- New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab
I hate this crap. Soon it will just be like pretty much every non Bulls NBA team and you'll have half a dozen jerseys that all are generic and quickly forgotten. I give the Bulls credit for not ruining their classic brand with these money grabs. The original SS jersey was PERFECT. how about letting it cook?- 4/4 - Sox @ Tigers, 12:10 CDT - Cannon v. Flaherty

The guy had one of the quickest swings in MLB and he completely ruined it. I don't blame the Sox they had nothing to do with whatever the f*** he did to get such a slow bat. But it does go to prove once again how "safe" college hitters that don't have other tools are actually not that safe at all.- 4/4 - Sox @ Tigers, 12:10 CDT - Cannon v. Flaherty

- 4/3 Game
I'm not. At this point I'm just waiting for them to announce he's getting a cortisone shot and is shutting it down for a month to try and get right. Tall athlete with what appears to be a chronic back problem, yikes. I said I was at like 2/10 worry meter the other week, I'm probably at about 5/10 now. There's no reason to be giving a 23 year old a day off this early unless he's either a mental headcase or is physically ailing, neither is any good.- 4/2 game, they going to get the game in?
I mean if they don't cut him, wtf.- 4/2 game, they going to get the game in?
It would be nice if for once in the last decade a Sox GM tells the stupid manager what to do and takes some ownership.- Players Currently In DFA Limbo
or the Tokyo Swallows.- All things LA Dodgers Thread...
- Torpedo Bats
I think the weight reduction is placebo as much as anything and guys just feel they are swinging a quicker bat. I believe I saw that on avg the torpedos are 2 oz lighter than an equivalent traditional bat. Of course there's no free lunch here so if your bat speed isn't up the force equivalent of those couple oz and HR are turning into warning track shots players will go back to what they know.- Torpedo Bats
We had the "torpedo" bats back in the 90s, Easton had one. Was supposed to be a training aid to get the barrel through the zone quicker iirc. This is 90% media hype from the NYC market imo. Maybe the bats are slightly better but we're not talking much advantage imo. Some players will not like how they feel I'd imagine and the fad will stall.- 4/2 game, they going to get the game in?
You're not wrong but anything is better than JR.- 4/2 Game
Well to this point Wolkow hasn't stopped hitting. Easy to root for a guy that just rakes.- 4/2 game, they going to get the game in?
You just gotta flush it.- Schriffen does it again...
- Schriffen does it again...
You can John isn't having any fun and his voice, at least imo, sounds rough in the latter parts of these games. Stone is just going through the motions as well he's not even trying. It's a bad broadcast all around although the new eye candy they brought in at least provides some visual relief.
