I don’t blame the EU for this one bit. They’ve really been screwed by AstraZeneca.
-
I do not know what AstraZeneca’s endgame is here, are they trying to make sure the FDA rejects one so that the public keeps confidence in the others? They are requesting to put this into 15 million people with limited testing due to an emergency. Even the “oops I lost a nuclear weapon” forms probably have more leeway.

Jesus. The guy who founded the Texas Roadhouse chain apparently suffered long-COVID symptoms for an unknown length of time and commuted suicide. https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2021/03/22/979929592/texas-roadhouse-founder-kent-taylor-dies-after-struggle-with-post-covid-19-sympt

As Tex said, there was plenty of time to do that planning last year, and as I said - the reason it wasn't done was that there was 0 planning done until January 20. So that's the connecting thread.

I can't even f***ing use an ecoupon at Walgreens because their app is so bad.

The waterboarding is reserved for the person who said he looked good in Schaumburg. Just keep in mind - had they kept Detweiler on that roster they might well have won game 3. They needed literally 1 out and Rodon couldn’t get that in what, 4 tries? He didn’t have to be great, or even good, he just had to get 1 out without giving up 3 runs.

Which is why Tampa Bay hasn’t made the playoffs lately.

One of the interesting things we learned last year was how every state has its own unemployment insurance system and some of them were designed using old versions of software that had last been updated in the 1980s. So when unemployment applications surged past the great recession and stayed there for 52 weeks now (what an accomplishment!), you had New Jersey trying to find people who knew that language. So yeah...that just ain't happenin'.
-
Well, alls I knows is that I'm not usually a fan of waterboarding, but there's someone out there who said "I think Rodon is ready to be called up and sure, I think he'll be fine out of the bullpen".

No state is going to develop something for the whole country, not only would they not spend the money but they're not going to have the authority to collect that information across state lines, and while we're at it...(drumroll)...guess what month it was before the Federal Government appropriated substantial money to support the states in distributing the vaccine even though until January 20th they said it was all the states' job?

A national app would require...(drumroll)...national leadership!

I don't know how to count them, but here's the NYT Article "5th vaccine approved for use in China" https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/16/world/covid-vaccine-china-hamster-ovaries.html.

1. Considering that no one on earth F***ed up their responses to this virus as much as the leaders of the US and UK, vaccinating the hell out of those places as fast as humanly possible to contain the 2 largest outbreaks on Earth is the right strategy for preventing new mutations from developing. While this isn't fair to countries that did a better job of controlling the virus, it's a virus, it doesn't care how fair things are. 2. Considering that the rest of Europe isn't in all that great of shape, vaccinating the rest of Europe soon is quite important for that task too. 3. We are working on the other problem. China has approved 5 vaccines and is shipping many of them around the world. The Russian Sputnik vaccine is being shipped around the world. The US already bought 100 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, and AstraZeneca hasn't even submitted it to the FDA for approval yet, so those doses will probably be paid for by the US and shipped places. We just today are announcing Canada and Mexico are going to get the first 1.5 million of those. The US has already paid for a comparable number of doses of the Novavax vaccine, and that should actually receive an approval soon. The world knows this is an issue and they're working on it.

First round pick in 2021 and in 2022 for the #9 pick.

Ok so serious question - they didn’t do this yesterday, so that means they were under the cap yesterday by the deadline right? So literally this release is related to the 2021 cap? Meaning they are literally spending his money on Dalton? Is that right?

Any immediate reaction? I have about an hour drive after I get mine and that’s the spot I’m a bit nervous about. I could tell my head was a bit off for the first 30 minutes after the first shot.

Which vax? Can you let us know how it goes?

How many options does he have left? He’s on the 40 man and was called up in both 19 and 20, is this year his last minor league option? If that’s right, If they don’t play him this year, his trade value (if he has any) craters because he’d be right on the edge of waivers.

LOL, I was thinking for a while that he'd be a tolerable backup to Allen. Both somewhat mobile, Allen gets hurt for a short time Trubisky can at least keep you in some games.
