I agree. Most teams are using the data more not less. Not that the scouts aren't important, I still think they should have more say than straight computer analysis, but it's important to get data from all perspectives not drown one out.

That's why baseball is such a great game. It's not like football, basketball or hockey where the team can pick who gets the opportunities in the big situations. It's all random based on the batting order. One player or even two can't make a team.

I can understand the not being to automatically switch the season ticket plan as the prices may be different. I can also understand not being able to purchase them on the website as you would need to prove somehow you needed them. It's awful that hey restricted them to only the upper deck though. That's just wrong.

Not necessarily the pass rush but the line. They didn't make any real improvements other than 2 raw draft picks until they picked up Ngakoue. They did not plan on being very good because they didnt allocate all of the resources there. I'm sure they didn't plan on it being that bad but they knew it wasn't going to be good. It isn't a 5 year plan probably 3 with more assets allocated to the dline next year with a high draft pick. Although if Fields isn't the answer it may change.

This is by design. They had so many issues they couldn't fix all in one off season. They added to the linebackers and drafted for the secondary and dline. Anyone who thought the Bears were going to be good this year was fooling themselves. Next year with 2 high first round picks they either take a QB (if and when Fields doesn't pan out) or the best pass rusher.

To be honest, I think this is all created to take the attention away from how bad the team is. More talking about this than the team.
