  1. QUOTE(shoota @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 06:22 PM) I'm glad the Sox were finally able to win 9 straight after not being able to get past 8 consecutive wins the past two years, but should it count? 8 of the 9 wins came against the inferior National League, which isn't even in the same league as the Sox--literally. it is going to count, we beat cinncinati (2 in their division) houston (world series runners-up and 3rd in division) and the cardinals who some favor to win it all (1 in their division) it better f****** count
  2. good the more people the higher the payroll, maybe soon we will be near or at the top great graph
  3. tghey will lose eventually, and when they do we will be waitng 9 iun a row
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) Mariotti comes off as such a whiny pussy in these articles. I guarantee he's going to try and bring up every little thing he can in order to bash the Sox. he already has tried to bash the sox in every possible way. He didnt believe in them until the last out of the world series, then he jumped on the bandwagon for two days, and went back to bashing the sox on bad offseason moves what a joke he is
  5. i was at the game today and the crowd was awesome. It felt like last october in there and we are really starting to click
  6. thornton shut down the astros today and was throwing the heat. I noticed he started to pitch inside which is what he has to do when you throw that nice. nice job today thornton
  7. joe crede is not moving, even though he missed two easy liners, he is going to be a fan favorite adn all star 3rd base for a whiloe
  8. Chad gave up a grand slam with one pitch to joe crede, does anyone remember the last time he faced the sox??? last year in the WS he gave up the pauly homer on one pitch. I noticed that today during the game and i bet thats the first time thats ever happened- given up two grand slams on first pitches to the same team we own him
  9. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 06:33 AM) I can't figure how the Mets are the best team in the NL right now. They are easily the best team in the NL East but thats about it. How on earth do they rank above the Sox? Id like to see what the Sox do to them head to head. Both notions are utterly laughable. in the offseason i believe the mets would be the best NL team. Granted they havent played anyone good (that NL east is a AAA division) but i believe they are the real deal
  10. yeah if hermy comes back even close to what he did last year, that would bolster our already solid bullpen
  11. personally i would take jose vallentine over anyone, he would hit .200 and would field like my 7 year old sister, but damn those walk off's were fun

    Jenks

does it really matter?? jenks is kicking ass and the rest of the closers will fall off numbers wise with the linesups their facing (yankees, red sox, toronto)
  13. that a boy pods, tomorrow night you'll be batting cleanup
  14. well freddy is a power pitcher and needs to throw fast to get guys out, mark can hit his spots and throw some slow stuff its like shingo compared to jenks, they are (were) both great at what they did
  15. i love how our rookies are sticking up for the team with tracey and those comments adn anderson kicking the s*** out of mabry
  16. my favorite was the 33-11 stat. Everyone was saying this was a preview of the world series- wouldnt that be wonderful
  17. ozzie is the man, and he will stay in chicago. If he leaves, the rest of the white sox fans will leave with him
  18. Mariotti job is to bash Chicago sports and he's extremely good at it. He just stepped on the wrong foot this time and he's goign to regret it deeply once ozzie shows up at his doorstep
  19. what are the numbers next to the picks to click? thanks
  20. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) What do you guys think of the Braves? They're currently in last place. Should they pack it in and re-tool? No, they have won the NL east for like the last 16 years, and packing it up would be a terrible way to end that incredible streak. They have to play for dignity and go done swinging
  21. yeah i agree, they are the real deal considering its late june and they are still in first place- give them some more ptiching and they are good to go
  22. im extremely impressed wiht brian tongit, way to go
