007 -> 10:08 PM) If he were consistently at 93-95 mph since 2005 it'd be different. But considering his past injury history and a continuous drop in velocity season to season (not to mention his second half struggles last year), I just can't assume it'll suddenly stop entering 2008. Ah, so ignore his actual performance and stats whatsoever, and consider his velocity drop and an injury that happened years ago, and THAT makes him ineffective.

White Sox vs. Orioles, 7/02/07 (L)
QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Jul 2, 2007 -> 10:07 PM) On what are you basing that statement? He has no velocity anymore and really doesn't have much to go with. Everytime I see him on the mound he's giving up a lot of hits. Funny. This is the lowest his WHIP has ever been.

White Sox vs. Orioles, 7/02/07 (L)
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 2, 2007 -> 10:00 PM) I hope people opposed to trading Jenks hold this game in their memory. Without a 98-100 mph fastbal to compensate for command, he's just not as effective at 93-95. I wouldn't be surprised if his velocity dips below 92 entering next season. Then what is Williams going to do? Worry about his replacement later. Why? Because his WHIP and BAA have never been better in his career?
