Remaining games
Actually, i had the twins winning 4 of those 7. Unless we just go on a total roll against good teams, or the twins choke against bad ones, we got problems. People can say theyre tired of people mentioning the schedules, but these are the facts. The respective schedules are definitely part of the equation.

Hummel probably the PTBNL
If that is the case, things could certainly change. I'd probably add someone like Bullard to the roster. He has always been able to throw innings, and this year since he moved to the pen he didn't throw near as many innings. Just a thought. As you all can tell, I'm not a big fan of sending starters to the fall league unless they missed part of the season early on do to injury and you want to even out their workload with this. It certainly helped Josh Stewart though. I hope that next year, Josh can pick up where he left off before the injury. I'd hate to see him backslide because of this. He was fairly impressive in Chicago.

Congrats to Elcaballo on 92 RBI's
First off, I AM the world's biggest Carlos Lee fan. Secondly, Carlos truly does deserve his props for what he's done this season. He's been leading the team in many major offensive categories!!! third of all........ :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke How can you not give Carlos his props at this point? He's been very solid, in all aspects, this season.

Zambrono Gets Screwed out of a NoNo
In general, I am constontly amazed by just how excellent the MLB umpires are. Their accuracy rate on bang-bang plays is fabulous. Sure, you get an occasional stinker in there, but hey, they are human. For the most part.... Here's to the umps.

Great homestand
Right now, I'm worried about the Yankees. I'll start worrying about Detroit on Friday.

Do we believe in miracles?
You keep it going, buddy. I like the results so far.

Rotation changed.....
I don't know what Mark's pitch count was for that game, but I'd guess that 17 pitch at bat by Palmeiro contributed to Mark only going 6 innings.

superfans ... we all know this guy
HSC, and others that know Get Up Guy .... you should try and talk him into getting back in action at any Sox playoff games. Maybe he'll unretire, so to speak.

Yankee series pitching matchups
Those are 3 games of great pitching matchups. Very possibly a playoff preview as well. Ok, folks, this is what it's all about. Great pitchers in big games, late in the season. It should be interesting. Go Get 'Em Sox!

Good homestand!
Yes, this series against the Yanks will be big. But then, so will every other we have to play. Let's take 2 outta 3 from the Bombers, and move on.

Remaining games
Looking at the Twins remaining schedule, they have 7 games against the Sox. Those, my friends, are the only games they have against anyone that can even remotely be considered as contenders. They have 18 games remaining against teams that would be playing spoiler ( TX, ANA, CLE). And 7 games with the Tigers, who are only playing dead. What it boils down to is, that we are the only team that we can count on to slap some L's on the Twinkies. If we can't take 5 out of 7 against them, it's going to be a real struggle to hold them off.

What just happened
Rating this thread...... It sucks. Joking, of course.

Road trip to home games
I'm thinking about driving up to see the Sox during the next home stand. I'm looking at coming up for the game against Cleveland on Sunday, the 7th. Then, at least staying for the Twins on Monday. May stay thru Tuesday's game, also. Does anyone have any tickets for good seats that will be unused and you'd be willing to sell me? Are there any extracurricular activities going on or planned at or around the games on these dates? I'd love to hook up with as many of you as possible while I'm there. Hope to see you at the Cell. Oh ya .... one other thing ..... :fthecubs

Hummel probably the PTBNL
To be honest, he might have said "pitchers". I don't remember.
-
Sullivan looks like a winner
I believe he showed that with AnaHiem as well.

Hummel probably the PTBNL
On the subject of September call ups, I read where JM said they'd probably call up a pitcher and a catcher. As far as other position players, he said that he is having trouble getting Harris and Rowand at bats now, so he doesn't see the need for others.
-
Hummel probably the PTBNL
No bets. I don't think he'll get it either.
-
Bruce Levine
He better. We are going to need it.
-
Congrats to Elcaballo on 92 RBI's
Carlos seemed to pick up his game a notch when this team needed it most. Around late May or so, he just seemed to start being more aggresive in all aspects of his game. Hustling for the extra base, diving catches, that sort of thing.

Crede is a god, small g
Joe Crede is one of those type of players that you just have to keep putting him out there every day. You know he's got the talent. It just takes time and some patience.

Sick of hearing about our schedule
I look at our schedule as an advantage, of sorts. If we, while playing all these good teams, play well enough to win the division, then we should have plenty of confidence heading into the post season.
-
Hummel probably the PTBNL
I'd like to see Aaron Miles get a September call up. He's earned it.
-
Congrats Cottsy
They should be coming back into style at anytime, now.
-
Mark Mulder
That's what I've been hoping for. First, I want the Yankees. Second, I want to dodge Seattle if at all possible.
-
playoff dates 2.0
That's what is known as wishful thinking, Mathew.
