TOP FIVE of all time? 3-time MVP, higher career QB rating than anyone except Montana, who I am sure benefitted from having Jerry Rice on his team......
-
. I think me and CW had debated over it back when, trying to tippy-toe around saying the same thing, lolol........BUT What "talent" are you looking for? Ditto. Say, you were to run into JP's secret diary, where he expains with detail and verve what exactly inspired and motivated him and what exactly was encrypted in his "paint spills"........Would that make a slightest difference to you? Cuz I tell you, I smell a wise-ass phillistine.

...ass opposed to PA's Bowie circa Goblin King, all spandex and nutsac.

This organization is ran by cold-blooded dumbasses. Serves them well. Since we were not going to win the WS in 2004 anyway, I hope we average 3K and Jerry goes bankrupt. f***ing bastard.

Yeah....perception, subconscience, nurture and motivation have long been debunked as silly elitist superstition. American people know better.

As was Danny Wright's, Angel Guzman's....Hell, I remember Rauch's was said to be no biggie. Guess who won't have same tantalizing screwball and old velocity/break when he gets back?

Common now, those are Dustin Hoffman movies. Curveball

I was talking about their media or media in general. But your (honest and depressing) point is well taken.

I missed all but one year of Favre's prime, but from what I've seen, he is easily in the top 5 of the greatest," money" QBs of all f***ing time. If Bears stack up against the run and BF is anything close to what he's been throughout his career.....4 TDS.

800,000 machette deaths in less than 10 years? I guess the media is not always a scape-goat and does have some sway over hearts and minds.....

Tally so far: --Twins lose by far their best reliever Hawkins. --Twins lose their best starter Santana. --Twins lose an AS catcher Pirzinski, who gave Sox fits both with his bat and smart game-calling. --Twins are still going to lose Stewart because he wants to play in the big market and will comment crazy dollars. Even if they keep him, provided Sox quickly get out of the gate in 2004, Twins will be forced to dump him at the break. --Twins lose their BEST pitcher in 2002 in Milton, the guy who can dominate when healthy. Since his 2003 injury was not back/shoulder/elbow related, there is no reason he wouldn't have continued to dominate us in 2004. --Twins lose Sox killer Mays to too many injurues. His Sox Killer'ness is not just trivia-- each game against your opponent counts as two. If Jerry doesn't see that this is a truly a pathetic division and doesn't try to do his BEST (I mean every possible option, including going into red ) in the next 3 years, the he should sell the team and not bother since he will not have many fans left beyond that.

Step 1. Do not allow Valentin to bat RH. It's either take your chances lefty-vs-lefty or sit. Step 2. Let Uribe Duke it out with Willie for the right to start at 2B. Urine would be slightly better defensively while Willie is a little faster. The former can't hit righties and the latter- lefities. Step 3. Let Jose and Willie duke it out for the right to start against LHP.

This is simple: If we play in the first half like we played in the second half (against TOUGHER schedule, mind you), we would have been 10-12 games ahead of the (5 games under .500) Twins, and they would have NEVER gone after Stewart, wasting Kielty in the process, because they'd realize it's over. Hell, despite the s***ty and uninspired and selfish ball we played, Sox STILL were 2 games ahead of the Twins as late as middle of SEPTEMBER.
-
Twins were 5 games UNDER at the 2003 ASB. All we had to do is play decent, fundamental baseball (little less overswinging, a little less GIDP with RISP, a little more bunting with a GW run on 2nd and no outs, etc) against the WEAK competition in that span for Minnesota to fall apart and not even go after Stewart....

It was a clear-cut case of sabotage. Reagan admin exposed the "corporate malfeasance-caused accident" as a partisan distortion long time ago. Oh and Chernobyl only released about 5% of the radioctive fuel mass into the atmosphere

Had enough of WSI jizz?

I am almost rooting against the Bears just so stupid arrogant f***s would shut the hell up about Bears being a plauoff team and Jauron knowing what talent is. Almost. I mean, we're talking about the same Chicago Bears who should've started the season 0 and f***ing SIX had Oakland Raiders had any pride and desire to convert their countless chances, esp in the 1st half leading 18-3...... 0-6!!!! !!! Kordel Steward is a BAD QB. Anthony Thomas is a AVERAGE running back. Terrela and White suck. As does offensive line and RWM. Urlacker and Holdman are hugely overrated and Daniels is a bum. Everybody is horrible aganinst the run. Edinger is pathetic. So who is gonna make Bears into a dominant team capable of running the table? Alex Brown? Peanuts? Jerry Azumah? The Great White Hope BF? People don't even remember that Bears barely scored SEVEN points with 10 minutes to go in the 4th Q against the s***ty Cardinals....

I am being the devil's advocate here, understand?

Latroy Hawkins was a 4.50 ERA reliever with two good seasons under his back. Rincon and Belfour have as much chance of being sub-3.00 ERA studs again as Sullivan and Wunsht. Wake up. Minnesota is an 80-win team next year. All we gotta do is play fundamental baseball and come through in the clutch (we haven't done that since 2000), and ewr win the division by 10-12 games.
-
I never wish ill on the Cubs; I want them to lose 120 fair-n-square. Having said that, Kerry Wood will not finish 2004 as won't Matt Clement. Just watch.

If by 'simple' you mean 'short-sighted', then I agree. 100%.
