  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 04:42 PM) That doesn't sound right at all, can you add a link so we can see what you're talking about? Yeah I think it was the guy who did it wrong. 11 minutes is not a real-world use case. The thing about electric cars is the batteries. I dont trust them. A gasoline car doesnt need an AC unit to keep its gas tank cool. Those batteries scare the s*** out of me right now.
  2. Okafor just tweeted that he has no leader and not to listen to rumors. Whatever dude, then dont say you are a package deal with a guy who is a Duke lock.
  3. We've all gotten so f***ing old.
  4. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 03:17 PM) I'm hoping that Tesla can come together with a truly great electric-for everyone car. They are f***ing fast. A few of them around here these days, amazing cars. The one I saw for sale was 75k
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 03:01 PM) Like I said, with the Volt, they were building this version as a test-bed. They used the structure of another car already being produced by Chevy, they didn't redesign it. That means they needed to steal a lot of room for the batteries and the electric engine, leading to less space in the car. The 2015 redesign should help cover that problem. Correct. It was a mad-scientist type project. My cousin did a similar one with the first version of the Neon back in the day. They put the batteries in strange places which led to failure and even combustion early on. I heard the newer version are supposed to be from ground up.
  6. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 02:29 PM) Bragg has been really positive about both OSU and Illinois. I'm hoping we can steal him from you guys, a little payback for taking KBD =) Its going to come down to the wire on him IMO. KBD is great, but Russell is by far the crown jewel of our class so far. Just need a big man now, especially since Okafor is Duke-bound.
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 01:53 PM) I used to see him and Jenks on the northside quite a bit around '05-'06 I always liked him. They came into the bar I worked at quite a bit. That crew was a good group of guys.
  8. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 02:10 PM) Yup, it's the reason why Groce is able to swing for the fences with Black/Cliff and maybe a guy like Snider now (though doesnt seem good early on for Illinois). Groce really needs a marquee guy or two in 2015 (Matthews, Bragg, or Brunson) with some good to great guys like DJ Williams and Aaron Jordan. Its going to be a battle to the death for Bragg. We think we want him and Kennard with Mickey Mitchell right behind as our 2015 class. Mitchell is the only one I would say is an OSU lean.
  9. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 02:06 PM) I'm still torn on what to get my wife. Government Motors just started a 5k off promotion on the Volt. Added with the Federal tax credit of $7,500 and the Illinois rebate for electric cars (10% of the base price of the car, so about $4k), I could basically get one for $24k. And the nice part is that my wife's commute (20-25 miles max) is less than the 38 mile range on the car. According to Chevy you can charge the thing for $1.60/day (assume that's a really low estimate and double it and that's still about a grand a year for "fuel"). Very, very tempting. Ford isn't offering any good finance deals on the ford fusion hybrid or the energi (the plug-in model) doesn't get any of the tax credits (as far as I can tell). Decisions, decisions. My cousin designed the Volt, its a solid car but has had some battery issues in the first few models. Be aware of that.
  10. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 01:53 PM) We have Cosby and Paul as transfers that year as well. Ah that would be the missing piece that I am not aware of.
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 01:48 PM) That's the "Handsome Neal Cotts" to you, Rock LOL, he's a friend of mine so a guy can dream. Texas would be a good trading partner if they were desperate enough to fill Cruz's position.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 07:33 AM) He also hadn't been touting Illinois as the leader for Black until yesterday and he said his change of opinion was based on new information so I'm thinking he heard something very positive for Illinois. Recruiting is fluid but I feel pretty good about landing Black right now. It would help out as Illinois recruiting looks pretty dismal in 2014 so far.
  13. Neal Cotts coming back from the Rangers.....
  14. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 01:11 PM) That was done in Europe, and even then, it's voluntary. It needs to be made involuntary world wide, heh. I dont get it. Most cars not have a USB input which is so much better than what was the "ipod dock" yet there is still no standard. One of the stereos I used with a dock just broke so I am down to 2 alarm clocks and the rest are bluetooth enabled.
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 02:04 PM) Probably allowed them to cut the bezel as thin as they did. I'm just a big fan of using the physical volume buttons for my camera shutter...I think having to tap a virtual icon on the screen when trying to take a picture is terrible, it causes the phone to move, etc. One of the really cool features it seems to have is Guest Mode, not sure if this is an LG thing or not, even though I wouldn't hand my phone to a kid at any point, but I could see that being quite useful for some. And I hate plastic phones in this price point, I really do. I still like the HTC One the best when it comes to Android. I went to the verizon store to check out the other devices since Apple is making me switch my docking connectors anyway with the new iphone (morons). Those Samsung phones feel cheap but look great. Such a disconnect in design vs function.
  16. Dennis Dodd skewered Pryor and his teammates for their actions a few years back. He just issued a formal apology http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/b...-future-at-risk
  17. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 11:45 AM) I can see both sides. If you let players sell their own memorabilia, then you will have big boosters paying players through memorabilia "sales". I'm not naive enough to think payments don't already happen, but if you make it legal, then suddenly Oregon, Oklahoma State, Arkansas etc are going to line up top 10 classes every single season. Thats exactly what's been going on in these programs for years. Under Tressel there was an open door policy in the locker room/equipment room as well where players can grab extra shoes etc and unload them. Its rampant across college football.
  18. I really like the name Madhouse on Madison. United is a bulls*** company and they can go f*** themselves.
  19. Nice to see everyone is now in Terrelle Pryor's corner.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 6, 2013 -> 02:27 PM) I'd like to say I am cheering for him to overcome it...but he signed with the Heat. I am not. He was pushing to sign with the Pacers but ended up down there. I MAY have cheered for him in Indy, now not a chance.
  21. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 10:03 PM) He'll be on the Heat exactly what he was in Portland, a millionaire benchwarmer. He's done. Reports were that he's been training hard and looking good, but im sure it was leaked by his agent. The guy had a genetic degeneration in his knees. He's still very young but its really hard to overcome.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 6, 2013 -> 12:45 PM) Welp, nevermind, insurance just said the car must be same make and model. Good thing I liked my Civic... Thats surprising, when I totaled my car I just got a check from them after they paid off my infiniti. Thats when I moved to my jeep 1.0
  23. I rent alot of cars and Ive come away impressed lately with the hyundai's ive driven. Alot of features and a strong engine.
  24. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 5, 2013 -> 05:56 AM) Just looking at Michigan's schedule, Notre Dame is their toughest game in the first 6 or 7 games before facing Michigan St, Neb, AT NW, and OSU. AT PSU will be tough as well, but would expect the offense to be much better than what Denard did and Gardner last year now with more time under center. That said, I probably jinxed them and will lose to Central Michigan. Just a question, you lost the interior of the OL and a heisman trophy candidate and the offense should be better? Denard accounted for more than half of UM's offense in 2012. I fully expect this to be a transition year for you guys.
  25. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 11:49 AM) Doing a google search, I've seen that people have had problems with it. Hope I don't after I call Comcast. 1. you need to have HBO (people seem to forget this on the google searches) 2. You need a comcast log in 3. You have to be in their database (they do batch file updates that take FOREVER) I use HBOgo on 3 devices right now and I am a comcast customer. No issues whatsoever. Being the scenes HBOGo is doing a lookup in the user database of one of those providers. If they dont see the correct attribute (yes for HBO) or see something different than what it expects in the table it wont work. Once you do have the correct info it returns a "yes" which in turn issues your HBOGO app an access token which has a really long expiration date. So once you get it working it should be good. However you are talking about crossing a mobile app that was developed and put out by HBO with a disparate company that is accepting the webservice request to look for your identity or in this case a specific attribute that correlates with your identity.
