He's good to give the starters breaks. TLR has seen how young players who have never played 162 before wear down at the end of the season. He is giving them breaks early so they will be fresh at the end of the season. This is the reason Mendick went down and Lamb and Garcia are with the team as I said earlier. Garcia can give Mandrigal, TA and Vaughn breaks. Lamb can give Vaughn, Moncada and Abreu breaks while also providing LH at bats.

Very true. Going against Bieber is not a good judge of the hitting though. The did pretty well tonight against a tough pitcher. Scored more than I thought they would.

It's a shame they can only score 3 runs against one of the best pitchers in the game. Their offense has no hope.

I wouldn't say serious surgeries. His shoulder was a bursa resection. Nothing to do with the cuff or structural stability. We get about 85% of UCL reconstructions back to prior level of pitching. Don't get me wrong it's impressive to come back from 2 surgeries but neither would make you think he didn't have a real good chance. The results have been good but I wouldn't give him the money based on his performance history.

Look at all the analytics. Managers make very little difference. Depending on which ones you look at its 5-8 games.

Hence the reason that managers really don't make that much difference in baseball.
