It's a fucking disgrace Engel didn't play 100% of the games against LHP this year.

Nice play tim. In the past he would tend to round those off and throw on the run. Good job catching it under the bill and squaring.

If he's gonna call the high strike that's going to help Gio a helluva lot.

Man we have a lot of fan policing here. I got a lot going on in my life man sports are just a small part. I can't really afford to put my emotional eggs in something I have zero control over. That said. GO SOX.

I feel nothing right now. I'm not anxious or excited or worried but I am ready to watch Sox playoff baseball. I think the last two weeks just drained all the emotion out of me with this team. We've seen the best and worst of them. They won't need to be at their best to take this series, but they can't be at their worst that's for sure. Go Sox.

Wasted Money This Year
Mazara precluded them signing an actual good FA RF it was def an either or situation and they chose the wrong option. Sure it's not technically a FA signing but it was tangentially related.

Hey if you want to stretch it this far we can. There's no defending Hahn's record in FA. I'm not a Hahn hater he's done a nice job with the rebuild but FA is a clear weakness.

Ricky is not getting fired and he is winning manager of the year
The team quit having fun because 1) the manager didn't do a good job keeping the clubhouse on an even keel. They rode way too fucking high on their own supply at times this year. And 2) the same manager that let the good times roll wasn't capable of putting the team in the best position to win on a nightly basis. This manifested itself when the team played better clubs and wasn't hitting the leather off the ball every night. I've said it a million times chemistry comes from winning, not the other way around. That said, it's the manager's job to keep the clubhouse grounded and not let the team get too emotionally high or low during a season while putting them in the best position tactically and strategically to win every night: can anybody say Renteria did that this year? Hell no.

Wasted Money This Year
FA continues to be a huge weakness for Hahn. It's a miracle Dallas turned out well. Parrot whatever, took a chance on an established player and in a short shit season he couldn't adjust. That said, the moves in total were less than successful in FA and that's a pretty clear trend. Mazara via trade but you can include him in the pile as he was basically an alternative to signing a real RF, of which the Sox had some decent options.
