  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 11:47 AM) Ours still has the flu. That's what they want you to believe!
  2. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 10:48 AM) Slayer the band is quite disturbing. Slayer the White Sox infielder will make the world forget there was a band. Slayer the band will start writing power ballads to pay homage to Beckham's gorgeous swing. Over under on Hawk saying "Good looking young ball player" today is 3. Slayer the band is your new God - show respect.
  3. That's a horrible recap of the original PwInsider article. Kennedy didn't borderline break Orton's collarbone - Orton overreacted and used his stoke with Vince to get Kennedy fired. When you're gonna copy & paste, at least pull the article from the real source. and I'm with the above comment about Flair - the man is 60 f***ing years old! He shouldn't have gotten ONE PUNCH on Orton. Just awful booking. Idiotic.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 06:41 AM) And a big time steroider... No thanks. Oh come on - you say that like it's a bad thing!!

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ May 28, 2009 -> 08:19 AM) I hope it gets done, and I hope it's good. GL and Flash are my all-time favorite Silver Age DC characters, and a sweeping GL story with the Corps, Guardians, OA, etc., would be great. That said, how does a movie aimed at people with 21st century sensibilities keep a straight face while portraying the color yellow as a believable weakness for a superhero with otherwise limitless power? I remember Jon Stewart at one time being looked at for a GL role in something, but I can't remember what. Kind of a funny irony that Jon Stewart would make a good Hal Jordan, but couldn't pull off a John Stewart. The yellow imperfection would make sense if they explained it as they did in Geoff Johns' GL: Rebirth tpb.

QUOTE (knightni @ May 15, 2009 -> 03:24 PM) Outside of the , it doesn't bother me; but why make a "Star Trek" movie if ? You could have easily used "Alpha Quest" or "Space Travelers" and done whatever you wanted. But why get hamstrung by confusing continuity if you don't have to?

QUOTE (knightni @ May 14, 2009 -> 08:01 PM) I went and saw Star Trek tonight. Note: I do not own a book, game, or DVD/VHS collection of the TV series' or any movies; I do not go to conventions or dress up. I do know relations with a woman and I do not dislike JJ Abrams. I have, however, read books, watched movies, watched many tv episodes. I liked it overall, but I didn't really care for I'll let Balta read this after he sees it, so he can agree or disagree with me. I give it a solid 3 stars as a movie, but people who know the series' history will not like it as much as a casual movie-goer. Both the original series and this exist in alternate timelines. Why does this stuff bother you so much?

  11. I'm with the parents. The Freedom of Religion (or lack thereof) should not be abridged. If they want to pray instead of take chemo, that's their choice.

    LOST!!!!

questions: How did the fake-Locke have Locke's memories? How did he know where to meet himself while traveling thru time (the forest scene)? Jacob clearly sees the future, hence the flashbacks. Did he foresee this event at the end or not? What about "They are coming"?

And btw, I saw DRAG ME TO HELL last night - Sam Raimi is back! Lots of frights & creep-outs - I hurt my neck from cringing so much. If you like Evil Dead, you'll love this.

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ May 12, 2009 -> 08:12 PM) Just got done wasting my time with "My Son" starring Angelina Jolie. Man that movie was a mess. What about the costumes? HORRIBLE!!!! It was the only thing that didn't work. Those blue, yellow, red shirts don't work in a more realistic setting. Why do you think they had Kirk in a black shirt for the majority of the film? And Uhura's miniskirt and go-go boots in the future? Are you kidding me? They were that bad, but it didn't detract from the film.
  15. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 12, 2009 -> 12:13 PM) They have no witness and no body. I'm not certain how solid that can ever be. And you have to realize how few murder cases have eyewitnesses - circumstantial evidence IS EVERYTHING. And the circumstantial evidence here is pretty good, never mind that they do have Kathy's body, unlike Stacy's.
  16. I always said I'd jump back on the bandwagon when Dollar Bill died. He did, and now I'm back. Yes, it helps that the team is good, but so what? When you're as bad as the Hawks were for so long, you gotta take all the fans you can get.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 8, 2009 -> 08:39 PM) I have never been a Star Trek fan. I have never seen an entire episode of any Star Trek series. I have never seen a Star Trek movie. J.J. Abrams' Star Trek was beyond enjoyable. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I implore all non-fans of the series to check this out... it's awesome. Those of you who are, I presume you'll be putting the pants you s*** in in the washing machine when you return. What an awesome movie. I loved it too - but my friend that I went with HATED it. I went in very skeptical as well, but it just worked for me. Great casting, great story, great action.
  18. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 8, 2009 -> 08:35 AM) he wont get convicted.. for either death. I know a little about the case... it's pretty solid, that's why they took 18 months before making the arrest.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 7, 2009 -> 07:20 AM) Finally got around to downloading The Room. Plan to watch it on the way to Seattle later this month. Can't wait. come out to LA - we do a midnight screening of it once a month here, Rocky Horror-style. There's no way that movie is as good without an audience.

  22. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 5, 2009 -> 07:45 AM) Two segments last night had me laughing out loud, Santino/Kelly Kelly/Chavo was hysterical, even Santino was having a hard time keeping a straight face(and his accent), and Festus out-singing Jillian was up there as well. Santino is a face now - that's dumb.
