QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Mar 2, 2006 -> 02:05 AM) I have seen plenty of him and he seems pretty damn underated. He scored 33 on tuesday while dunking four or five times and knocking down some treys. I like his dribbles, he is fast, and not a bad penetrater for his size. He seems a little lazy defensively at times but i think that can be improved upon... think he just goes too hard offensively at this I enjoy watching him play... just hope he is awful on friday. Richards 51 Reavis 48 Yelder with 17. Sounds like it was a great game.

Your Final 4
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 03:29 PM) They really are almost a clone of the Illini. Both are two of the best defensive teams in the country. Illini are a little more athletic and more fast break oriented. While Iowa tends to run slower paced offensive sets. Iowa has a better scorer down low though in Brunner but at the same time Illini have a few more offensive weapons. Very very similar teams though. They are similar except Iowa has more consistent players (aka veterans) but Illinois is WAY WAY WAY more athletic. Overall, I see them both as similar tourney threats. Both could lose in the first round, and both could get a favorable bracket and make (as well as wreak havoc) in the 2nd weekend of the dance.

Bradley sends a message with a uber huge, giant, mega, enormous, (you get the idea) 54-47 victory over Creighton. Wichita State and Bradley are semi #1 tomorrow.

Royals bracing for Greinke's prolonged absence
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 11:28 AM) There is speculation on the Royals MLB board that the kid may have bi-polar disorder or some type of depression problems unrelated to baseball. If that is the case, he needs to get better and not worry about baseball. I've got a family member who was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and it can truly wreck a person's (or an entire family) life. Same here, and to be honest as soon as I heard this story that was what came to my mind. I hope the kid comes back better than ever someday after getting himself better.

Recruiting Thread
Fears best attributes are his length and athletic ability, which allow him to play either guard spot, and he's a very smooth passer who unlike many guards these days finds the man in the post and gets him the ball in position to score.

Cal, who would have been in great shape to be the #4 PAC 10 team to make the tourney, blows a lead and suffers a crushing home loss to UCLA in Overtime.

Syracuse got destroyed by DePaul, but they are still only 1 win away from 20 for the season, and that, along with them being Syracuse and from the Big East, means I still like their chances unless they lose to Villanova (which they will) and in the 1st round of the Big East Tourney, although I guess that could happen depending on matchups. Arizona won tonight a close one at home over Wazzou. They are 18-10 (11-6), which doesn't seem all that wonderful in the weak ass PAC 10, but they have a very good RPI due to their OOC schedule, so they are in great shape IMO. UAB has defeated Memphis to move to 21-5 (11-2), which I would think means they can just about make their reservations for Mid March.

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 2, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) Depaul destroying Syracuse on ESPN, I LOVE it. Syracuse has 19 wins, but doesn't deserve to be in the tourney talk. They build up their win totals every year by beating a cupcake schedule, and their best win this year is against West Virginia, who isn't exactly tearing it up lately. 108-69 final, wow. Syracuse is toast in their finale vs. Villanova, but if they win their Big East Tourney opener, I think they get in. They still are Syracuse and that would get them to 20 wins.

Your Final 4
Boston College needs the right bracket. They are a very good team, but an athletic team that can run will give them some major issues.

QUOTE(Spiff @ Mar 2, 2006 -> 04:08 AM) OMG rushing the court OMG WHAT IDIOTSsoxtalk holier-than-thou> f*** duke Some people rip on rushing the court too much, but there are 2 senarios where rushing the court is not acceptable: 1. When you beat a ranked team, but your also ranked and within 10 slots of the team you beat. 2. Beating an unranked team. Court rushing used to be cool since it was a rare and raw release of emotion by the fans, but not it's just done too much. Also, if you rush the floor before the clock runs out, you deserve all the s*** you can get.

I think a deal will get done now. They wouldn't delay it for 3 days like that unless something is pretty close.

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 10:53 PM) Half of his foot was over the line... was bulls***... then again if reavis boxed out on the free throw it would not have come down to it. The final seven minutes ( last two of the fourth and over time) were just fun as f***ing hell. Cannot wait until friday when yelder dunks all over reavis... That sucks man, sorry. Your right though, Yelder is obnoxious, I'm not sure how the hell NIU managed to steal him but I can't wait to see him in DeKalb next winter.

A&M is a 100 percent lock to get in if they can win at s***ty TT, that would put them at 20-7 (10-6) and no way they are kept out then, even if they lose the first game of the Big 12 Tourney. FSU has a win over #1 Duke, was robbed of a win at #1 Duke, and is also a 100 percent lock if they win at Miami to finish 19-9 (9-7). At least one of them is in, i'd be very surprised if both aren't. Kentucky is also a lock now, 19-10 (9-6) very good RPI, and they are Kentucky.

And tonight shows why Northwestern will forever suck at athletics. Unbelieveably pathetic, although if you lose at home to PSU, you don't deserve anything anyways. We will get our ass kicked at MSU now I bet anyways.

Who are you picking to win it all?
QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 04:42 PM) Quick question for the board... why are so many people so sure there wont be a Big 10 rep in the final four this year? Because the only team in the league that is really good is Ohio State, and if you can throw big bodies at Dials and defend the perimeter, they all of a sudden aren't quite all that potent either.

U.S. Training Camp Roster Released
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) I must agree though, being first in the league in 3 point percentage is pretty bad. It's only 168 attempts, too small a sample size.

Jeremy Fears?
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 12:41 PM) Which is apparently us. We've now officially got way too many guards, but he wouldn't play til 07-08. Fears is about 6'4 and 200 pounds, has long arms and can get in the passing lanes, can legitimately play either guard position, he'd be a very nice add for you guys.

U.S. Training Camp Roster Released
Those Euro forwards would drop 50 on Morrison no problem with his sorry ass defense and lack of athletic ability. No thanks, although I'd like to see J.J. and Oden get a shot, Oden is just that dominant and J.J. is just that deadly shooting.
