  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 28, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) Winning at LA will be difficult...........Hawks need a rally in 3rd period. Even if they snuck past with a miracle I think the Rangers are better.
  2. The team that had scoring issues all season just put up 19 in the last 4 games. Incredible.
  3. Nope they look like they are one gear short of the Kings. In the last we've wanted it more than other teams, I don't see that now.
  4. QUOTE (G&T @ May 28, 2014 -> 08:36 PM) There's no question. Seabrook especially looks asleep. No one is playing a body near the net. The defense has looked lazy at times all season. Definitely need some changes back there.
  5. I don't agree that was a softie but it's still a save he has to make. And clearly when I turn the game on the Hawks tank so back to the Sox game.
  6. Right after I posted he then missed a totally open net. Awesome.
  7. By rule if Versteeg has the puck the defense shouldn't pinch.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 28, 2014 -> 08:07 PM) A series ago, people were proving me wrong on Crawford. Don't worry, only 6 years left on that deal! Now the reactionaries are proving you right, score!!!
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ May 28, 2014 -> 07:58 PM) Time to accept that our D is no good and our goalie is probably worse In what timeframe?
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 28, 2014 -> 11:51 AM) If Beckham can stay healthy, he is a guy you want on the White Sox. Not trade fodder. His line since he got back doesnt look sustainable to me, especially moving forward but what do I know.
  11. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 28, 2014 -> 08:50 AM) Grow up at any time, probably wouldn't kill ya. COLLEGE KID JUST HAVING FUN Maybe we should trade him?
  12. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 27, 2014 -> 04:35 PM) In 2008, Brad Lidge put up an ERA of 1.95, FIP of 2.41, xFIP of 3.01, K/9 of 11.94, and went 41 for 41 in saves as the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series. No, it did not end Lidge's career. In hou it did but s*** I forgot he went to Philly and was great and then pretty good.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 27, 2014 -> 02:31 PM) Except Houston came back in the next game and won the series, lol. If anything, it just ruined Brad Lidge. Yeah it turned out it was the dagger for Lidge's career.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 27, 2014 -> 02:21 PM) That ball destroyed planets The dagger of all daggers I thought at the time.
  15. I dont want Abreu anywhere near the ASG including the HR derby. Stay home big man.
  16. QUOTE (TRU @ May 27, 2014 -> 01:46 PM) Yeah ive been swearing up and down I would never slide regardless of the situation. Even got thrown out at third once because I didn't want to slide and get that strawberry. This time though I just did it without thinking, and then immediately regretted it. Im definitely going to look into the compression pants. This was also the first week I decided not to wear my knee high socks. I've got an ankle to knee strawberry from a sliding catch in the OF. At least they heal quickly.
  17. Why cant I find a f***ing seal coating company that will do my driveway in oak Park. A company in Westchester told me they "dont come that far" Really?
  18. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:57 AM) Very true. Bowman put them in a bad position with the cap. And has failed to address the #2C issue for four years, and it's becoming even more apparent now. I still believe they could have had Kesler, and that would have been outstanding. It would have solved several issues that we are seeing now.
  19. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:53 AM) See to me it absolutely does. The Hawks weren't some dominant team in rounds 1 or 2. Now they are playing a team that's at a different level and they can't sleepwalk through periods or entire games. Yeah but you always think they suck.
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:51 AM) 4 more than the Kings have, that's it. And they sent a slew of guys to the Olympics as well. Adding Gaborik was a genius move compared to what the Hawks did at the deadline.
  21. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:47 AM) How many hockey games have our guys played in the last 16 months or so? Seems like an awful lot, especially considering the Olympics. I dont know what the issues is, Seabrook being completely lazy on two goals in the first was something that just shouldnt happen in the conference finals. Admittedly this season defensive lapses have been an issue but that was just horrific for a team that wanted to "turn it on." Then you have dumb mindless penalties when you need to come from behind. They just look spent to me mentally and physically. Of course that could be from trying to keep up with a team that smells blood.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:30 AM) The Kings have played two 7 game sets. Let's stop making excuses for the Blackhawks; they're just being outplayed. I wasnt trying to make excuses they just look slower than the Kings. Whether thats the Kings just being on another level or the Hawks looking worn out it just seems to be the case. This doesnt look like the same team that we saw in previous series.
  23. QUOTE (Tex @ May 27, 2014 -> 09:57 AM) Here where AC is everything and heating is an afterthought, many two story homes have two units. Managed carefully, I'm told, you will save on your electric costs. I would size the unit for what you have and worry about the upgrade later. A few things could happen, you never add on, either because you have sold the house, are renting it as investment property, etc. The next thing is in ten years you do build the addition and the technology has improved to the point where your ROI of a newer, bigger unit will be short instead of relying on the health of an older unit. Thats what I have, two units. However for me since its an old house I dont think the ductwork on my second floor was done correctly so thats also very important if you want to save money.
