QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Oct 12, 2011 -> 02:21 PM) Oh yeah, we do this on my softball team all the time. "and the 4th inning is the beer inning."

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 12, 2011 -> 12:10 PM) Cashner is so overrated, IMO. From the sound of it, his shoulder will never allow him to be a starter. Cashner and Marshall strikes me as a very disappointing return for A regular all star.

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 12, 2011 -> 11:52 AM) I could see him trying to trade for Youkilis That's a reasonable match for them since Boston has Gonzalez and Youk doesn't belong at third, but the Cubs aren't exactly starting with a lot of chips to move. I struggle to see how that would happen without Starlin.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 12, 2011 -> 10:54 AM) If Epstein is given the money for that and has a $100mm+ payroll then he'll succeed. Despite his hits on Lester, Pedroia, and Youk...it's not unfair to say that the reason he has rings is the Manroid deal and the fact that the Twins gave up on Ortiz. Theo isn't magic. The thing to watch now is how they fill that 1b spot.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Oct 11, 2011 -> 08:19 PM) Don't they have bunch of cash coming off the books this year? Aramis, Pena, and Fukudome are the big ones. Problem is, their replacements make Beent Morel look raw. And they might well blow all that money on a big name to sell tickets.

I like that you had a geography discussion without me.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2011 -> 03:30 PM) The percentages leveled out a lot more during the day. When it started going around it was up over 80%, but it looks like someone tried to even up the numbers a bit during the day. We call that "torturing Lou Dobbs."

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) Unless they are on Wall Street. Then #occupy. Wait...you agree that the financial industry is an enemy of the u.s. Population and declared war against this country? And should be responded to by any means necessary?! I'm game!

The elevator beeps in this building are disturbingly melodic at 1:00 a.m. when no one is stopping at your floor I have a Dawn session to be at in 7:02. I figure you don't care. But I won't remember typing this.

So wait, the attorney general is now saying that factions in the Iranian government were planning a terrorist attack in the us? Isn't that an act of war?

And I want Francona back. Or anyone else who isn't McCarver.

VMart homers and pulls a muscle on the swing.

I still don't see anyone taking AJs contract or the sox paying half of it. For Konerko...listen, but it needs to be a great return.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Oct 10, 2011 -> 04:20 PM) Are the White Sox taking applications? I need to get in on that job for life stuff. A "tenure track" hitting coach position?

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 10, 2011 -> 10:48 AM) This is why I think KW will be gone after this season, if we end up trading young players who have shown their ability to be winners and we keep others simply because we owe them lots of money. Obviously it is way early, but if that is the way decisions are made this off season I am worried about where this team finishes in '12 and '13 for sure. If Kenny were going as punishment for those deals it would have happened already. Like it or not; we are overly deep with near fa's at several positions and the veterans must be moved. The next level of job security for Kenny is what he gets in those deals (and how the players perform under Ventura.)

QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 9, 2011 -> 09:58 PM) Ah, neato. We should grab a drink at some point this week. Tonight would have been great. Best night for me might be Wednesday, if that doesnt work just say where and when.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 9, 2011 -> 04:57 PM) Where do they stay? Hilton? Hyatt? Doubletree? Also, why are you here? Minneapolis Hilton. The Geological Society of America meeting is at the conference center this week. I'm here through Thursday morning.

QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 9, 2011 -> 07:44 PM) Are you suggesting then if it was Coop, he sucked at it? If it was coops fault that ty never had anyone up in the 6th inning for Humber and peavy in June and July, then yeah...hed get some serious blame. That was the most obvious mistake in the pitching staff all season.

If Porcello goes here, that has to mean Verlander comes back in game 4

Apparently I'm staying in the same hotel as the Minnesota Vikings.

This has not been a well played or well coached inning

Verlanders curve is already unfair.

Cj is in trouble early and is getting the ball up too much.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 8, 2011 -> 04:34 AM) was at the protest again today. started the "BURN IT DOWN'" chant. tea party mr_genius: 1 balta: 0 It's like advocating second amendment solutions to the problem of a socialist Kenyan president! See, ironic!

I wouldn't guess about roster moves base on te bench coach. Can someone give more details on parent's background?
