    10 days!

Did I say you called me a name? NO. It is you who needs to read and comprehend. I was referring to an incident last week when CubKilla resorted to name calling. Read before you speak. You continue to use the words "all" and "everyone", which I have never done, but that's OK. It's clear that you are going to keep doing so in each reply, so I shall not further waste my time making my point. I think I have done so quite well thus far. I'll let my fellow members decide who they think is right.
  2. That makes 3 of us that are having MLB.com/Real Player issues. Is it safe to assume that both of you have been using the free real player and are not subscribed to the season pass for internet radio offered at MLB.com?

My "generalization" was never that a girl with a tattoo or an addiction to nicotine can't be an upstanding citizen. My point from the outset was that a girl with tattoos often have severe emotional scarring from their past, and therefore have an extremely hard time maintaining a good relationship. And as you said, they have never been abused as far as you know. I suggest you do some investigating, and you might just be surprised at what you'll find out.

First I had someone resort to name calling in a debate, and now I have someone playing the race card. Looks like some people turn to desperate tactics when they run out of options. Why are you comparing people with tattoos to ethnicity? This argument has NOTHING to do with race, and you're smart enough to know that you're pulling that out of your ass. And for the last time, I've never even been with a chick with a tattoo, nor have I ever tried to be. The chances of them being jaded beyond repair are too high for me to take the time to attempt a relationship with them. And also for the last time, I NEVER said the word "all". Thus far, the only one who has is you. Why do you keep trying to put words in my mouth? The fact that you are taking this so personally and in such a defensive manner is making me wonder.

Well, call me a weirdo, but I don't "have fun" with chicks that I cannot see myself having a future with. And usually, chicks with tattoos have been jaded so much in life that they are not capable of having a successful relationship (normally because they have severe trust issues as a result of either physical, verbal, and/or sexual abuse). Why waste my time? I know I'm not alone in feeling this way.

That is a completely absurd statement.

I don't really want to defend Sammy since I'm sure I'll get heat for it, but you cannot blame him because of the Cubs' woes. And you can't tell me that George Bell played an integral role in the Sox' division title. That year (1993), Bell hit .217 with a .243 OBP (wtf?) with 13 HR and 64 RBI. After the trade, George hit 38 HR for the Sox -- Sammy has hit nearly 500 for the Cubs. So, while you would like to say the Sox got the better of that trade, you cannot objectively say that. At least not on the premise that you're using.

LOL...someone's getting mighty defensive. Especially when you consider that I NEVER mentioned you in ANY of my posts in regards to tattoos. All I've said is that in general, chicks with tats and chicks that smoke (usually a chick with tats smokes, and a chick that smokes has tats) should be avoided. And you are incorrect, I've never had a bad experience with a girl like that - I would never be with her in the first place because usually they have more baggage than a sold out jumbo jet. NOT worth it. It's Veggie Tale, not Veggie "Tail", and what does my enjoyment of a wholesome, funny, innovative cartoon have to do with your perceived notion that I'm in some way attacking you personally? Perhaps we would have a wonderful time. Especially if it was at a Sox game and they were winning. However, if I were to make a general statement, and you flip out and assume I'm disrespecting or attacking you, I don't think it would be much fun for either of us.
  9. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...3news&fext=.jsp Things I take from this... - Ginter's for sure starting the season in AAA. I agree with him, though. A pitcher should be allowed 1 bad outing, and it would seem that one bad outing is going to keep him off the 25-man roster - Wright will pitch 2 innings (or 45 pitches, whichever comes first) tomorrow against the Rockies. By the sounds of it, Danny better make a good showing, as he said "We'll do right by him (Dan), but Josh Stewart is coming on like a freight train." Not good news for Danny.

I don't know about that. The Sox have had some pretty no-BS players and managers who I don't think would allow Sammy to pull some of his tactics. People like Terry Bevington, Albert Belle, Bo Jackson, Robin Ventura, Jim Parque, Jose Valentin, and even Frank Thomas would have, I believe, led by example and showed Sammy that he either shapes up or ships out. The Cubs seem to have just thrown their arms in the air and said "OK, Sammy can do what he wants", but I don't think the Sox would have ever let it approach that point. I could be wrong, though.

    Simas

As per usual, Jason is correct. His stats thus far are as follows... 6 IP (6 games), 10 hits, 6 ER, 3 k's, 1 bb, 9.00 ERA Looks like AAA for him. Plus, the Dodgers have Quantrill and Carrara in their pen (both are pretty good), and they have Andy Ashby who likely won't make their rotation, so he too will be in the pen. There really isn't room for him -- especially with those numbers. If they trade Ashby (or if Ashby gets moved into the rotation when either Brown or Dreifort go down again), Simas may have a spot open up for him, provided he's doing well in the minors. I wish him luck, I always liked him.

Go down to any slum bar in southern Chicago. I'm sure you could find plenty there. But, please heed my warning -- use protection.
  13. Is that really true or are you toking tonight? Never thought I'd read that sentance in my life. Well its what the announcers said. 4.72 or 4.76 and that was entering the game. This team could definately put up one of the lower eras in the majors when the season starts. I love our staff, especially if Wright is healthy and its no secret I like our bullpen. In all seriousness and being impartial, this Sox staff has a shot at being in the top 5 in baseball. Maybe not in terms of ERA, because teams like AZ and ATL are in the NL and by nature will have lower ERA's, but factoring in the Sox' presence in the offensive-happy AL, they could be a top-5 rotation -- as Chisoxfn said, if they are healthy. And then we could have THE best bullpen (that's not too far of a stretch, either), to go along with a top 3 offense. The potential of this team is limitless.

Well, IMO, we're 1-1 with the Cubs in terms of trades (at least over the past 10 years). We lost when we gave them Sammy for George Bell, and we won when we got Jon Garland for Matt Karchner.
  15. Is that really true or are you toking tonight? Never thought I'd read that sentance in my life. I know for certain they have the lowest ERA of AL teams in Arizona, but after today's shutout, I think they very well might have the best overall. That's pretty impressive, indeed.
  16. Today's box score... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gam...ameId=230323104 Valentin a good day, another extra basehit for Frank, nice work by Jon to get out of some jams (11 baserunners in 6 innings is a lot), and a nice job once again by David Sanders. He's making a case for himself later this season if he does well in AAA.
  17. Sox win 4-0. Shutouts of the world champs and the Texas Rangers in the past 3 days or so -- not too shabby.
  18. Yeah, I'm the same way. Things that a person sees is generally what gets remembered and is what is fresh on their mind. There's no way Mike will make this team out of ST, but if he goes down and works on his stuff and does well, we could see him later this season if someone struggles or gets injured.
  19. Heh, I'll assume you're being either sarcastic or forgetful. He had the bad game vs. the Cubs, and one either before or after that, but he's had about 2 or 3 pretty good showings since then. He's not doing THAT badly, considering his ERA is "only" in the 7's (probably 6's now) after having 2 rough outings. In ST, numbers can go way up or way down, and especially for guys coming out of the pen sometimes for only 1 inning.
  20. Wow, 6 hits and 4 walks in just 6 innings, yet no runs? Musta pitched well and gotten out of some jams. Do you know how many k's he had?
  21. Choosing HW over the Sox? I suggest you get your priorities straight.
  22. hes out havin fun.. that'd be my guess. LOL. I've been here on this f***ing computer for the past hour and a half trying to get my Real Player to work, but no dice. I can't get access to the game, so I'm gonna have to tap out. Anyone else able to do updates?
  23. Well, I'll be doing updates as soon as I can. I'm at my girlfriend's today, and her Real player is really old, so I'm downloading the most current version so I won't have any issues listening to the game.
  24. Jealousy is a strong emotion, isn't it? Jealousy? No way The Lakers are gonna do s*** this season, its all about the Kings man "We'll see" -- Kobe Go Sox!
