Crochet hoping to be a starter
Lol that 2011 season was supposed to be competitive. They had just added Rios and spent big on Dunn to try to solve some of their problems from 2010. And even with that, as soon as something iffy happened while trying to stretch him out in 2012, they tried to stick him in the bullpen, and the one who said no is Chris Sale. If he'd gone along with Kenny and the management, they'd have made him a permanent closer in 2012 and he'd never have left that role.

You might have to turn over a table and cut up some jerseys to be allowed to.

Anderson back, Moncada to IL
I'm ok with this. Who knows whether there will be another injury before Moncada comes back.

Hahn Meeting With Media Today
Sure Josh Harrison deserves to be released, but he had a good batting practice today, so let's send down Mendick and leave Moncada unavailable the next 3 days.

The White Sox won their last series against KC...the prior 5 series with them either KC won the series or it was a split. So this is absolutely true in recent history, and all those games with KC are a big part of this supposedly easy schedule. Handle the AL Central like they did Detroit in the last series and the schedule looks easy, but that's literally what the schedule strength translates to.

While the Blue Jays are tough and the Orioles may be tougher than expected, the White Sox are not only playing good offensive baseball right now but they are also getting an absolute ton of hits falling and making it through the infield. Perhaps the Blue Jays pitching deals with us again, but I would not go so far as to say that I would be surprised by any result of this series.

Injuries
We've repeatedly seen this team losing games this year while playing a man short, and obviously needing that help. Hell, last night - it might not have mattered, but pinch hitting for Harrison in the 9th would have been excellent.

Is There a Good Loss?
Kyle Tucker hit a shot that would have been a 2 run home run in the cell (405 feet, xBA= .920), and the White Sox’s last 2 runs only existed because of an exploded bat and an extremely weird bounce off the LF wall.

Kopech Leaves Game with Injury (knee)
(note the post dates). His fastball last night was about 1.5 mph below his season average despite the extra time off, that will be worth watching.

Well Thank God he has no recent record of elbow issues.

And the White Sox got no lucky runs today? From a bat that exploded and a SS giving up a hit while trying not to die?

I will express surprise that we aren’t seeing Leury here.

Can’t. Don’t want to put a guy on the IL for 10 days if he might come back in 7.

They’re seriously going to pitch Lambert, Velasquez, and Kelly all in this game, aren’t they?

That’s legitimately two gift runs this inning.

Lambert should have finished this game but for some reason he can only go 1 now?

I would like to note that being down 3, having no off days coming up, a bullpen about to shrink, having guys in the bullpen who can throw 3 innings, and using them for 1….is silly.
