  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 10:41 AM) Bostic may as well just run in circles, he may accidentally run into McCoy more times than if he actually tries to read the ball. I honestly think he will be a good to very good MLB at some point in the NFL, but his inexperience shows over and over when he picks the wrong gap. The guy has experience defending the read option offense, so maybe thats his specialty?
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 10:30 AM) Over/Under at 70? The Bears have a huge weakness in reading rushing attacks, and the Eagle will compound that with option and misdirection. Its going to be ugly.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 09:46 AM) It was still a 50 yard throw against the wind, while getting hit. I dont think anyone understands how windy it was there. Look at Gould's kickoff that was fumbled, the ball just stopped mid air.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 09:20 AM) Man, Bears coverage is obnoxious this week. One thing I've hated about the Cutler era is how so many sports writers just write their article on their stance seemingly unrelated to actual play. Cutler didn't play great, he was probably squeezing ball too tight and pressing in first half. But that said, Cleveland is a much much much better D than Dallas, and turnovers aside we drove it easily on them all day. Edit: But one thing that clearly Jay probably will never have is being comfortable in pocket. You could definitely tell the difference where Jay missed the opportunity to step up that McCown has made so easy. It buys the O so much time and try to guard Marshall/Jeffrey/Bennet for 6 seconds He probably still has nightmares about the lines he's played behind for the last several years. Plus its his first game back in awhile. Lost on all the women on Facebook who decided to compare McCown and Cutlers stats the last two weeks is something you added right there, Cleveland's defense is much better than Dallas's patchwork crap. He clearly settled down in the second half.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 08:57 AM) A police report with all different accounts and a medical report that indicates they had sex and had no indications of rape. It isn't like she came in all beat up with indications of force. I'm not saying he did or didn't do it, but I don't know what info was out there that clearly supported him being charged. I will say, I haven't followed and read a bunch of blogs, I"ve just seen what has been on the tv news but there was nothing I heard that supported rape. There are opinions from the nurse that examined her that pointed towards rape, plus the blood and bruising.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 14, 2013 -> 10:23 PM) Illini fading for long stretches with 8 minutes left against good teams happening alot under Groce. I think it was fairly obvious last night they just didn't have the horses to compete down the stretch. Only Rice was going to do anything and Oregon knew it.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 14, 2013 -> 10:31 PM) What facts? There is a police and medical report.
  8. Aj McCarron in second shows how laughable the voting is.
  9. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 07:38 PM) You forget I was here in July/August/September, so I went through all that s*** too LOL. Now that it's cold, it's 20x better. Not as many idiots blaring with the windows down. But, I always know when there's a concert because 11pm hits and there's homeless guys yelling everywhere. It makes people feel so uncomfortable, you can see them getting their own cab because, you know, they can raise their own hand. Speaking of Plush, I heard the story about the guy that was stabbed in the neck there and they dragged him out to the street before calling the cops. Sounded like a classy place. Really surprised it got shut down. Same here. West Loop by the UC has a ton of the cab guys. Bathroom attendants are all over Chicago. Not all bars, but a decent amount. Joke's on you, because you get a free bootleg copy of Toy Story 2 with your purchase. Guy was shot in the street on my birthday years back. Hilarious place. The owner was a real piece of s***.
  10. Please make someone else #1. OSU is not the best team in the country.
  11. I'm not convinced Spike is more than a seldom used fill in for foul trouble type player.
  12. Mason is very deserving of the Heisman based on his numbers.
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 03:50 PM) Ive always assumed that they can all get drugs, I just have a general rule about not buying drugs from someone in a bathroom. In NYC the "dealers" just walk around people smoking outside of bars offering. Its pretty easy.
  14. In Chicago its all about who is on the lease with the landlord. If he's not on there, then you have all responsibility for items in the unit and the rent.
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 03:09 PM) The problem with this is that it's so UNLIKE Jameis Winston. Now, obviously, we don't know the guy personally, but from all accounts (recruiting stories, HS and FSU coaches, teammates, media members) pretty much anyone who has ever come in contact with JW lauds how mature he is, how he's a great guy, a great leader, always laughing and joking, and has great character. That doesn't mean he can't make a stupid mistake, but I have a hard time believing it. Plus, the timing of when this went public is ridiculously suspect, and the attorney of the accuser today just threw out accusation after accusation about things being tampered with, deleted, who was or was not there, etc. The only reason it took so long to go public was the police and the DA's office. The police kept it under wraps for months without questioning or turning over evidence. THATS suspect. There are several people who are great leaders that are real pieces of s***.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 01:27 PM) It's a pretty s***ty job and it's s***ty that some people are essentially forced to do that. It's usually weird and makes everyone uncomfortable, and they're stuck standing in a bathroom all night. Those guys all volunteer for it if its at a bar. They come to your door with all this s*** and say, hey for free ill do this service. We had to kick out a few that were peddling coke on the side. Now THAT guy was smart.
  17. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 09:31 AM) Um, can I borrow that? And if you have a bazooka that would be great too, cars that blast their music at 2:00am need more than a BB. Yeah, it's all-around awkward. Here's this bum that insists on turning the water on and handing you a towel, something I'm perfectly capable of. I need to pay to go to the bathroom? What's next, a guy at my table that lifts my beer to my mouth so I can sip it, and I have to pay them too? Brian like you said, I've never tipped one. In fact, I've gone straight from the urinal to the door just to avoid the whole thing. That or I wait for some sort of interference with another guy so I can quickly wash and get out. Admittedly I got used to it, but when i first moved to the area it was a little quieter. Just wait till the summer and the motorcycles get going. When Plush was running there was a biker night. I called the cops on that guy yelling a few times, I went out there and gave him money to move down the street and finally after he came back I popped him in the leg with a plastic BB. Never came back after that.
  18. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 09:26 AM) Going away from the Illinois discussion for a second... I'll go on record and say that I completely think Winston raped the victim and I can't believe he wasn't charged with anything. This whole thing stinks. I feel like I'm watching a future 30 for 30 episode while it's happening. How FSU and the authorities were able to cover up and keep their Heisman QB eligible so they could go on to win a national championship. Between the awkward, laughing press conference, the piece Rock put in here, and now listening to "the victim's" attorney's press conference - there's way too much smoke here. I can't help but feel that this is a giant cover-up. This went away way too quickly, and there's way too many inconsistencies and oddities here. Of course its a cover up. But there is enough gray area in the legal system especially in Florida that there is nothing anyone can do.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 08:44 AM) I've never tipped one. I don't even go to places that have one very often. Think the last time I did was at a wedding reception and I didn't even realize it until someone told me later. A few of the bars I worked at, guys would come off the street and ask to provide that service. Our dumb GM always thought it "classed" up the place. Bulls***. All it did was crowd the bathroom.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 08:30 AM) Agreed. I'm a nervous pee'er How about why am I tipping you for handing me a paper towel out of the machine?
  21. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 12:21 AM) I think bathroom attendants are worse than the bums that think you need help calling for a cab, but it's sure close. The guy "helping" people with cabs on madison st after hawks games has taken a BB in the leg from me.
