  1. If he finishes this season short of 100, this team is in bad shape.
  2. Depends on who you ask. I say he's in, but a lot of "experts" talked about Frank and the HOF when he hit #400, and they mostly all said that if he retired right now, he would not be in. They said he needs to get to 500 HR to be a lock. Although, I'm sure 4_ _ would be just fine if he helped lead the Sox to a WS title.

Of course, Sox fans boo. But Yankee fans BOO.
  4. I don't understand why he stopped playing 1B in the first place. Unless I'm imagining things, Frank cooled off a bit, but he was still hitting very well, and PK was doing the same at DH as he was before the move, so why did Frank all of a sudden go back to DH?

Based on what Steff said earlier ("I'm going to go on record here as saying that if you ever come out with us again and get that messed up without a dd.. your f***ing Saturn will be spending the night at Comiskey"), that almost implies that she had the choice of letting her drive home or stop her. If that is innacurate, I apologize to Steff. But, SOMEONE there should have stopped her if she was as s***-faced as it sounds like she was. BTW, the whole "you weren't there so you can't comment on it" idea is ridiculous. We comment on things we weren't present at everyday of our life.

    A web-tervention. Hope we helped.

Well if she doesnt, someone could die. I stand by you in that the next time she does this, you wont let her drive. Thats admirable... But it begs the question...why didn't she stop her from driving the first time? I realize Steff isn't her mommy and that Heather is an adult, but she was (by the sounds of it) very unfit to be driving. As a friend (or hell, even a fellow human being), why not say "You know what, you've had too much to drink", take the keys, and call her a cab. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

It's easier for someone to dismiss 1 post than it is 35. Maybe it's that 35th post that finally sinks in. If it is, then it's worth the time it takes to type all of them out.

Thankfully, no, my life has not been directly affected by a drunk driver, and I'm sorry that yours has. It surprises me that someone whose life has would take the "nobody got hurt, let's forget about it" approach. And I feel that it's our place as HUMAN BEINGS to try to help those with a problem, and get them to seek help and/or do some soul-searching to find out why they would put others at such risk. I don't want anyone here to die, nor do I want them to be the cause of another's death. Call it a sermon if you wish, but if it is a sermon, it's one of humanity and common sense.

Ooohhh...I wonder if you would have the same feeling if your husband were on his way home from picking up the kids at school, and a drunk driver swerved into their lane and killed all 3 of them? That can happen ANYTIME someone gets behind the wheel drunk, and when someone we know makes the decision to drink and drive, it's up to us to make them find the error in their ways so it doesn't happen again, because who knows, it could be one of us (or someone in our family) that she's killing next time when's she's not so "lucky". WHen i drink, and i do, i either take a cab, or walk. I wont put myself in that position............ In that case, .

Killers have such deep-seeded issues that it's hard to tell for certain, but I think the most common human fear (when the s*** gets deep) is the fear of death, so I think it would depend on the individual.

Its time to move on when she realizes teh mistake she made and only then........... Great minds think alike dude... There are only 2 ways she will learn. 1) She kills someone, but then she's in prison, so the lessons she learned are useless, or 2) She is ridiculed and yelled at so much that she realizes just how STUPID her choice was. At this point, all she's concerned about was that her dad asked her if she was OK. That shows me that she has learned nothing.

I'll be sure to not let it happen again, .

Judging by some of the things I'm hearing, I'm willing to bet she hasn't been one for quite some time.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....call a cab like a responsible human being would do? Call a friend? Drive outside the stadium parking lot (since they wouldn't let you sleep there all night) and park in a near-by parking lot somewhere? There are MANY choices that you had, and you made the worst possible one.

And while she's serving 20 to life in prison for 3 or 4 counts 1st degree manslaughter, she can scream all the obcenities she wants while she's being gang raped by a bunch of 200 pound dikes with a broken broom that they've turned into a strap on.
  18. You're right. Earlier in the year, we would have found a way to lose Friday's 3-2 game, and we probably would have rolled over in today's game, scored 1 run, and lost 2-1 or something. But thankfully this isn't earlier in the year.

I'm fine, Steff. Didn't say anything bad. My car seats are just fine. I think steff was hinting for you to stay away from Heather...........and not a bad idea at that. :fyou Heather and Bmr involved in a lover's spat?

Compared to the rest of that crowd, she's a 10.

Compared to NY fans, you're wrong, Sox fans DON'T boo.

Ummmm...it sounds like your dad wants to make sure you are feeling OK. And forgive him if he doesn't want to see his daughter, whom he probably loves very much, kill herself or others because of a STUPID choice.

It's like a babysitter, but I think it's a live-in type thing. They're quite expensive, and they tend to be very attractive. It's like getting a hooker that never leaves, heh.
  24. clujer420 replied to Steff's topic in SLaM
She's got quite the "pair". Pun intended. I need to get myself an aupair.
  25. clujer420 replied to Steff's topic in SLaM
I completely agree. People who drink and drive should be thrown in prison for a very long time so they can sober up and think about how lucky they are to be alive and that they didn't kill anyone (assuming they didn't).
