It's all about reliable time-keeping...

. Bastard! Queen'sRyche? What? See, I wasn't raised on Zeppelin, not even close. But, more importantly, I NEVER listen to rock- or ANY other stations for that matter. I have my CDs, thankyouverymuch, and I NEVER play something to death. I suggest people try it, it does wonders for keeping things fresh. Hell, before I started this thread, I hadn't heard a Zep song in its entirety in probably 2 years-- bear in mind I only heard of them 5 years or so.

Maybe it's because from the start I didn't take FC too seriously as a philosophical treatise/social commentary. I think David Fincher's peculiar style and Ed Norton are the film's chief assets, while other acclaimed aspects of it are a bit on the trite-n-hollow-n-gratuitous side, certainly overrated. Hence the "solid" comment. I realize the film could have been much, much more, but you must remember when and more importantly where it was made. I am just thankful it wasn't a mixed identity RomCom/Brad Pitt vehicle from the very beginning, lol As far as Dr. Strangelove, I do admit to loving the Vera Lynn ending, tho I am surprised Kubrick didn't go with Humperdink's rendition, lol.

For the kind of dough they were hoping to get, you could have yourself a complete set of 'tots later on, after the kid croaks of a broken heart. If Rosie's hypothesis is correct, the kid was a dirty liar before this mess even began.

Don't forget about 'mediocre'. Along with the 'bad', it comprises the overwhelming majority in ANY genre or school of thought. True talent and quality are just that precisely because they're rare-- think of gold or diamonds, etc. Absolutely. That and whatever crap Handel put out.

French and Italian cuisine are among the least popular and acclaimed in the world, you're right. What was PA thinking?

....unless they look like Thandie Newton, in which case they are cool and a huge turn-on.

Dammit, I say Allah and Hashem all the time. In vain.

I heard R-Dub dabbles in rap a little. I can't wait. "My name is R-Dub But playas call me 'Money'..."

I truly believe if Sox were to win the World Sries, Sox fans would still whine about the seat color, traffic, etc. Loyalty is loyalty, and we ain't got much of it, let's face it. Ano, no, 65 Mill is NOT nearly enough to compete with the big guns. Marlins and Angels were flukes.

http://www.rollingstone.com/features/cover...en.asp?pid=2164 Too rock-centric. Contrary to what Rolling Stone believes, music did NOT start with Beattles and end with Radiohead. Rock Steady? Huh? Argh, too many issues, too little time. In short, another incorrect and arbitrary Greatest Albums List.

Another hilarious part of the Don't Fear the Ripper sketch comes as Kris Kattan goes, "You're effin' it up for us, Gene!" and accidentally almost tears the shirt off Will Ferrel, at which point Jimmy Fallon goes into his giggle hysterics, and in the next few minutes both Walken and the normally super-focused Ferrel turn to JF sideways and begin bracking up all the while delivering their own gems of dialogue. Comedy platinum that whole 7-minute thing is. Phil Hartman funny. Steven Colbert funny.

What a sad, simplistic point of view. Where do you get the f***ing balls to reduce and invalidate thoughts, emotions, poetry, musical style and form of expression....in such a sweeping, unapologetic manner? Frankly, I don't even like Emo movement, but even I realize that any genre at its best is pure ART, with unique richness and depth..... whether it's raggae or classical jazz or yoddling or blackboard scratching or whatever. It is you who needs to grow the f*** up, dog. Just say you can't write a poem to save your life and be done with it. Yawn.

I realize that after 9/11 it's especially hard to stomach, but I think I like the aesthetic aspect (cinematography, acting, soundtrack, etc) of the ending more than anything else. Then again, I can find incredible beauty in nuclear explosions-- it's like staring directly into the Devil's eyes, that.

I'll take it further: there is no way BfC would have been completed let alone released if facts weren't sound. That kook has NO case because you CAN'T sue the truth (ie how your ignorant remarks and caricaturish mannerisms come off the screen). Er, you can't sue and WIN. Shouldn't have signed the release forms, pops. Having said that, I don't think BfC is the polemical tour de force it has beeen dubbed. It's just that compared to the rest of the insipid, dumbed-down media coverage we normally get, it may come off as refreshingly sophisticated, piercing, courageous, human, humorous, etc. I have no idea how MM will tackle 9/11 project. I don't think he has the intellectual and creative wherewithall to do such complex issue justice. To say nothing of the obvious partisanship-- Ophuls didn't get his credibility overnight. But who knows.

Buchanan would be an ideal candidate to spar with Zirinovsky, tho. Of course the latter has a tendency to literally b****-slap women reporters, so expect some sweet violence.

What a solid, solid movie. Like Norton (great actor), Meat Loaf and Bonham-Carter especially. The ending to Pixies soundtrack? Perfection.

Michael Moore may be a muck-raking (no, more like smegma-raking) satirist with a dubious grasp on journalistic ethics and just a touch of self-important blowhard'ness.......But don't make a common mistake of underestimating his intelligence or debating ability. And he has balls the size of Texas. Ann Coulter stands no chance in a shouting match. Edited: Bowling for Columbine might not qualify as a documentary in the strictest sense, but then neither does the brilliant Hotel Terminus. Creative editing aside, show me a single instance where MM lied--the bank WAS a lisensed arm dealer just like the Lockheed Factoryt DID manufacture missile components. Heston's visit. Etc. People had the same beef with Roger and Me- as if MM's screwed up chronology changes the fact that chairman Smith is a corporate scumbag among other points the movie made.

Look, am I the only who thinks Colon didn't throw as hard as he did pre-2002 ASB? I swear I haven't seen him reach 100 ONCE on TV. I remember noticing the same thing with Billy Koch 2 years ago, and I was prophetic there.

Yeah, yeah, we all know Sox fans are more insightful, noble and critical. Blablabla. Meanwhile, all Cub fans do is pack the park. If they had a stadium with as much capacity as USCF, had night games and a bunch of half-price s***, they'd get 3.5 Mill a year. Easy. Meanwhile, if Sox had a smaller park with a bunch of day games and no promotions, 1.4 Mill would be a problem. At the end of the day, they will have a high payroll with a chance to get any player they like. We can't even keep Maggs.

Of COURSE she against feminism- I would imagine she hates women even more than she hates men. Fits the profile to a T. She is what Avril Lavine will be in 20 years, sans innate fascism.

Who is that conservative twat kidding! More like the other way around....no pun intended. If anything, Botox Coulterrier looks like a poster child for frigidity. I do like Michael Moore vs AC idea. Very much so.
