had something similar happen to me in practice once....had a pop up straight behind the plate, went back to get it running full speed and tried to catch it two handed...botched the play and had the ball come straight down on my finger nail....i gave it a minute or two and thoguht i was good to go once i got the ball in my hand, i went to throw it back to the pitcher and 4 times in a row i air mailed it near the second baseman....just couldn't put pressure on it no matter how hard i tried and each time it got to the exact same point before my bodies reflexes took over and my finger came off the ball

it was time to get concerned last year when he had an OPS of .708, and only walked 23 times in 504 ABs ...i said that all throughout the last couple months last year and i got Roasted by alot of posters i'm not counting on him ever being a difference maker in the majors....hes still young enough to prove me wrong, and i hope he does, but im not optimistic about him....especially since it sounds as if he will have to play 1b or DH, and he would have to DRASTICALLY improve offensively to justify being able to play one of those spots in the majors

haha i just dont get that from denver..... how long does taylor mays stick around .....if the bears have the means to get up to the late 30s and hes still around they have to think about it IMO....they probably don't have the means to though

peavy has been given 5 different leads in his 4 starts this year and has been given a lead of 2 runs or more 4 times this year and has yet to hold a single one so for all of you saying we dont have a right to b**** about him....you are wrong
