QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 11:38 AM) That isn't right. They got more than a 1st pick and a 3rd rounder. I believe it was another 1st round pick as well. Or at the very least a future 2nd round pick. I'm 100% sure it was more than just a 1st and 3rd. Edit: Yep, 1st, 2nd (2012), and 3rd rounders, and Tim Dwight (Univ of Iowa) The Falcons got the opening pick in exchange for the fifth overall pick in the first round, their third-round pick, their second-round pick in 2002 and wide receiver Tim Dwight. that makes more sense, but still.... in both trades the teams jumped 4 spots (from 5 to 1, and 6 to 2), and the redskins gave up 2 1st rounders and a third, while the falcons gave up a 2nd, a 3rd and receiver nobody heard of

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) Easy to confuse them, because the Chargers also had the #1 pick the year Vick was there but traded that pick to Atlanta for the #5 pick and a 3rd rounder. wow...put that in perspective with what the Rams just did.... #1 pick for #5 pick and a 3rd rounder vs. #2 pick for #6 pick, two more 1st rounders, 1 more second rounder

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 11:32 AM) Peyton was in the same draft as Ryan Leaf(who went #2). Not sure the other QB's in Vick's draft off the top of my head and I believe Eli was with Rivers (who the Chargers got in the trade, along with other picks), Cutler, etc. iirc brees was the other qb in the vick draft eli was in there with rivers and big ben cutler was in a different draft with leinart and young

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 11:12 AM) man, this is going to be a complicated discussion. Luck is a pure passer, RG3 can pass and run. Sort of similar to the Vick and Manning draft, Manning came out on top due to the Superbowls, but Vick has always had the hype and the glamor. neither manning was in the same draft as vick i said luck (as most will seeing as how he is essentially the consensus #1 pick), but if the question is luck, griffin, or the field then i should have said field.

I'm glad I'm not a redskins fan. that org is so dumb. Even if RG3 is cam newton (which I have my doubts) he's not worth 3 1st rounders and a 2nd. My god. That's more than bears gave up for cutler and he already had a probowl season under his belt

Finnegan is a Perfect Tampa 2 corner. I'd love to have him as Jennings is a FA I believe. Only question is at what price. Typically since the cover2 corners aren't the 1-1 cover guys, it hasn't been a position to invest heavily in, but they do need to get better at CB

well, their 3 pt shooter hit his wide open 3 at the end of the game, ours didnt. their superstar was 11-19 from the field, ours is 6-22...not gonna win like that
-
ugh another bad shot for derrick....3 straight open looks for korver and he missed em all
-
cant put your hands on the official like that .....thats gonna get called 100% of the time
-
hard to believe those were roses first FTs of the game... jesus if they breathe on howard he gets the foul call

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 11:20 PM) Agree to a certain extent, but he's getting hacked with no calls tonight ya its certainly not a huge issue, its just something he can improve on...the guy is obviously fantastic, and this is honestly the most frustated ive been with him all year (which is unbelievable actually) btw lol at pippen right behind van gundy cheering the foul call
-
WTF THAT IS NOT A FOUL
-
also, you are off your rocker if you dont recognize how absurdly good dwight howard is. if you can pair him with rose, youll find easily find role players in the coming years to fill around the two (ie like battier with miami this year ,etc)
-
rose is playing like s*** Some of you will rip on me for this, but derrick ometimes pushes it a bit too much and takes bad/wild shots....he pushes the envelope when he gets amped up alot....he was 4/17 after the first quarter yesterday, and 5/17 tonight Its something he is improving on (he did it quite often 2 years ago)....but the last 6 quarters hes really labored IMO

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 5, 2012 -> 11:05 AM) I'm having some pretty uncomfortable pain in my right foot when I work out... specifically, when I play basketball or run, and then following any workout, pretty much all the time. Everything I find on the interwebs regarding injuries to a metatarsal says the pain should present in the ball of the foot, but I'm getting it in very specific spot. I tried resting for a week, played ball, and it felt fine during exercise and started hurting the next morning. The pain is in the area shown below, circled in red. The pain is localized on the right side, presenting underneath that bone. Any tips would be helpful. its absolutely impossible to tell anything about it without and examination, or at least a more detailed explanation - the red circle helps, but is it on the dorsum (top) or plantar surface (bottom) of the foot? is there swelling/heat/redness? are you able to still walk on it? was there some sort of trauma to it? I'm certainly not an orthopod or physical therapist, but likely its just inflammation from overuse, and most experts are going to tell you rest/Ice/NSAIDs. Not sure how your shoes fit, but a pair that fits well will probably help. Its possible theres a fracture but given the fact that the pain is only with workout, probably unlikely. sorry i can't help more - ptatc will probably be able to help as this is his area of expertise

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 09:40 AM) I think most everyone figures he is likely to fall back at least a little bit, maybe more. Do they have a list of likely comeback candidates? Because this team really only had PK overperforming last year, a couple guys around their average years (Alexei, Floyd), and then a whole lot of guys who underperformed. That is really the one reason why I think this team might beat expectations. they had a breakout players list...no sox were on it

Also after beating the heat, the lakers went on to lose back to back games against the pistons and wizards
-
Rose was a pretty bad 4 of 17 after the first quarter. He definitely made it when it counted tho, and did a good job getting to the line
-
the lack of depth in the organization is mind blowing

lol at melton...."crain was fighting influenza. Well not influenza, but the flu, some sort of virus"

at least peavy feels as good as he possibly can

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 03:45 AM) Mario Williams has become an unrestricted free agent. I'm not even going to dream about a Williams + Peppers duo because it would get my hopes up way too much. And it would make me have to change my underwear. i cant see that htey will have the cap room to do this, but they had interest in cliff avril, who, if not tagged, would have gotten a big deal too. so why not williams?
