I stopped reading after "2. Tigers". The fact he picked us makes me nervous since he has Detroit 2nd. Detroit has about a 0.0013% chance of finishing higher than 4th this year.

Yeah Winthrop and Murray State both have recently scared big name teams in the 1st round, I expect the same from them this year. I know nothing about Penn or Belmont, and will therefore assume both suck because it takes a lot for me to know nothing about your team.

Wish I could have seen that Winthrop game. That team has dominated all season, including a win at Marquette (a 20 win big dance team from the Big East). NIU played them on the road in the brackbuster, and lost by 1 point in double OT due to one of the great chokes ever, although it was a great game. Winthrop's only issue this year had been that Costal Carolina team they played today, who had dominated them twice this year. I was surprised to see Winthrop found a way to win today, but it's cool. They could be one of those #12 or #13 seeds that scares the s*** outta somebody in the first round (which they did last year to Gonzaga IIRC).

NIU wins at Western Michigan today to win the MAC West outright and earn a bye and #2 seed in the MAC Tourney. Man is the state of Illinois having a hell of a year in college hoops. The Illini are in, either SIU and Bradley should both be in, Loyola had their best season in ages, making the semi's in the Horizon league, and NIU is having their best season in ages. In fact, I think some new NIT rule means we are just about automatically in there if we don't win in Cleveland since we won the division of our league. Hopefully we win the tourney and just get in anyways though, 4 Illinois teams in the dance would be great to see. Oh yeah, I didn't see a second of the Illini game, but they won at MSU and scored a lot of points, so I'm going to assume they played a hell of a game. Even though Illinois blew multiple chances to win the the league, 25-5 is damn good and a #2 or #3 seed in the dance is also damn good. Let's see what happens in Indianapolis first though.

Seeing Bradley and SIU, two Illinois teams playing the championship of the #1 mid major on CBS tomorrow should be great. As for the MVC, I honestly think they will get 5. Bradley and SIU are in because of this weekend (1 as the auto bid of course), Wichita State and Missouri State are in because of the MVC season, and UNI is in because of their solid record combined with 3 VERY good OOC wins (AT LSU, Iowa, Bucknell). If the MVC doesn't get 5, it's a crime. Sorry Creighton, but your out.

Bradley appears to have a case of a bad in game coach. They have the most talent of any MVC team I've watched, and I'm not even sure it's all that close. They picked a hell of a time to get hot though.

20 points on 7/13 shooting tonight for Tim Thomas in his Suns debut. Good thing we got rid of that useless bum, who wants a 6'10 player who can score on a team full of too small players? He doesn't play hard enough damnit! Yeah I'm sure everybody will run to Pax and Skiles defense here, but you know Ben Gordon doesn't play defense either, and we let him stay around. And he's not 6'10 either.

Of Illini recruiting interest tonight..... Eric Gordon scored 45 points in almost single handedly leading his team to a 59-57 victory and a sectional championship (although regionals are after sectionals in Indiana mind you). Mike Tisdale had 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks as his team won it's Class A Sectional Championship game 45-41. They advance to the Super Sectionals (Sweet 16) next Tuesday, and will have a touch matchup against Macomb at WIU. Bill Cole and Brian Carlwell's teams both won low scoring Regional Championship games, no numbers available on either of them though as of now.

Ehh I don't care much about this one, I just want SIU and Bradley to meet in a very close title game Sunday so both make the dance.

UIC was eliminated today, while Loyola advanced to the semi's to take on UWM at UWM, same situation as last year.
