QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 07:54 PM) Hey Rock, are you still happy with the Muscle Milk light? I've been making a chocolate flavored shake every day for breakfast with a banana blended into it. I'm really happy with it, but don't really know the difference... Im actually taking the regular stuff since they changed their formula, I'm finding its a great post workout shake. I'll supplement my shakes with the occasional ISOpure protein drink once a dayish. I've been throwing a touch of peanut butter in with my cookies and cream after workouts for the MM regular.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 06:52 PM) Yeah, I think it was because most of the exercises were new to me, but it also seemed like the exercises didn't work as well together as they did in Back & Chest. Muscle confusion at its best. Your shoulders will be sore in new places because of the rotational exercises.

QUOTE (T R U @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 07:20 PM) What do you absolutely need for P90X.. dumbbells and that's it? I don't really need a mat.. Pull up bar or bands that hook into your door. Dumbbells are a plus if you dont want to use bands.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 06:39 PM) I just finished Chest, Shoulders & Triceps myself. It was pretty brutal for me first time through...Plus, I broke the band I use for my triceps the other day, so my work in that area was really weak. Not a particularly good workout by me today. Need to clean it up! Now I remember this dvd, and how much I hated it until I went through it a few times. Once you hit two twitch speed pushups, if you are toast, you are going to suffer through that workout. f*** im tired.

Alright, new month, new workouts. Chest Shoulders and Triceps tonight with a delightful ARX routine at the end.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 02:47 PM) Yeah, I agree. My first reaction was like everyone else, f*** them. But I've been going to Phoenix/Tucson for several years now and the truth is no team brings in the fans like the Cubs do, not just from Chicago but all over the country. It's a pretty savvy move on their part to ask for it and I'm not so sure they don't deserve it. Alot of those people live in AZ as well though. They do have alot of fans in Mesa watching their games, but not so sure every other team benefits from it as much as Mesa does.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 11:01 AM) My only worry for OSU would be their lack of depth. They go 6, maybe 7 deep. Get in a little bit of foul trouble during the tourney, and you can get sent home just like that. Gus Johnson should announce every college basketball game. Just Awesome. They only go 2-deep with post players which is a huge weakness. Any team with a big inside presence will give the Buckeyes problems. -
How well will the Twins play outdoors on grass?
RockRaines replied to VAfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The metrodome was one of the biggest home field advantages in baseball. With the pumped in crowd noise, the enigmatic fans and the terrible turf, no other team could play there better than the Twins. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) Scherzer sliding into the rotation makes them stronger but losing Jackson doesn't make them weaker? Its a large downgrade on paper. You have a guy who was crucial for them last season leaving town and you are sliding an NL west pitcher into the rotation.

Nice to see a win even with Turner being off. Right back where they need to be in the conference standings. -
QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Feb 14, 2010 -> 10:27 AM) Law also does not consider Viciedo a prospect. According to Law, many other talent evaluators view him the same way for some reason. Prospect or not, he's a valuable piece of the farm system - although that value does drop quite a bit as he shifts across the diamond to 1B. Someone had mentioned earlier that a package including Hudson, D2, Flowers, Morel, Viciedo, Mitchell (as a PTBN), etc. would be an alluring group depending on what said team needs/is looking for in return, which I very much agree with. The problem is that the above group is very short on pitching, and usually pitching prospects are viewed as gold. Law doesnt consider the 20 year of Viciedo a prospect, yet strokes the Cubs 19 year old kid. He's an idiot.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Feb 14, 2010 -> 09:48 AM) My worst thing is that I eat well throughout the day, morning to dinner, but after dinner I binge eat. Grab some dark chocolate M&Ms, some ice cream and the likes. I wish I could just cut out my foods after dinner, but I can't. Any tips for curbing hunger or how to not eat after dinner. I eat around 7 p.m. and go to sleep around 11. My major weakness as well. I have been trying to eat turkey slices or some other protein which fills you up pretty good. Ill even save a protein shake for late night. Drink TONS of water as well. I still have bad nights, but not as frequent.

QUOTE (T R U @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 10:36 PM) I know, most of what I am talking about is pretty much just what should I expect to get from P90X.. Ive played sports all my life, when I was in college I was majoring in Kinesiology.. Im still athletic, and muscular, however ive been pretty lazy the past year or so and have had terrible eating habits.. I have definition in my midsection, its just currently covered by fat that I need to ditch.. Basically, im not some fat kid who is looking to get into shape.. more of I want to get back to where I once was, and go past it as well to be better.. The is designed for you then. P90X is for athletes that want to take that next step. You cannot complete this program if you dont already have some level of fitness. I am literally doing it to welcome my 6-pack back, the rest is gravy to me.

I feel like Illinois is going to pull this one off today, but hopefully ET and Buford show up and make it a contest. -

QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) Let's see: As a fan of neither Big 10, nor Big 12, I'll make general comparisons of overall recent men's bball/football success. Ohio State =/ Penn State = Oklahoma Michigan > Nebraska Wisconsin =/> Texas Tech Michigan St. =/ Iowa > Missouri Purdue = Oklahoma St. Indiana = Colorado Illinois =/> Kansas St. Minnesota = Texas A&M Northwestern xxxxx ----- Baylor Still not sure what that has to do with the comment that if Texas joined the Big Ten that OSU wouldnt see a conference title since Texas would dominate the conference. That was the point that was made, and thats what I replied to. And I'll even add something. I am not saying OSU is so much better than Texas, in fact OSU may have split the conf titles with them the last few years, but anyone who claims Texas would come into the B10 and dominate is either f***ing retarded or Mark May. They are a top tier program in the country dont get me wrong, but so is Ohio State. And there is NO chance in hell that Texas would beat them year in and year out, NO chance. Its not going to happen anyway, but I'd love to see a Texas team come up to Madison, Columbus, Ann Arbor, or Happy Valley in November and play a conference game. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 05:03 PM) The nutrition plan they give you is really strict. The first 30 days they allow you to eat very little fat, carbs, or even fruit. It basically calls for all lean protein, vegetables, and some dairy. I think it's pretty difficult to follow the nutrition plan to the letter. I have made some adjustments in my diet, but have certainly eaten more fat, carbs, and fruit than they would have liked. I'm not trying to be in the infomercial, so I am not going to make myself miserable. That's not to say you should continue eating s*** though either. I just think maybe a bit more reasonableness or moderation works well for me. Frankly if you cut out all the fast food and s***, and go grocery shopping and make healthy meals and follow the workout program, you'll be good to go. You'll prob drop a TON of body fat and 3-4 inches on the waist at least.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 01:51 PM) Ohio State doesn't have to compete with Oklahoma and back in the day Nebraska. You could compare Nebraska to Michigan because they once were great and now aren't. The last 6 Big 12 titles have gone to OU or Texas. Still trying to find the Texas relevance in your post. Are you saying that there is no competition in the Big Ten or something? Michigan has been bad for 2 years, if 3 years ago is "back in the day" then I guess I am getting very old. I am aware that OU has won a majority of the conference titles since Brown started at Texas, no sure how that makes Texas look like they would dominate the Big Ten and especially one of the best programs in the country over the last decade. The statement made was that OSU wouldnt win another conference title because Texas would dominate so much. I am still trying to figure out where that opinion would even come from considering they havent dominated their own conference. Texas and OSU have met 3 times in the last several years, 2 were ridiculously close contests and one was a blowout in Austin. I struggle to see how those Texas teams would blow through the B10 conference so easily that the top program wouldnt sniff a conference title. And forget about UM, PSU and Wisconsin, NO chance at that point. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 03:00 AM) Interesting. I was not aware of that. Usually I drink it after I get out of the shower, so about 45 mins after my workout. You think that is ok? Drink Chocolate milk immediately after you workout. Or drink a shake with more carb content right after your workout. I also have one about 30 min before.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 12, 2010 -> 05:29 PM) I've read the same, but I don't think it'll go through. If it did though, OSU can kiss future Big Ten titles away. Texas will run this conference. I'm sure Texas A&M and Oklahoma will still face off with Texas though. LOL, in bball? MSU runs this conference. In football, Texas hasnt been more dominant than OSU so not sure what sport you are actually referring to. Maybe OSU wouldnt win back to back to back to etc, but they would still win their share of titles. Texas has won 2 conference titles under Mack Brown, they've only made 4 BCS bowls. OSU has 7 conference titles since 1998 (when mack joined texas) and 7 BCS games. OSU has had more first round NFL selections than Texas so there isnt a talent question. So I'm wondering, what makes you think that Texas would dominate the Big Ten and the most dominant team in the Big Ten just because they switch conferences. -
QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Feb 12, 2010 -> 07:23 PM) The A's, O's, Blue Jays, and Royals are all rebuilding. And they all suck. Unlesss Thome is going to sit all season, the Twins are also rotating DH's. Do they suck?

What a great deal. Not sad to lose Barker at all.

And Richmond will be matched up with this fellow McD's AA in Big Ten play. http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/...recruitId=44077 DeShaun Thomas. Beast. OSU got 2, thought they had 3 in the bag. Actually surprised at how many undecideds there are on this team. -
Alot of people on P90X for the 2nd or third time will do insanity doubles or will switch off days between P90 and insane.

Well boys, I cheated today. Supposed to do X stretch, and instead did shoulders and arms and ARX.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 03:13 PM) http://twitter.com/JimBowdenXMFOX/status/8977380156 Looks like sox management is finally getting their head out of their ass with the rotating DH, especially when you can do it with a much better hitter in Damon than Kotsay/Jones. Like I've said before, its a FACT they have been chatting about Damon a good amount of time in the offseason. His demands have only recently come down.
