Willie Mays Hayes. Runs like Hayes, plays like Mays.

The concussion issue has changed soccer as well. Most youth leagues have eliminated headers because the concussion incidence in youth soccer was second only to football. This has dramatically reduced the incidence of concussions but has fundamentally changed the game.

The New Front in the Gerrymandering Wars: Democracy vs. Math
Yep. Although you should qualify it also by "where too many people live on top of one another, Democrat, gigantic open areas where one can roam, enjoy life and know all their neighbors, Republican.

I think he will be. He might not play the majority of the snaps but he'll be playing.

I would agree. It's curious that the agency would make their stand with Smith. Maybe they feel this client has the best chance of sitting out the entire preseason and still be ready for the season.

OT: Sale
They said before the game he could go 100 pitches so I was curious as to why he didn't

2019 White Sox Starting Rotation
That's true. But are they really trying to win next year? I think 2020 is more realistic. The only new players next year from the rebuild early in the season will be Kopech and jimenez. They alone will not put this team into contention.

2019 White Sox Starting Rotation
Sorry. You're right. I had it in my mind that he had surgery. He didn't.

2019 White Sox Starting Rotation
This is an honest question for everyone not a critique about your individual post. If tge Sox are keeping Kopech and Jimenez down to save service time, why would they treat Cease any different? Also Dunning will need more time to develop after surgery. It's doubtful he will be in the MLB next year.

OT: Sale
Anyone know why he was taken out of the game after 68 pitches?

2019 White Sox Starting Rotation
Yes, because it's all about velocity. Just ask Covey with his increased velocity this year. They need more than velocity to be effective.

A players who hits 10 HR a year will get criticized by some. I just hope the current players approach don't change him. In the eighth inning last toast the sox had two players on with walks and the next two hitters were swinging for the fences I stead of trying for hits. The "launch angle" wss a massive upper cut and both struck out. I really don't like this approach but it seems to be the norm.

He needs to learn to try something else then. More 4 sealers mixed in, cutters or something.

Exactly. Adjust to what's working.

A ball is not a ball with human umpires. They make mistakes. If it's close, hit the dang ball.

Remember when his new found velocity was his savior and he was on his way to being the staff ace? It's all about adjustments.

The big g question about Jimenez is will posters on this board give the sox organization credit for finally developing a hitter or will the credit go to the Cubs. Thus way posters can still complain that the Sox can't develop position players.

Is he going to be an Adam Eaton where he gets injured doing things like this?

2018 MiLB White Sox news and notes
Ah, that's true although his higher WHIP and lower strikeout totals last year did hurt him.

How is a 12-2 record this year misleading about the way he has pitched?
