QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 06:10 PM) I'd rather have Quintana in the rotation than Humber at this point. quintana over floyd too but wont happen obviously. well hopefully atleast the sox will keep danks2 up and get rid of fukudome. but i have a feeling that with what hes owed the rest of this year and the 500k next year , they wont. he just brings nothing -

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 05:50 PM) I hope to god we don't f*** another guy (Quintana) by putting him in the pen for no reason so we have to keep stewart up here then -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 07:36 AM) That would be impressive considering the stadium would be closed and they would need to break in somehow. jeeze, i get the point lol. i knew i had seen on stubhub they played here. my husband said it was in houston so i was like oh well then they must be playing a series there and then here in a week. >ANYWAYS, hopefully floyd finally does good against this terrible team -

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 10:09 PM) I don't remember this point. I remember EJ giving up 6 runs in games like that, not 3. he was decent , he had some starts like that but hed throw a ton of pitches and hawk would get mad. unless im remembering wrong, i dont know.. -

i love how hawk just keeps praising peavy and that it was a gutsy performance yet ripped edwin jackson when he had starts like that -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 10:01 PM) C'mon Ventura. There's ZERO reason not to PR Lillibridge now. but what if went into extras ? then wed have no paulie and no tank. >oh and so when is alexei going to get going, its been hot -
didnt know where else to put this..does anyone where and how much it cost to take off the name and number off an authentic mlb jersey? i have a quentin one and wanted to switch it to ventura or something.thanks
-
he missed some time and came back and then yesterday didnt play because of his back? no thanks, starting to become injury prone

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) The Dodgers are not as good as their record suggests...they've been getting good pitching out of Ted Lilly/Aaron Harang/Chris Capuano...that will not continue at the rate they have been...and now Kemp looks like he may be out another month...I've been watching the Dodgers quite a bit lately...we are a much better team than they are right now. that lineup isnt all that great either. i know kemp is hurt but jerry hairston batting 4th? cmon, i know hes doing good but still. hes been a bench player, that wont last

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 31, 2012 -> 06:09 PM) Yeah, Lou Brock was s***ty with the Cubs and then figured out how to hit and take a walk. Castro has zero plate discipline right now and IMO is a great 2, 5,6,7 hitter on a contending team but not a middle of the order star you build around. agree completely. thats what ive told people; i dont think he can be the best player on your team
-
the cubs having a guest during the 7th inning really needs to end. the guests they get sometimes..i dont know who it was today, he was a chef i guess, he said he didnt know a thing about baseball. they had to just talk about food since he knew nothing lol

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 27, 2012 -> 11:54 AM) Scot Gregor @scotgregor White Sox 3B Brent Morel (back) hoping to start rehab with AAA Charlotte Wednesday hopefully they leave him down there until he can show he at least can hit down there

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 25, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) Tipping is such bulls***. It's just a way for the restaurant to get away with paying their employees a very low hourly wage, and then tax them for the money that is paid to them by the customer's, not the business. With that being said, I obviously tip, because anyone who doesn't is a monster now-a-days, and only because I know the server relies on tips as their earnings for a night. i waitressed from '08-11 or so and i have to agree. we got paid 4.50/hr and almost half was taken out in taxes. we had to give 10% to the busboys, a crap job there because they got paid 41 a day. so usually max, they would get like 20$ on tip. so 61$ to bus? screw that. a lot of people dont realize too that bus boys dont just clean tables. where i worked, they had to cut a ton of fruit, lettuce , get all the stuff need for the salads, clean in the back, even go outside and cut the grass, and thats just to name a few things they had to do. but anyways, point being, with tipping, the owners got away with paying us 4.50/hr and busboys 41$ for an 8 hr shift

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 18, 2011 -> 07:45 AM) Here's what's wrong... Why say it? You have a new job, and have left Chicago. What does it matter two weeks later. If it needed to be said, say it right away. Don't be a little b**** and cry about this ad nasuem. Man up and get over it. He got the money he wanted. He got the "love" he wanted. Going with his analogy, why is he still creaming in his jeans about his ex? sadly its probably never going to end with cowley covering the sox. now cowley has nothing to write about because ozzie is gone so has to keep going back to it
-
i dont see anything wrong with what he said because we dont know who is lying or telling the truth, ozzie or cooper and we'll probably never know
-
QUOTE (SI1020 @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 03:22 PM) You really are good at dissembling, I have to grant you that. yea he failed to point out that cowley twisted it all in a bad way torwards coop and cowley never mentioned any of the other stuff in regards to ozzie. like how they asked ozzie what about the coaches and ozzie said they didnt need extensions, let them sweat
-
i cant believe the guillen's , what pieces of s***. to think i used to defend ozzie

2011 ALDS Tampa Bay Rays vs. Texas Rangers Thread
Melissa1334 replied to Brian's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 12:05 AM) I'm seriously thinking about going to Texas and kidnapping Longoria for a few days so the Rays can get eliminated therefore we can go about the business of hiring Mr. Martinez. Screw the "great baseball story Rays", I couldn't care less. i agree. you dont want them advancing and then the red sox settle the gm situation,as someone mentioned, and then martinez goes to boston or the cubs. hope texas holds on to the lead -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) So Oney about 35 minutes ago tweeted "Managers dont tell players to hit other plays. Player police that themselves" and literally 2 seconds before you posted that, I tweeted to Oney "Tell that to Sean Tracey." and jon garland
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 09:43 PM) Ozzie is all talk, has been for years. If you're ever going to retaliate tonight would have been the perfect time, you literally have nothing to lose. It's very frustrating. im confused. is it on the pitcher or manager? meaning does the manager have to tell u, u saw that? go and retaliate. as a major leaguer/good teammate, shouldnt you already know what you have to do?
