Without Carlos Lee, this team would have been in the crapper a long time ago. And Garland is holding his own as a number 4 starter. No complaints about him, at this point in his careeer.

I actually saw where someone mentioned this clause on the board a few nights ago. That was the first I had heard of it, or remember hearing of it. That article does confirm it, though.

Hind sight is 20-20. If Cotts could have gotten through the sixth, he would have had a quality start if I remember things correctly. That would have bolstered him up a bit also. Also, with Colon's lousy outing, JM probably needed as much from Cotts as he could get, to save the bullpen. There are always other things the manager has to take into consideration besides what appears on the surface of an issue. Just a couple of thoughts thrown your way, not critcism.

I am aware that you don't care for Konerko, and you are entitled (and somewhat justified) to that opinion. I happen to disagree, but that's what being a baseball fan is all about.

After that horrendous road trip, most of their August number's are going to be down, considering the whole damn team was scorching hot in July. Selecting PK out of that is a little flawed.

He's not the same pathetic hitter now that he was in the first half. Those GIDP's won't ever come off the books, but he has been productive since the break. That's why he needs to be in the line up.

That's why baseball is such a great sport. You never know what you'll see when you start watching a game. Everytime you think you've seen it all, the game proves you wrong.

The LLWS is awesome to watch. I remember Sean Burroughs kicking some serious ass a few years ago.
