I try and not be a bitter old man but do we really need women commenting on every single damn men's sport?

Misio is stupid talented but also still young and if you make him work he will get wild and tire himself out in 3-4 innings. Just be patient and try and work some counts.

The problem wasn't that nobody was willing to give up anything it's that he was probably worth like a A ball lotto ticket, which is fine, and Getz tried to trade for some guy that MLB had already really decided was no longer a prospect -- I'd imagine because they thought they had something they could fix with him. Just a real longshot that didn't fit with our timeline at all, it's not like Mead even if he turned into the 99th percentile version of his tools is anything more than an average regular at a position we already have filled given the other options over the same time frame.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development

- This Day In Sox History 3/25...
The irony of him actually trying for a needless ball in ST and blowing out his shoulder, when he was consistently lazing about when the games really counted is just too much man.- Official 2026 win prediction thread.
70- Frank Thomas Suing Sox
I was thinking that this morning as well. It's plausible. I wouldn't usually put incompetence down to malice but given this new lawsuit, hey, maybe so.- Site Upgrade - Minor mods still needed
Site feels really nice response wise now, better than prior version. Like the in window updates that will be great for game threads. Not a fan of some of the formatting, at least in 4K on the desktop. That said, it's a mobile world and thanks for all the hard work the admins do.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
Yep. I think you've got basically that boomer crowd (my father for example), then the 2005 folks (so people already 35+) and almost nothing after that iconic player wise or success that moves the needle. You can say MB and Konerko but again those names are long gone now. Who is our most iconic player in the last 5 years? Probably Garrett, and he gawn. Sale was fun but he never won s%*# here either and will forever be known mostly for his time with the other color Sox. Nothing lasts forever, and JR turning the Sox into what he claims is a money losing enterprise is a prophecy self fulfilled largely.- 2026 Spring Training Thread
Elbow holds very little force hitting compared to throwing. Plenty of position players play through substantial elbow pain at every level. That said, based on what that report you relayed says -- not great, Lip.- 2026 Spring Training Thread
Seems zero chance Baldwin doesn't start the season on the 15 day IL, maybe they can back date it a bit. Not much out there on the injury just that he has elbow inflammation. I'd assume it's in his throwing arm or he'd probably be trying to play through it. Bummer. I guess as a position player he could try and play through a partially torn UCL but let's hope it's not that.- White Sox sign Reese McGuire, Korey Lee won't make MLB roster
He has some tools but his hit tool is like 30/35 and that just won't ever play even as a catcher. xwOBA of .257 for his career. He's a mediocre defensive catcher and he'd have to be Pudge back there (the 2nd one) to even hang on as a useful backup.- Free MLB.TV Day (for those who have T-Mobile)
Damn just activated it, took all of 30 seconds. Much smoother than prior years it seems. - Opening Day Roster set
