Just watching first ep of Average Joe confirms it. The chick is so f***ing superficial and it's cringeworty watching her talentless ass try faking interest, even with all the money involved. And men? They are sitting around b****ing about women being so superficial and shallow and how they are constantly rejected by cruel society because of their looks...And YET when they first saw Melena (sp?), ALL they could talk about is how fuking HOTTTT! she was, making self-aggrandizing jokes and stuff. Hypocrite losers.

Furthermore, I personally prefer seeing REALLY hot, unique, personality-endowed women (Halle Berry, my girlfriend, etc...lol) in tease-arific designer outfits just showing you ENOUGH, knowing full well they hold the power of making your balls explode with a gesture or a pose....instead of ugly vacuous porn rejects spreading their legs for close-up in some third-rate rag. I am sorry, but I can't understand how anyone NOT in the gynecology racket could enjoy flipping through Hustler or most porn. Mystery of female body and flirting drives me crazy and is payoff in itself sometimes....But I guess imagination went out with the dinaseurs, to each his own. As far as Britbot? Why would she do Playboy? Darva Conger and Enron women did it, for crying outlout! Hasbeen like Pam Anderson and Electra suit it more.....No, Britney (and Beyonce to lesser extent) should realize she is still a HOT commodity, and leave Playboy-type desperation to uglies like Cristina Augilera or Paris Hilton, instead trying to protract her fame/sex appeal into her 40s ala Madonna. She just did Angie Dickinson-style cover of Rolling f***ing Stone. Still on top of the game even if transition from girlhood requires more marketing ingenuity.....In short, no need to throw it all away for a "7-figure" pay just yet, IMO.

Of course Beatles are overrated, how could they NOT be?! They are simply not the genii world-savers they've been billed as for some 40 years. Nobody can justify that kind of hype. Not denying their were immensely influential or seminal, just stating the obvious. (I also find it hilarious that we are debating relative merits of bands, nitpicking really all the while Titney, J-Lo, Oldonna and Co are operating on the grand scale with total critical impunity. They are fun and harmless afterall, no? Some perspective here.) Subjectivity aside, one thing is for sure: Beatles' song-writing talent outgrew their ability to instrumentalize and perform it almost immediately. That much is certain. LIBN? Anyone here who actually PREFERRED "sound-wall"? Spector is shady fo sho, but Paul Mac's scapegoating skills were always amazing.

Underwear? Over Work Pants or jeans? Zipper, obviously. Tried sitting down. And more. All in all, I am a pretty versatile, liberated piss-taker.

If he is anything like he's been billed (and I will believe it when I see it), he is worth more than Jose. Not that it makes him any less unaffordable--Sox have no money and there is no getting arounf that fact. He will put fans in seats, but how many extra fans? Enough for extra 2-3 Mill? I doubt it.

Kurt Heinrich: slow, scared, mediocre passer who can't shoot. When you see a real point guard like Marbury, the contrast is incredible. Curry and Chandler are basketball equevalent of Bears wide receivers: big and athletic but very stupid and fundamentally weak.

From what I hear the guy was no angel, to be sure. But it doesn't preclude me from hating that cocksucker Sug Knight's fat ass. That talentless b**** is gonna get his- he may act tough, but lead has a way of burning through flesh and he'll find that out sooner rather than later.
-
Yeah, just ask him. He should thank the people who got him Grieve, Mulder, Hudson, Zito, Giambi, Chavez, Tejada instead of deifying himself.. He was right on Foulke, Lidle, Durazo and Justice, tho.

Mia Hamm brings some serious SEXY. Nomar is one lucky bastard. People talk about him being distracted dyring playoffs....Mia IS the trophy.
-
Missy: So Alec, are you gonna work it? Baldwin: Missy, if you're asking if I am going to have sex with the show, then yes. At least Missy is trying to expand her horizons (Dutch? wtf?), which is more than I could say for Lil' Kim.

Hey, Nelly might not be very deep or original, but his brand of clown rap is HILARIOUS. I swear when it first came out, any time I'd hear I'd do this dance, cross between Elain Benes and Harlem Shake, literally laughing myself and my friends dizzy. Strangest thing. Tupac? In my humble opinion the man was a talented rapper (which is not to say he was a seminal one, the two often don't mesh, especially when you're surrounded by hacks and thugs who stifle creativity), but what suprised me is his effortless charisma as an actor; whether he would have the desire and the work ethic to hone his skills and become a true thespian is very questionable/doubtful, but the talent was there. Him and Em share something I can't quite put my finger on, maybe because I wasn't around to see Tupac alive. Jazz? My dad was a White Clifford Huxtable, with a bunch of Davis (brilliant instrumentalist, overrated composer) and Goodman and Parker vinyls. I've brought myself to love the musical form, be entertained and deeply moved by it, but understand it? Out of my league. Not to be trite, but open-mindedness conquers all biases, in music, art and whatever else.

Consdering that Ichiro is one of the fastest men running to 1st of ALL time, I'd say Ichiro is lying. If Matsui's slugging can drop 150 points, what is going to happen to Kazuo?

I am not trying to invalidate anything here (if I were, I'd be committing art's most cardinal sin by rejecting forms of expression and intended meanings just because they don't neatly fit into my comfort zone and life experience), it's kinda like me not *liking* Pollock or Kundinsky but still recognizing and being in awe of their genius. Speaking of which, I have become less critical of Eminem lately, go figure. (still think Ja Rule is terrible, tho)

That Bulls are not a playoff caliber team is painfully obvious. 32-50?
-
Under the protection of US Constitution, among other liberties you're afforded the right do roll anywhere and/or laugh at anything. It doesn't make you less of a moron. With all due respect. Exactly. A-Rod's was more valuable to his team than anybody else to his, so he won it. Team's record should be and sometimes is immaterial. You wanna give Posada Yankee team MVP? Fine. Wanna give Stewart Twin MVP? Of course. Gurdzilanek Cub MVP? Ok........LEAGUE MVP? Should go to the BEST player because his intristic value is the HIGHEST. The league in which Andre Dawson's 1987 "value" is considered inferior to Ozzie Smith's is not the league I want to follow.

Diddling kids is NOT cool. But on the other hand Thriller and Beat It are still so danceable to. What a dilemma.

Didn't Oliver Stone pretty much close the book on JFK?

It's too early to tell how good Adu is going to be. Is he going to have poise and vision to be world caliber forward? He's already got first-step quickness and balance you can't teach, but as far as all that other stuff? Next 2-3 years will tell. I certainly have seen too many phenoms fail miserably.

Speaking of RIB, I loved the way Woody Allen's Manhatten begins... PIT is closer to my late 19th century ballet sensibilities, it's true. Gershwin is not just a foremost American composer; he is a QUINTESSENTIAL American composer. He is everything I loved about 20th century symphonies--- can't get into this whole Shoenberg/Shostakovitch/cacophony modern stuff.

Sox have nothing to worry about. Only Valentin and Olivo are on 'roids if that.
-
Any reason why PI Chaichovsky was not included? Porgy and Bess is cool and all, but it ain't no Swan Lake I'll tell you that right now!
-
Count me as one who admires Beatles and their immense popularity MUCH more than one loves theeir music, a few individual efforts not withstanding. I am sorry, but Paul Mac's "I am not about to ruin my life for a song" is SUCH a quintessential battle cry of the mediocre.....and he was anything but mediocre! I will never let him live this statement down. Ever.

I figure if Freedy gets his mojo back, baby, then roughly: 3.20 ERA goes up 20-30 points just becauser he moves to USCF. 3.50 ERA further goes up due to him not having M's defense behind him anymore 3.70 ERA plus 30 points for hitters knowing him better than 2 years ago. Is 4.00 ERA worth 9 Million? Or even 4-5 for that matter if you're the Sox?

I heard Champaign TOTALLY kicks its Chicago counterpart's ASS academically. And getting laid-wise. Roger Ebert is an alumni.

I wish my Moneyball reference was in piss-yellow to better underscore the sarcasm.
