  1. LMAO! This proves it! The powers that be are against the Cubs.
  2. He'll soon be making a guest appearance on Coast to Coast AM.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 05:50 PM) I wish I could have enough class to only say that much about him. Must suck to be a mod at times like this. Sometimes, a few words are all that are necessary.
  4. QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) Actually, those are all of the division winners that I picked with the exception of the Angels in the West. Nice job putting this together That's a fact which puts this analysis' credibility in it's proper perspective.
  5. Pretty lame. She spends the first two paragraphs pointing out all the Cubs difficiencies, then says there is plenty of hope for them. The damn article doesn't even make sense.
  6. I hope he can't play in '06. He's a piece of s*** as far as I'm concerned.
  7. Narron is sending a message here ... to the rest of his team.
  8. Unreal! The Swiss are going to win this game. 40 seconds left with Swiss on a power play.
  9. 3 minutes to go ... Swiss beating Canada 2-0 in men's hockey. A goaltending clinic being put on by the Swiss Goalie.
  10. If your not watching Canada vs. Switzerland in men's hockey, you should be.
  11. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 10:09 AM) Maybe people just really like to see KC That's the way... uh huh ... uh huh ... I like it. Oh wait! You mean the Royals.
  12. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 08:16 AM) ^^^^^^^^^^^^ I worked in Mexico for two years. I was able to go home many nights, but the travel in the interior was tough. I have a lot of empathy for him. Being comfortable in your surroundings is important to anyone. Think about language issues, being homesick, etc. Exactly. All this talk about 'if it affects him we should trade him' is bulls***. These players are people, not machines.
  13. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 02:31 PM) I was about to add this It's YASNY's funniest contribution :headshake Gee thanks, old buddy.
  14. Anybody that is in a comfortable environment with the support of a friend you can depend on being near by is going to perform better. Have a bad day, you have someone to talk to. Have a question on what to do, you talk to someone you trust. It makes it easier to approach and handle issues instead of taking them to work with you. I don't see how this makes Contreras different from anybody else.
  15. Compare the media reaction, or lack of it, on this to the outcry when Limbaugh made his McNabb comments.
  16. My best Old Comiskey memory .... The very first time I went to the ballpark. I walked up the ramp into the lower deck and saw that magical green slice of heaven open up to my very wide eyes. It's a moment I'll never forget and a memory I'll cherish till the day I die. In fact, if your life does really flash before your eyes at death, I hope to be able to hit the pause button when I relive that moment. I would guess this was in 1963 or 64.
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 03:09 PM) 85 innings pitched, 5.27 ERA. Not so much.... He's been in the organization for close to 20 years. I'm sure he's qualified.
  18. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 02:23 AM) Unfortunately, Buehrle was doing an interview on ESPN 1000 at the same time. I think everyone listened to him instead. That explains it. I'd have listened to Mark, too.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 02:13 AM) And sometimes(most of the time) I'm to big of a dumbass to figure that out. LOL. Nah ... you're alright.
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 02:11 AM) Ha, I'm just joking around. I agree with you, this is nothing. As was I. Sometimes, I can't help but be a smartass.
  21. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 02:08 AM) The first time someone gets thrown out stealing you better believe it'll be an issue on here. That doesn't make it a valid issue.
  22. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 06:00 PM) If Redding's stuff comes back I would like to see him be the long man. People have a mixed up idea around here of what a longman really is. They want Mac to do the job thinking it will keep his arm stretched out for starting. However, sometimes the longman doesn't throw for 11-12 games at a time depending on circumstances. I'd rather see Redding be that 4-5 inning longman and Mac more of a guy who might throw the 6th-7-8 in a 5-2 ballgame, not the 11-3 ones I wholehearted agree with the way you want to see BMac used. I also think that is exactly what will be done with him, other than shutting him down before and after any starts he may get.
