  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 04:53 PM) Probably, but Gio's stuff just looks more impressive to the untrained eye. Probably because he's lefty and short, but Gavin's stuff is supposedly dynamite when he's on and he's been on the last month. Gio's curve is nasty because its from the left side and sweeps a bit. Gavin's is a 12 to 6 nightmare.
  2. this guys gay whip arm throwing makes me want to puke.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 04:11 PM) Because if Crede stays on the roster than I think the Sox will play both Crede and Fields until Crede is eventually dealt. I actually have come to think Fields will be an above average 3rd baseman based on his current level of play and the strides he's already made since being drafted by the Sox. Crede may never play baseball again, at least not competitive enough to warrant moving the future of your franchise to showcase trade bait. Fields wont play LF.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 04:14 PM) I can't agree with that unless we traded Gio again. But other than Gio I'd probably agree with you. Gavin has better stuff than Gio.
  5. QUOTE(OilCan @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 02:08 PM) Question: If we compare "stuff", how comparable is Matt Garza to Gavin Floyd? Thanks....... Gavin probably has the best stuff in the Sox system.
  6. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 03:23 PM) Wasn't sure if he can play SS or 2B. Although I would imagine you are probably right about Fields playing LF. Why does everyone keep saying Fields is going to play LF? Has the guy done anything to make it look like he wont be a good 3B in the MLB? The guy is a good 3B. There is no need to move him to the OF.
  7. I personally think that with the interest in the Count and possibly Javy, KW has figured out that it is a win/win to keep mark and get rid of that salary. Even with Gooch traded we can save a bit of cash with Richar. It also appears that Gavin is finally ready and frankly I want to see what he can do this year. Lets trade other pieces, get thise xtension done and call it a season.
  8. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) LOL, those two clowns are still on B96? I'll give Rongey a pass. He has to spend half of his show trying to talk sense into complete idiot callers. He's actually a cubs fan. I wouldnt give him a pass. He is pure garbage.l
  9. QUOTE(Straycats @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 06:38 AM) From the NY Post Asked yesterday about the lack of pop in the Yankees' lineup - the team began play ranked seventh in the AL in homers - Joe Torre indicated it's a concern that could be addressed through a trade. "We've lost a couple of first basemen this year, so that would be one area," Torre said. "You wouldn't replace any of the outfielders and you wouldn't replace any of the infielders or the catcher, so it's a matter of finding someone who can give you a little pop or would be a threat." Paul Konerko of the White Sox and Tampa Bay's Ty Wigginton are two of the more attractive possibilities at first base. nope, not really. Thanks.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 09:43 PM) His D has been just fine so far....why do people make it sound like it's been a major issue? because they havent watched him actually play, and instead are going off of their previous notions about Josh. He is as close to a prime time prospect than we have had in years. He is going to be fine, and right now is better than Joe Crede was.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 11:23 PM) You mean like every other leadoff hitter in baseball? Even if he didnt steal a single base, the way he was playing when he got hurt was what we needed at the top of the order.
  12. QUOTE(Craig Grebeck @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 07:48 AM) This would be the most frustrating moment in my Sox life. why? Because you fail to know enough about the struggles of this team your only answer is to get rid of one of the better managers in the game?
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 02:14 PM) KW will bring FLoyd up. He will use the Masset isnt stretched out excuse that they have used in the past when they dont want someone to join the rotation just now. Floyd has been proving he deserves a shot lately anyway.
  14. QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 01:06 AM) Another guy with a rocky beginning in the majors for the Sox. Our guys always seem to be fighting uphill battles. Josh Fields is beginning to prove the wait and see approach may work.
  15. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 03:45 PM) Who is more exasperating: Dye or Uribe? Dye. Uribe has had an awesome day and is just slightly under his expected numbers, DYe is terrible.
  16. QUOTE(earthshiner @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 03:44 PM) Gregg walks fields then can't throw a strike to Terrero and Erroribe just swings at everything thrown up there. pathetic He got two strikes on him right away, did you want him to watch the 3rd strike?
  17. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 03:43 PM) What did Uribe do? He put a hell of a swing on the ball but it hung up barely for the CF'er. Pretty good at bat and approach hitting it up the middle. Anyone else who says different is not watching the game.
  18. QUOTE(NYSox35 @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 03:41 PM) F URIBE I hope you are kidding. That was a hell of a swing he put on the ball there. Get your head out of your ass. Also Josh Fields> Joe Crede.
  19. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 03:56 PM) That makes two Big Ten football coaches that came from Miami, OH in 2 years. Weird. 3 Randy Terry Bo
  20. KW says he is looking to add major pieces to the team.
  21. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 04:02 PM) They can build a rotation around Buehrle, Garland and Danks and get whatever they can for Javy and Jose. This is the most important piece of your post. With these three guys we have some great young talent that can pitch for years and keep this team in games. Injecting one prospect and perhaps one FA signing and we dont have to worry about our rotation for several years.
  22. QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 07:52 AM) Again, Dunn and the White Sox makes no sense. Dunn is a quintesential "sell off" piece from a team going nowhere. He should be traded to a team one power stick away from making a run, which the White Sox are not. How so? Who the hell are we starting in LF? Our middle of the order is terrible right now, and we need offense. You stick the slugger out in LF and bat him 6th and our lineup got alot scarier over night.
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) If we could find a way to move the salary of either Contreras or Vazquez to open a rotation spot and get another piece somewhere in the field in exchange for them, that's actually starting to seem like a pretty good idea. I think they are going to take a look at Floyd with how he has been pitching lately. I bet we move Gooch so we can get value for him, or we hold on to him for picks and just take the money saved by using a prospect and plug it into Buehrles deal.
