He still has a lot more untapped potential. He just has so much going on at the plate that's its going to take longer to develop than most other hitters. He also has more upside than the vast majority of hitters.

I'd say his ceiling is 35-40 homers and a .400 obp. He has an extremely good eye. His hit tool isn't great though.

If there's one thing I've noticed, evaluation of a minor league catcher's defense is usually really bad. People simply don't know enough about what they're seeing to make a proper evaluation. Catcher is a very nuanced position. Collins might not be a future star, but to say he's a barely above DFA level is fucking absurd.

Collins has a lot less pressure and lower expectations. Yoan was really in the spotlight. I think people realize that Collins is a work in progress.
