That was a very nice high fastball.

Oh, in case you read this first...this is non-spoiler but useful. There is a scene during the credits, then there is another short bit of footage after the credits.

There's 1.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 5, 2012 -> 06:35 PM) Santiago AND Thornton warming for Avila. If Sale isn't ready to go today then he ought to be on the DL.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 5, 2012 -> 11:28 AM) I think you must be currently under the influence. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 5, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) Like you and your boy Walker, drinking that good 'ol Georgia moonshine with Boss Hogg and Sheriff Roscoe P. Coultrane. Did y'all seriously miss me dropping warnings? Come on. -
The Angels have now been shut out during each of Ervin Santana's last 5 starts. First time in MLB History that's happened to a single pitcher

CJ hasn't been healthy the whole 2nd half of the season, but he bit the bullet and kept playing when he should have been on the bench because Rose was more important.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ May 5, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) oh no! Keep in mind, for most of the other seats (i.e. Nevada and Delaware in 2010) I'd be cheering you guys on for doing this, because you're giving us a legit chance to pick up this seat.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ May 5, 2012 -> 10:56 AM) I have no respect for Lugar and have contributed to his ousting. Time for him to go. Well, I can say that I have a couple of Republican college friends who regularly defend both Lugar and their party, and I'm expecting Tuesday evening I'll get to go to them and say "so, tell me again how the Republican party hasn't gone completely nuts" and they'll have zero reply.

At least they'll have a long offseason to rest up. And losing both Noah and Rose will make the "adding the Bulls to the list of 8 seeds that fell to a 1 seed" will make that asterisk less painful.

QUOTE (Jake @ May 5, 2012 -> 10:33 AM) Yes, pissed at himself. He was clearly told to pitch around Cabrera which he did very well until....he threw that fastball down the middle. Down the road when Peavy wants to control his destiny again, his manager is likely to remember that incident and not give him the benefit of the doubt. Jake Peavy is not going to pitch around Miguel Cabrera there. He's going to try to get him out. He woudln't have thrown the fastball period if he was trying to pitch around him. He just missed.

Sorry for the thread cleanup pause there, I'm trying to get ready to see a movie and so I didn't want to sit here and get all that done that second. Consider this a general thread warning that I don't want to have to come back and clean stuff up later today. Will be much less pleasant. Play nice. -
QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ May 5, 2012 -> 10:03 AM) I think Dick Lugar is a pretty good man, and adds a breath of moderation to an ever more extreme Republican party. I probably wouldn't vote for him in the General Election, but in this primary I absolutely would (if I still lived in Indiana.) Much as ideological purity can be attractive, we need people on both sides of the aisle who are willing to bend for the sake of making our government work. Lugar has been one of those men - and on the GOP side, they've been in pretty short supply the last few years. His voting record is extremely conservative, but my admiration for him stems from the fact that he has actually made this country a safer place through his effective work on the Senate Foreign Relations committee. Can't stand any of the dude's major votes, but "Making sure Russian nuclear materials are controlled" is a fairly nice hot button for me.

QUOTE (Rooftop Shots @ May 5, 2012 -> 07:47 AM) is that MLB gameday??? the reason is I am asking is I gre up 6 houses away from Rick Rizzs from the seattle mariners. would like to listen to him one day. he used to do some TV but now is strictly radio For about $20 a year, you can get audio access to every MLB game over the internet.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 5, 2012 -> 05:45 AM) Not trying to beat a dead horse but man Jake was fuming pissed after being taken out last night. Then he shouldn't have left a fastball to Cabrera up and out over the plate. Pissed at himself, I'll bet.

Worth pointing out, everyone here loved the Sale pick at the time because it was an aggressive, high ceiling, hard throwing guy that was taken in a place where he might have to be paid above slot, the opposite of the "Safe" picks from the previous years. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 1, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) Bill Shaikin @BillShaikin Source: #Dodgers sale has closed. McCourt era has ended. The shell company half owned by Frank McCourt will be paid $14 million this year by the Dodgers to lease the parking lots. Apparently, that split corporation also controls the stadium naming rights.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2012 -> 10:43 PM) Can the Bulls still amnesty Boozer after the season? Yes, but it would not make the Bulls far enough under the cap to offer anyone a solid deal, only avoid luxury tax worries.

Sigh. I don't even know why I turned this on.
