  1. Baltimore has really let the Texans off the hook in this half.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 11:50 PM) Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh? The ESPN coverage of that might be worse than the Tebow-thon. 1/2 of that coverage would still be devoted to Tebow.
  3. The Colbert Report Get More: Colbert Report Full Episodes,Political Humor & Satire Blog,Video Archive
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 01:32 PM) The other "Shirley" was the British actor from V for Vendetta, right? He seemed very familiar, for some reason. Hugo Weaving?
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) I paid little attention to the inner squabbles. There sure are some strong feelings by our members though. I liked Ozzie Guillen. I was upset that Jake Peavy didn't perform. But, I never thought Peavy was a quitter. He battled and wanted to win. I think Ozzie did too. The team no doubt was in disaray in 2011. Some people just didn't perform and I think it is now obvious KW and his followers didn't want Ozzie and his followers back and did what they did to isolate the other camp. It sure looks like a battle between two groups developed and a House (Team) divided cannot stand. Change had to happen. But, hope springs eternal in the baseball off season and if 2012 is better we will hopefully forget all this and move on. If we lose and have no sense of direction than I think Tony Larrusa is our next GM. The inner squabbles seem to have been going on for at least 2-3 years and getting worse each year. At least from the point that Oney had to get fired, that's when the public face of it sure became obvious, and it started really seeming to affect the play of the team at that point.
  6. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 11:21 PM) Von Miller, still classy. I can't wait until the next 6 weeks of lectures about how the Broncos show everything great about Christianity.
  7. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 10:50 PM) There are a lot of thin skins in here then.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 10:54 PM) Poor John Elway. Tebow has been absolutely horrendous 4 of the last 5 games, but everyone will remember the playoff win, winning streak, and media coverage. It's really not a hard decision right now. He has a unique skill set back there that wouldn't really have been recognized at all had they not tried him out, and QB's take time to grow. Give him a full offseason and try to put something around him to help him (especially at the WR spot). The best thing that he has going for him is that whether they go 3-13 or 13-3 next year, the Broncos won't fire him. Especially for deciding to give Tebow another year to sell out the ballpark.
  9. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) You would think Cowley dissed Soxtalk with the hatred here for him. You'd think that Marty34 was Cowley with the constant defending of him.
  10. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 09:26 PM) I'm sure that Cowley will be sticking up for Ozzie soon and bashing Peavy. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 10:40 PM) Peavy is 110% talk.
  11. QUOTE (G&T @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 10:40 PM) Verducci Effect? 139 IP in the minors, then jumped to 171 in the majors. A jump of 32 innings is just over the 25 inning limit but not necessarily horrible on its own. If Sale pitches as a starter through June he'll blow past that increase level.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) Wow Balta, I didn't realize you were so anti-Jesus If it makes you feel better about me, I'm more anti-rape than anti-Jesus, so I did grudgingly cheer for the Broncos last week.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) If there is any coach in the NFL that would go for 70, it's Belichek I will not turn this game off until the Patriots backups come in.
  14. The Patriots have declared that the Broncos will lose 1 yard for every time the name "Tebow" was said on ESPN since Monday.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 10:16 PM) The Giants' D is next. These offenses simply cannot be stopped. The Saints didn't even look all that good and they dropped 30+ on the Niners. I think the Niners D pulled a "Lovie" in the last 5 minutes.
  16. Running count: Brady TD completions: 6 Tebow completions: 3
  17. I flipped to the Bulls game to see the end. I missed another Denver 3 and out.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 09:59 PM) Shades of Game 1 of last year's ECF. If this team somehow survives through Tuesday, with the season-opening they've had, they'll be in great shape. I think the Bulls and Lakers will be the only teams to end tonight having played 14 games.
