  1. Brian Bilbray (R-CA) believes you can spot illegal immigrants based on how they're dressed.
  2. Another Running back in the top 10 for the Bills. I'm so glad to know that there's a solid new regime in place.
  3. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:47 PM) a win is a win Step 1: not getting swept. Step 2: win 1 more.
  4. Oil Drilling in the gulf, too safe to regulate, to cheap to meter, to clean to breathe.
  5. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) How is South Park still relevant? Because of things like this.
  6. Some writeup on Harper from BP. This paragraph caught my Eye.
  7. If they would have just included a live chicken in addition to their premiums, they wouldn't have had this problem.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) It's mid April and this board is pretty much a ghost town. There's hardly any conversation going on in the Pale Hose Forum and he happens to be a very good writer that I enjoy reading. Should we only allow people to post who are complete cheerleaders? If so, the board will go days without any activity. Really, this is your definition of a ghost town?
  9. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 11:37 AM) It's too early to make that assumption. The reason why they didn't is because of health issues. No, it's because he still thought he could get a 2 year, $10 million+ deal in January.
  10. LOL, that was the network's choice? I did like the end where they just bleeped the entire "I learned something today" speech.
  11. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 06:57 PM) with that said, he has 16 out of 28 quality starts last year, I think that's more valuable than a very good 8th inning guy So does everyone else in baseball, when you compare those salaries.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 05:39 PM) I still cant believe that this was a guy they called their Ace. Who would you rather have as your ace...Zambrano or a guy with a 100% save percentage in postseason games?
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 05:29 PM) Unless you get kidnapped, shot, stabbed, etc. IF you don't do anything stupid, this won't happen. That includes "trying to hold onto my money if I put myself in a situation where I get mugged"
  14. QUOTE (whitem0nkey @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 05:30 PM) they also made the offense worse every 5th day. Zambrano had one stellar season with the bat. Otherwise, he's still a career .233 hitter/.630 OPS. Although replacing him with the .295 OPS Ted Lilly may still count for something.
  15. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 05:10 PM) Honestly, this is one of the dumbest f***ing moves I have ever seen in my life. My god, I can't believe a major league team would actually do something like this. How do you compare this to what the Phillies did, moving Brett Myers to their closer's spot a couple years ago before dealing for Lidge?
  16. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 04:59 PM) Mark my words. When Jim Hendry is fired at the end of this year, Rick Hahn will be the Cubs new GM. I'd tolerate having Hahn leave just to know that the Cubs had to hire from our org.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 04:50 PM) Awesome. He ought to go insane down there. The interesting thing is that it could actually turn out better for the team if he can keep his head in it. He can go full out now, and not have to worry about throwing 125 pitches. That pen is so awful, he can't do any worse. Plus Lillly can step in and do better as a starter. Is he now the highest paid relief pitcher in baseball? Edit: $18.875 for Zambrano, $15 million for Rivera. I have no other guesses of who to check.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 04:31 PM) Well their manager won't be back in 2011, and I think there's a distinct chance their GM won't be either. We'll probably be stuck with both of ours though still. Does that mean, *shudders*, that the Cubs are actually a step ahead of us? The fact that you actually might think this is true...
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 04:40 PM) As it is even now, I bet they aren't too pleased. They probably won't enjoy trying to defend him publicly either.
  20. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 03:56 PM) I don't doubt the guy is a big dirtbag, and the NFL can suspend whoever they want whenever they feel like it. I just find it funny that Goddell said it was simply based on "allegations", which never led to Big Ben being charged with a crime or even arrested. Since he didn't actually get charged I didn't think it would go this far...but frankly, if that's the actual suspension, based on the content of the police report, I'm going to applaud.
  21. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 03:30 PM) Just cover it in s***...that will show them. They will all be like damn, he got us good...he covered his whole Cub jersey in s*** and such... And then do the dance featured in SHIPPS's sig.
  22. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 01:58 PM) I don't get what the point is though. If they wanted attention to the product all they would have to do is announce the thing and there would be an absolute whirlwind of attention for it. What does this accomplish? Get the early "Man I wish it did this" reaction?
  23. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 01:48 PM) Makes sense. I havent even applied for the trip yet (the application isnt due for a few months for priority deadline) so I dont know if others would want to do a trip beforehand, so Im hoping atleast one other person going on the study abroad trip would want to do the same as me. If you're worried about "Trouble", I wouldn't not go because of that, although I might avoid doing obviously silly things like going to areas that have civil wars. The way around that is to have a plan for it beforehand.
