  1. This offense is getting worrying. Jose probably won MVP just to completely fall off the cliff we've all been predicting.
  2. wait, an I watching the right game? Lynn is on the mound and Chicago looks like Seattle in January? no, this is a replay, FFS. game isn't even on for 2 more hours, man never try and work and pull up a MLB.tv game apparently it's too much for me.
  3. omg I'm dying. @greg775 better up your game you got competition.
  4. I bet MLB could even sell it prematurely in a few years instead of keeping it in house and using it brand things like NFTs.
  5. Keep it up, I'll gladly eat all the crow.
  6. Dumb 19-23 year old men often turn into better people as they age and mature, go figure.
  7. Eh, stars and scrubs is a formula. We need our stars to start hitting however.
  8. Plus the voodoo doll on the other outfielders he keeps messing with.
  9. I think that there are people on this earth that are a cut above when it comes to drive and determination. When you are a pro athlete, especially a ball player, you're already in that elite pool, then you try and separate yourself. IMO the same drive and emotional capabilities that led Kopech to throwing 100, to TJ, and to sitting out -- have led him back to this point. I respect the fuck out of that man. It makes me emotional. One day you are on top of the work, the next your forearm is dangling from your elbow and your celeb wife is saying I ain't having no more and COVID is there and there you are. You either shrink, you acquiesce to your weak self or you channel that whatever into becoming a fucking stud at your profession and in life. It's inspirational stuff. This mofo didn't just come back from TJ, he came back with his off speed stuff fully developed, he came back with the attitude that the TEAM is first and that's what matters. Fucking eh, this is the stuff life is about.
  10. I think we all forgot how competitive and talented he is. His MLB debut was electric, a goose bumps moment. That electricity we saw was hinted at out of the pen this year and in full force today back as a starter, albeit one on a 60 or so pitch limit. If he stays healthy, he is without a doubt, the ace in the hole for the rotation come summer.
  11. Make it a pen game. Seriously that at least gives them a shot. Let Foster start. Do not fucking let Lopez anywhere near it.
  12. We'll make it 140 after he starts game three of the division, league and WS.
  13. exactly. I think TLR was just saying, "well hopefully we don't fucking need him because he's on an inning limit and we need him in September and October more".
  14. it's literally not but I was feeling charitable towards you after a sweep of the DH so I edited my post. Anyways, last time I hit that show post button for a minute on ya.
  15. Nick impressed me today. He has an ability to square up the ball when he's feeling good. I loved seeing him nice and relaxed in the dugout joking with Yermin (who isn't much taller than Nick, ha) after the sac fly. Sox need him to be a solid starter and on days like today he certainly looks the part. Also, TLR making himself look smart batting him lead off today. He was on everything and was unlucky not to be 4-4 with two doubles.
  16. I don't know if the projections were right or were too pessimistic. Like, if Vaughn and Madrigal are 2 WAR players right now and Yermin is a 3 WAR player and Jose just doesn't completely fall on his ass and Kopech is going to give us 130-140 innings of sub 3.5 ERA and the bullpen can just get out of it's own way (along with the defense) this is a 95 win club. Of course that's quite a few things going right, which projections don't, well, project. But I can! LET'S GO!
  17. been a weird ass start to the year. Atlanta, with all their talent, really scuffling too and Cinci 9-6 with a +24 differential. Important to remember that we are essentially in the 3rd quarter of the 2nd NFL game of the year: after last year I think it's easy to forget 162 is a lot of baseball.
  18. Not even playing that well and yet 8-8 and +18 differential, not bad.
  19. Well luckily in the playoffs anything can happen. Just win 90+ games and see what happens. With this pitching staff, I wouldn't count them out, even against better rosters.
  20. 50% or more of your posts are personal attacks. re-evaluate your self. this is an opinion board. I can state my opinion on Jason and it's an opinion formed by over 15 years playing the game and over 30 watching it.
