  1. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 04:38 PM) Bob McKenzie says Akim Aliu is the prospect from Hawks going to Atl. f***!!! I LOVED the deal until I heard that. I wanted to see Aliu in a Hawks uni.
  2. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 01:49 PM) I've eaten at two Legals and one was excellent (the one across from New England Aquarium) and the other very forgettable (is south Florida). The family that started Legal was instrumental in the modernization of the way commercial seafood is handled and processed in the US though, so yeah, they have quite a good industry reputation for quality control. Legal in White Plains NY is fantastic.
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 03:43 PM) I really hate having to play Ghana. Maybe it is because I still have memories of thinking about how Ghana was a bunch of nobodies 4 years ago only to see us get our asses completely kicked. Ghana is better than the US, luckily not Germany-better. It was the best case scenario.
  4. QUOTE (WCSox @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 02:57 PM) Flowers as well. Which is why I believe that somebody like LaRoche is the best that Kenny will do at the deadline (if anything). Then they arent going to do anything because the rest of our prospects arent really worth a damn to other teams.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 02:27 PM) And if we're not able to spend much money next year...dealing Hudson right now is crazy, because he gives you the ability to start next year with a rotation equal or better to this one's for basically the same money. Otherwise, you have to replace Garcia, who has pitched like a $5 million/year pitcher so far this year. I think they think Sale will be ready by next year, they are THAT high on him.
  6. QUOTE (WCSox @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 02:10 PM) Fielder will most likely cost a top prospect, and Kenny is unlikely to part with Hudson or Flowers. Not sure that I'd even want Berkman, either. LaRoche might be the most realistic option, though he's hardly an impact player. Agreed. Kenny is going to part with at least Hudson if you want an impact player. There is no other alternative unless you consider dealing Danks or Floyd. Huddy will go as well prob one or Danks2, Morel, or Flowers. They will be gone.
  7. So beyond the awful drivel being posted by KHP and WC back and forth, who are we going to add? Well, KW has been after AGON, Berkman and Fielder in the past. I would say Mil and Hou are the most likely sellers. Dunn isnt going to be traded so it leaves us with those two options. Hudson is most likely gone for anyway as well as at least one other real solid prospect. With the signing of Sale, the org probably thinks it can get away with mortgaging a future arm. My guess is that KW is speaking with Milwaukee about fatFielder.
  8. QUOTE (MEANS @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 01:17 PM) went home during lunch to pick up my iPhone 4, activation went smooth, loving the screen on this, so freaking clear and sharp! Sweet!!! Hows the glass on both sides?
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 10:41 AM) I love World Cup flopping. "OMG OMG!! HE HIT MY PADDED ANKLE! IT HURTS SOOOO MUCH! oh he got a yellow card, I'm ok now." Their ankles aren't padded. Only children wear the shinguards with the ankle attachment.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 10:13 AM) Yeah, it didn't seem to do much to my 3G either...I tried to find the usual video which explains the features of the update, but couldn't find it... Works good on my 3gs. Not sure of all the features yet, but im getting there.

  12. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 06:17 PM) Well I finally bought Red Dead. How is it? I am going out to purchase it shortly
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 11:11 PM) The reality is...there are zero amazing performances between 1985 and 2005 that aren't going to get people suspicious. I was listening to B&B the other day and they quickly exonerated all pitchers from being on steroids because "steroids only help you with trying to mash the ball." Not true at all. Those substances helped many pitchers in that era not only recover quickly from outings, but slow the breakdown of their shoulders over the tail end of their careers. Those guys were going out every 5th day feeling much fresher than a natural player would.
  14. OSU losing players left and right. Recruit Jamel Turner gets shot, Duron Carter leaves because of grades and Keith Wells is gone most likely because of grades as well.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 02:05 PM) Is Viciedo the big bat we need? Can CQ start f***ing hitting consistently? Can AJ get the average back to .290 territory? Will Beckham start hitting the ball? Will Kenny get creative and add a DH and drop that worthless turd Jones and turn Kotsay into only a pinch hitter? Can the Sox trade Teahen somehow so he doesn't ruin the mojo when he comes back? Go SOX! I'll tell you this about Viciedo, he has a TON of oppo power, which is nice to see out of a traditionally pull happy lineup.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 08:21 AM) Wow, Portugal taking it hard to North Korea, up 7-0. I hope Kim Jong Il takes it easy on these guys when they get home, some of them might end up missing after this result. They have no answer for Ronaldo. Love seeing those bastards get whooped.
  17. Out. We just played 3 of the worst teams in all of baseball and still had a ton of close ballgames. They just arent very good.
  18. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 11:19 PM) He also said Strasburgs was much, much worse. Like Jeff said, you really could say that to most prospects even with the "perfect mechanics" right Mark Prior? Strasburg's is much worse. He will either blow his elbow out, or not. Nobody really knows at this point since so many factors come into play.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 10:50 AM) That ref flat out cheated for Slovenia. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he was bought off. That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen, you dont really have an argument for that call. Basically they didnt want the US to win.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 10:27 AM) He's 20. His range is very good. Range Runs (a component of UZR) has him at 2.7. What makes his UZR mediocre is his Error Runs, which is at -3.5. It looks like he has trouble with routine plays (zone rating of only .756), but he's made 19 plays out of his zone. The kid's got talent on defense, he's just clumsy. Kind of like Alexei. He's going to be their 2B anyway. They have an asian SS coming up that is outstanding defensively.
  21. I bet you a beer that the twins get him very soon to play 3B.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 09:03 AM) It's getting quiet in here folks...WHERE IS everyone???? I skipped a few days this past week due to drunkeness, so I am a few days behind my schedule. Had yoga yesteday, Legs & Back tonight... Did a 4 mile run yesterday for my cardio, will be doing shoulders and arms tonight.
  23. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jun 16, 2010 -> 05:25 PM) Well news like this was eventually bound to happen after his slow start. Hopefully it's only something like a dead arm, something that I guess that Buehrle has had to deal with over the years when he's struggled. Certainly doesn't boost Peavy's trade value (if he actually had any) though. Trading him would be dumb anyway.
