  1. I honestly feel bad for serious Cubs fans. They cheer for a team that legitimately doesnt give a s*** about them. Their stadium will be full and continue to crumble, and nothing can be done about it.
  2. Food is all Levy catering, f***ing good.
  3. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 09:11 AM) He's been incredibly annoying all series, and unfortunately his "analysis" has really suffered. This broadcasting group used to be my favorite (hopefully they can get Kerr to replace Jackson), but JVG just shuts up when something doesn't go the Heat's way. And his "oh that's a clear no call" or "that's a missed call!" commentary rarely fits what actually happened, especially on replays. I did like when they were calling out Wade on his travel when he dragged his pivot foot and they actually showed a replay.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 08:00 AM) Y'all know what might have helped Lebron find a groove if his jumper wasn't falling? A rudimentary low-post game. /Reminder. Yup. Guess what he's good at, midrange jumpers and getting to the hoop, two things that are outcomes of having a good post game at his size. And I LOL'ed at the commentators comments last night about Dirk. First saying that this is the first time that people will know who he is, and second putting him up there as a GOAT. He's very awesome, but I think of him as more of a Hakeem quality player.
  5. Theres something positive in all of this Lebron, at least it wasnt Greg Oden and his baby's arm.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 03:19 PM) Even Canadians realize that the Canucks suck: Canucks have become NHL’s most-hated team Awesome. Although I wish some of these writers would interject Canucks fan's opinions of their team. Their own fans think that they are not suited for the "goon hockey" than the Bruins are playing. They still think they are some speed finesse team.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 03:32 PM) So, I'm guessing the awesome part involved the heroin? Ha. Touche. Sometimes the smell would be enticing, and it was awesome to pop downstairs when hammered and grab a burrito (combo of course). Other times, just looking into the window on your way home or way out made you sick, especially when feeling kinda s***ty. Great place to pick up drunk chicks though. Ironically in the basement was a bar, so there were some great excursions for the night when we didnt even leave the building.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 03:08 PM) That sounds awful. Sometimes, and sometimes it was awesome. They ended up shutting it down because apparently they had been dealing large amount of Heroin out of the back door.
  9. Not sure why its sideways, sorry
  10. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 02:56 PM) Do you have a La Bamba? They were open late in Normal. Not great food but my taste buds weren't great either when I went there at 3 am. I lived above it in Oxford.
  11. That was the Bull's biggest weakness. They played good enough defense to beat the Heat, but their scoring down the stretch was lacking. They could still sacrifice some defense to add some scoring and beat the Heat.
  12. Good luck finding just out of HS girls to be runners and sleep with highly paid traders in Indiana.....Well at least attractive ones.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) White Castle=best late night drunk food Can of worms, opened. Tacos, Gyros, Pizza, straight up breakfast are all in contention.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 01:20 PM) Ozzie should be a bench coach. He's the ideal guy for that job, IMO. Put him with a patient and skilled game manager, and they could make a great duo. (Gene Honda) Robin VEN-TOUR-AH
  15. Meh, that team may have contended 10 out of 100 times. Anderson going down with TJ didnt help.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 01:21 PM) this deal is worthless to me without the Italian Night Club being included Hahahaha. Such a great sandwich, yet so terrible for you.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 09:34 AM) The mental midgets are in trouble. Roberto Luongo is hilarious. Man, I really wish we'd have had Bolland for all 7 games. God, I miss Blackhawks hockey... hopefully they can make some solid adjustments this offseason. They will. The injuries and rotating of new guys hurt them a ton this year and they still almost knocked out the best team in the league. If they could possibly unload a big contract, I would feel very good about next season.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 08:47 AM) Back in the saddle yet? One thing I will say about P90X...the basic structure you build definitely stays in place, even if the bulk does disappear. After taking about 3 months off, I am pretty happy with how things have come back after only 10 days or so back in the saddle here... MRI tomorrow on my knee. Doctor was pretty sure its a torn meniscus.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 10:11 AM) Until they had to turnover said evidence to the NCAA's eventual investigation, at which time they would have gotten into much, more more trouble, ala USC. This wasn't benevolent OSU, this was covering its ass OSU. Maybe its better I stay out of this thread until August since everything I say is looked at differently than what I actually posted. My point was that they didnt half ass an ONGOING investigation, not that they were benevolent. Maybe my definition of half-assed is different than most people, because I dont think its accurate when people are actually doing work that brings about more things to report to the NCAA.
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 11:42 PM) They did, because it was obvious they needed to do so in hopes of decreasing the penalties from the NCAA. Had they somehow let him stay, it would end up being much worse. They don't really deserve credit for that move...come on. Actually they fired him because he violated his contract (the board did this) because of the material found during their investigation including thousands of emails and hundreds of thousands of phone calls analyzed. Obviously they should have fired him soon, but you missed the entire point by splicing out one line of my post. Their internal investigation is the only thing that found his lies. A half-assed one would have missed it, ignored it, or even lied about it.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 07:58 PM) Ohio State DIDN'T half ass their investigation? I'm just going to assume you're joking, because such a statement can't be made in any other fashion. The fact that their investigation came up with anything just shows how deep and far all of this went. I get the impression you think it's over already, and that's ok if you think that. But it's not true. Second, who determined Tressel lied? Who forced Tressel, the second best coach in OSU history out of the door? Who just advised Pryor that he should leave or he will be kicked out? It's all part of the original investigation, the difference now is that there are also NCAA folks with them. And I hope they find every last piece of bulls*** and rid it from the program. The media can focus on "ex friends" and lying about players that don't even have Tats and still had all of their memorabilia. The university and the NCAA will find the real s***, and hopefully get all of it.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 01:54 PM) Will you be hugging their nuts if the media does? For what?
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 02:34 PM) If their coach tries to hide this for months upon months, and then their athletic department puts together a half-assed, short investigation that covers a lot of things up? Then I would say they probably will. Ah yes, back to my team of course. Actually OSU's investigation is what turned up the emails that showed Tressel lied to the NCAA. If they did it half assed, they wouldnt have.
