  1. we put a man on the mune...
  2. The good news is this team is a Kyle Teel and Braden Montgomery and 2 SP and a reliever from being legit. The bad news is this team is a Kyle Teel, Braden Montgomery, 2 SP and a reliever short of being legit.
  3. God it's always a fucking scrub up this series when it's high leverage.
  4. We needed to score in the 1st, damnit.
  5. Imagine how pissed Mariners are as a team with playoff and even WS aspirations. We were expected to win 65 games or so.
  6. What was the Japanese saying, there are no mysterious wins but there are plenty of mysterious losses? Yea.
  7. Kelenic thanks for a decent few weeks but your time is coming to an end soon.
  8. I told someone here Sam would be better off diving feet first on plays like that in the OF and as he got more experience he would. He laughed at that idea. Huh. I know ball bro.
  9. We don't even bother to hold guys on do we?
  10. unreal. I hate the bottom of this fucking order.
  11. Work kicking my ass today but seems like mariners are trying to piss this one away early.
  12. One of the worst fanbases. You have this odd horrible mix of diehards that have never seen a WS (lol) that want to use the team as their emotional barometer and then bandwagon fans from last year that just want to get a picture with the Moose and a crab boat.
  13. Brook reported that Will said x rays negative, Vargas was scheduled for an off day today anyways and he's probably available to PH. I'd probably just let him rest up. We did enough to prevent the sweep this isn't a game we need to go all out to win imo.
  14. I'd imagine his hand swelled up pretty good over night. I think if it was something requiring a DL stint he wouldn't have played defense in the bottom of the 9th. It sounded gross AF in the stadium. Did it hit him right on the inside of the wrist and back of hand? On a side note I'm so god damn sick and tired of these "june gloom" days in the PNW. Rule of them every may and june is if the sun is out it's 72 and nice. If it's not out it's 58-62 and depressing. We're stuck in the latter. Last night it was 63 and fine at first pitch and then was 55 and a damp chill by final pitch. Chicago weather hasn't looked much better. Slow start to spring and summer.
  15. We also don't need to swing for the fences here. We have a very solid IF already. Would you rather a 80% chance at a 4 WAR player with a 15% chance of a bust or a 25% chance at a 6 WAR player with a 35% chance of a bust, to give a hypothetical.
  16. One of my biggest pet peavs in managing is not letting the closer get the clean inning. And I know it bothers closers too as it's outside their routine. Munoz has been poor but if the closer is the closer you let him do his thing, not "piggy back" off another reliever, like apparently the Ms are trying.
  17. It seems like the host hasn't updated on all the DNS servers. Been awhile since I had to admin a website that's my best guess. try a public DNS like 4.2.2.1 or similar just google how to set it, AI is really good for IT answers.
  18. Someone on Lookout Landing said "well you have to try and keep him stretched out". JFC. That is some White Sox style logic. No, you have to try and put the team in the best position to win. This half assed demotion for Castillo helped lose them one last night. Oh well, we'll take not being the dumbest guy in the room on a nightly basis.
  19. The fans were so disgusted after the 2nd one squibbed by. I personally enjoyed it as seeing Naylor's 1000 career OPS against the Sox every time he batted was annoying.
  20. Man that's a bad look for Dan Wilson. You let Castillo put the first two guys on, get to 50 pitches, then you bring in the "closer": in a game and series you expect to win on the way to the playoffs you totally let fan sentiment and your own feel good BS blow a game. Robin vibes 100%.
  21. Nothing beats it. I love biking but I also really hate biking up hills here. Thanks to my dad for making me athletic as a kid so I could ride scooters in traffic as much as I do at 40 something. Also, respect to Chicago folks. You get being urban. Seattle often does it wrong.
  22. good lord the Mariners blog has devolved into people talking about their mental health and the most upvoted reply in the post game is telling someone to take a step back. If you want to know why late aughts style blogging about baseball never really stood the test of time that's exhibit A. It's a game man. At the end of the day as a fan if your life is that tied up in a game you need to get a grip.
  23. They needed to put Kay out of his misery in the 1st. Instead, and we all know this feeling, they let him off the hook, he found some confidence and the rest is history. I'd be furious as a mariners fan.
  24. Will is the first manager since prime Ozzie that understands how to finesse the team and media. Thank god.
  25. I think the thing to do is just wait until super 2 passes in two weeks or so and then you call up Montgomery and Gonzo, DFA Kelenic, option Acuna, and then Montgomery is emergency CF and Gonzo is backup SS. It will suck to call up Gonzo and have him not get many PA but f*** it if we keep on this pace we need all hands on deck for a playoff run, development will come 2nd for guys like that.
