QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 11:19 AM) They didn't come out during the iraq war...the iraq war was in march 03 to april 03 they came out during the occupation of Iraq. And that is looking like it will be around for a while. I guess hollywood can't cover movies with current events for a long time. I guess we should just cover a bunch of stuff that happened in the nineties i guess...because WCsox has put a censor on anything with any relevance to today because america has troops in another country and a movie recognizing that is seditious! the iraq war isn't over.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 01:09 PM) White Sox signed outfielder Mark Quinn to a minor league contract. Quinn, who hit 37 home runs for Kansas City in 2000-01, last played in the majors in 2002. There are suspicions that he was one of the Royals minor leaguers guilty of using steroids in the late-90s. He'll open the season in Double- or Triple-A Anyone else see this? yay, steroids! -

can they take both Logan & Thornton, since it doesn't look like Hermanson will be there? -
What's great about that clip is AJ's responses and the looks on the rest of the team. Awesome.

QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 04:08 PM) I wondered where the WCW senior citizens went. They spent 5 minutes in TNA - Kevin Nash & Scott Hall last year, and Scott Steiner just debuted. But the young guys they have are awesome. The X Division rules!

TNA issued the following press release this morning: OZZIE GUILLEN JOINS TNA WRESTLING FRACAS Smashes Simon Diamond with chair The World Series Champion manager has jumped into pro wrestling – with smashing success. Ozzie Guillen delivered a vicious left-handed homerun with a steel chair to the back of Simon Diamond after the TNA Wrestling hot-shot arrived unexpected and unwanted at the Chicago White Sox spring training facility in Tucson, Ariz. Diamond took batting practice, wearing complete White Sox garb, then confronted White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski and Dale Torborg, the team’s strength and conditioning coach, with several teammates nearby. Guillen came to the defense of his Sox, cracking Diamond with the chair. “Get off my field,” Guillen shouted at Diamond. Full highlights of Guillen’s attack will air Saturday, March 18, on TNA iMPACT! (Spike-TV, 11 p.m. ET). Diamond has had a running feud with Pierzynski and Torborg since last December. Diamond also took exception to TNA Wrestling executives presenting Pierzynski with a championship belt that the White Sox will award to their Player of the Game throughout the 2006 season. “TNA is thrilled to work with the World Series Champion White Sox,” said TNA announcer Mike Tenay. “The no-limit attitude of TNA Wrestling parallels the mindset of the Sox, manager Ozzie Guillen and players like AJ Pierzynski. It’s been a great association to this point and we look forward to working with them throughout the 2006 season.” TNA Wrestling features a host of mat veterans, such as Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Konnan and Team 3D. The TNA roster also boasts the rising stars, such as Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Chris Sabin, among others. TNA Wrestling will move to a Thursday Night primetime slot on Spike TV starting April 13. Photos and video of Guillen’s chair-shot are available from TNA. And the actual chair used by Guillen, since signed by members of the White Sox and TNA Wrestling, soon will be auctioned by the Chicago White Sox to aid White Sox Charities. So it appears that w/o Dustin - our bullpen might have two rookies (Lopez & Logan) and one almost-rookie (McCarthy). does this scare anyone else?

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) The silly part is that of all sports, baseball is probably the one where the better team is least likely to win. Each pool should have at least had a home and home where each team could play six games and get a larger sample size. It might make for some "exciting" baseball down the stretch but could you imagine a single-elimination MLB playoff round? I guess there's the wildcard play-in game but I've always hated that too. reminds me of the College World Series....

How many games will the sox win this year?

175 and -13, due to fluctuations in the space/time continuum. -
QUOTE(Y2HH @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 05:25 AM) AJ will never give the title up to anyone else...if anything, it could mark the demise of the teams "chemistry" that Carl Everett talks about. If AJ was to lose that title belt, I could easily see him turning "heel" and hitting Sox players in the back of the knee with a black baseball bat, then taking the title back and telling them to enjoy their "vacation" from the game. Silly...yes...but entertaining, too. It adds something for the fans and the team to enjoy together...sort of like an inside laugh. That AJ. We should trade him now. He's a cancer. LOL at AJ turning heel. Maybe they'll form a new version of "The Four Horsemen" - and just keep interrupting games until they get a title shot.
-
Now I want to see promos before and during the game by players intent on winning the belt that day! "Let me tell you something, Mean Gene. That Joe Crede may think he's got the belt all sewn up with his 3-run dinger in the 1st, but my at-bat is coming up next inning and I still have something to say about that. Besides, I play better defense. If you smellllllllllllllllllllllll............... what the PABLO is cooking!!!"
