Is it safe to assume that the Royals will pretty much have their regular team playing today? If so, it would be nice if our bench and minor league players could beat em. Through 3 innings, it's 1-0 Sox (I'd do updates, but once again my Real Player is not functioning properly).

It's only a Sac Fly if a run scores. If a flyball advances a runner a base, it's called just that - a runner advanced.

You're cool, you're cocky, you're bad...and you're also correct In 2000, the Sox scored 978 runs, and Durham (#1 hitter) hit .280 and Valentin (#2 hitter) hit .273. I think Jimenez is capable of being a better lead-off hitter than Durham (he strikes out less -- Durham struck out 105 times in 2000), and Valentin is still going to hit 2nd. Also, we had Singleton in CF (.254, 11, 62) -- Aaron IMO can do that if not better. We had Perry at 3rd (.308, 12, 61) -- Crede's HR's and RBI will likely be higher, and his AVG might be as well. Mags hit .315, 32, 126 -- if he continues to improve as he has every year, he could dwarf those numbers in '03 (maybe .330, 40, 140?) Sure, there are a few players that will really have to step up (such as Frank, who had a career year in 2000), and guys like Olivo and Lee will have to perform up to their ability for the Sox to score 1000 runs, but it is something that is definitely possible.

Yep, in 1989 he was on the All-Star team, and he was also on the Pro Bowl (for those who don't know, the NFL's version of the All-Stars), and yes, he homered DEEP off of Rick Ruschell (sp?), a very good pitcher at the time with the Giants. Bo rules.

I went to WrestleMania XII in Anaheim at the Pond, but that was way back in 1996. After that, I "discovered" ECW, and couldn't stand any other fed after that. I went to Heat Wave 2000 at the Grand Olympic Auditorium, and that was the last live show I attended, and probably my last ever. Not because it wasn't fun, because I had a great time -- I just am not into wrestling anymore now that ECW is defunct. lmmfao.... omfg.. you like wrestling and even support it by going to wrestlemania .. but you dont like chicks with tats?????? geez us..........lmao Yes, I went to WrestleMania XII. This weekend is going to be WrestleMania XIX. Do the math (assuming you know Roman numerals). Oh, wait...I'm sorry, I'm being to cryptic for you. I WAS 15. And, once again, I will ask what WrestleMania has to do with girls who have tattoos? I don't see the correlation or relevance. And I said I was bowing out of that discussion. Why do you insist on rehashing it? I, once again and for the last time, am done with the tattoo discussion since, as Chisoxfn (haven't "known" ya long enough to call ya Jason yet ) said, it's off-topic.

Link to full recap... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=230324127 Wright did well. 1 hit and 2 k's in 2 innings.

You're lucky you didn't have to see it. Having your season end on a bunt (an illegal bunt, at that, but oh well) -- doesn't get much worse than that.
-
That would definitely rule. Frank has struggled in the playoffs in his career, though. I think he was 0-9 against Seattle, and against the Blue Jays he hit .200 or lower. Although, he hasn't been the only guys who have struggled when it really matters. Hopefully 2003 will be a 180 turn-around for the White Sox organization.

You ignornat slut, the is the stupidest f***ing piece of s*** thing that any moron idiot has ever posted on these boards, asshole. :fyou WTF? Such rage.

Yes, we do get off-topic sometimes... But I don't like that topic gets moved mid-debate. I bowed out before it got moved because I had spoken my peace and really had nothing else to say on the matter of tattoos and smoking for girls, but some others were still putting in their 2 cents, and it was moved. Once a topic gets moved, it's kind of a hassle to track it down IMO. I just think once a topic gets carried away, you should just let it run its course and then move it. Especially if people are posting on it on a regular basis -- they're obviously still interested in it if they're doing so. Although, I'm new here, so my thoughts don't mean much. All in due time, though.

LOL, nice to see you're trying to stay on topic with your token "Frank is going to be great" comment, LOL, too funny.
-
I haven't been able to track down a box score yet, but I found out that Frank had 2 more hits along with 2 RBI's, and Loaiza gave up 3 runs (2 earned) in 5 innings. Dunno what Wright did, but I would presume he pitched 2 innings (the 6th and 7th), and gave up no runs.

How long til he's expected to be a threat to make the Sox squad? He's what, just going up to AA from A, so I figure maybe we'll be hearing his name in the Spring of 2005?

Is Royce a lefty or a righty?

I think this is what they were talking about when they said that the subject changes mid-thread, LOL, but oh well. And yes, I own "Beyond the Mat", and it's a great documentary. It's sad, but at the same time, gives you a perspective that fans otherwise wouldn't get. Definitely award-worthy.
-
Sometimes the old timers that have been reduced from 1980's super stardom to local indy shows are bitter. But, it's nice when some fans remember that they were once great. It's also sad to see what some of them have become. (see: Jake Roberts)

BTW, the Honkey Tonk Man rules. Definitely nice to see someone appreciating 1980's WWF. lol that came out of nowhere Well, true...but I noticed his avatar a while ago, and laughed, but never said anything about it. The HTM is important stuff.

Chisoxfn, Since you live very near Anaheim Stadium, I'll assume you've been there more than once. Where's a good place to sit? I've been to 2 games there, so I really don't know a whole lot about it. I want to get my Sox/Halos tix ordered soon so I don't have to worry about getting them later. Any input is appreciated.

"a 1 in 2 innings"?
-
Yup, sometimes one 'lil ole comment about tattoos being unacceptable can turn the thread in a whole different direction.
-
Dan Wright did not give up a run. Loaiza gave up 3, and you said Koch gave up 1. We lost 4-2, so by default, Wright had to have given up 0 (assuming he pitched, which he was scheduled to do). We were up 2-0 after the top of the 1st, then got shutout for the rest of the game. The Rockies answered with 3 in the bottom of the 1st, and then added one (off Koch, assuming you are correct) in the 9th.

What I said.... "First I had someone resort to name calling in a debate, and now I have someone playing the race card" If you cannot decipher what I was saying there, that is your problem.

Rather than "praying" for something kinda trivial as baseball (I love the game, but it really is just that, a game), I think you should find time to pray for our brave soilders that are in harm's way in the middle east.
