Kinda old news now, but Herb sustained fatal injuries after being ejected from his minivan. How could he be ejected, you ask? No seat belt.

Call me crazy, but when I read something like "f*** Neal Cotts" or "f*** him", I don't get ANY pictures of sexual fantasies. ESPECIALLY when the "f***ing" involved another dude.
-
A "bastard" child isn't necessarily a child who is fatherless. I'd be considered a "bastard" child, as my parent were not married yet when I was born. It's no big deal.
-
How about a picture of Neal Cotts set to the tune "Walkin' in LA"?
-
Yeah, paying a 40 save guy $5M next year even if he doesn't throw a pitch is really good for the team.

I thought Metallica has turned into a 2nd rate band? This comes from the man who wanted individual kids sued for downloading mp3s and also from the drummer who personally b****ed at the White House when the US military was using St. Anger tunes to crack Iraqi prisoners [i don't blame them...if I had to listen to that garbage 24-7, I'd crack too] Worse than SARS, it's LARS METALLICA HAS BEEN A SECOND RATE BAND EVER SINCE THEY PUKED UP THE LOAD ALBUM BACK IN 1995. THEY REALLY NEED TO CALL IT A CAREER. THEY ARE JUST LIKE AN AGING ATHELETE THAT THINKS HE HAS ONE MORE YEAR LEFT IN HIM WHEN HE SHOULD ALREADY BE IN THE OLD FOLKS HOME. HANG UP YOUR STUFF GUYS, YOU'RE DONE!

How do you scam somebody at an autograph session? The people pay their money, he signs his name, and that's that. What do you mean by "scam"? To my knowledge, he served time for tax evasion.

Dont stop drinking... Got an interview tomorrow. Drinking today is not an option. Ieah, you are right...maybe you can give a beer to the guy that will interview you... hmmm maybe, but tomorrow i think is a video conference interview, so i dont think that will be possible..... .......WHATS that It's what they do when there's a person they're interviewing who they're not very confident about. They figure they likely aren't going to hire them, so they save themselves the time and money and just do the interview from hundreds of miles away.

18-2 -- don't forget about the game against Baltimore where the Sox lost 1-0 when Loaiza was on the hill.

If he clearly bet on baseball, why would Selig cave in and allow him to be back in the game? That makes no sense to me. Also, I was going to bring this up a few days ago (and I apologize if someone already brought it up), but how would you guys feel about having Pete as our manager? Personally, I would love it, and I think he would really give us the push we need. Anyway, this is cool news, and I'm happy they're finally, IMO, doing the right thing. Rock on Pete!

Guys, I've been trying to find out the attendance of Metallica's Los Angeles concert from Saturday night, and I can't find it anywhere. Can someone find it for me and provide a link? Thank you very much in advance.

We could dig up Helen Keller, line her up next to PK, and she would kick his ass in a race.

Heather, Your apology was directed towards the persons at the tailgate, and since I was not there, I may be chiming in where it's not wanted, but I just feel the need to explain to you where I was coming from yesterday. I don't know you from Eve, so it would be easy for me to say "Hey, it's her life, who cares what she does with it", but since there is some sense of "knowingness" that comes from this board, I couldn't do that. IMO, "tough love" is sometimes the best way to get someone to help themselves to get better, and that was my intention yesterday. They weren't personal attacks (how could they be, I don't know you) -- rather, they were attacks on the choices that you made. It is my hope that in some way, my comments (and of course the comments of everyone else here) will lead to you taking the necessary steps at handling this situation. We're all Sox fans here, and we've gotta look out for each other -- because no matter who we are, we at some time need help from others in our lives.

How about one just like that but instead it says "Eat Me"?

Ad Muncher I use this program, and it's very effective. It's $25 for lifetime tech support and updates, and I get a pop-up like twice a week. It's nice.

Without Loaiza, we're 10 games out. This is a no-brainer.
-
How about you just not drink period?

Someone has something they want to keep secret.

7-0 is a bit optimistic. I'd be quite happy with 5-2.

I quote from Rocky, perhaps the greatest movie ever made (and for the money spent to make it, it's certainly the greatest movie ever)... Rocky -- I'll tell ya what the trouble is, ya see, I'm a southpaw. Adrian -- What's a southpaw? Rocky -- Oh, a southpaw means you're left-handed, and a southpaw throws your timing off, see?. Other guys, it throws their timing off, makes them look awkward. Nobody wants to look awkward. You know where "southpaw" came from? Adrian shakes her head Rocky -- No? I'll tell ya. A long time ago, there was this guy maybe a couple hundred years ago, he was fighting, and he uh, he was fighting around, I think it was around Philadelphia, and his arm, he was left-handed, his arm *points to left arm* was facing towards New Jersey, ya see, and that's south. So, naturally, they called him "south paw", ya see? South paw, South Jersey, South Camden...South paw. Know what I mean? ----------------------- Cut and pasted from http://www.anythingleft-handed.co.uk/lefty...y_language.html The term 'Southpaw' is derived from baseball. Parks were often built with the homeplate in the western corner of the field. When a left-handed pitcher was facing the batter, his throwing arm would be the closest to the south, thus the term 'Southpaw' was coined. So, who knows...I like Rocky's explanation better.

Because he's greedy and the Sox "can't afford" a bidding war, or because the Sox won't make a competitive offer?
-
Let's say we make it to the playoffs, beat the Yankees in the 1st round, but lose in the ALCS -- do you still think he's gone?

I'm glad you brought up run support. Here is how much each of those pitchers receive in terms of RS... Roy Halladay = 6.89 RPG (3rd in AL) Pedro Martinez = 5.74 RPG (17th in AL) Jamie Moyer = 5.28 RPG (24th in AL) Mark Mulder = 4.82 RPG (30th in AL) Esteban Loaiza = 4.70 RPG (32nd in AL) So, Esteban has the #1 ERA in the AL (2.24), is tied for 2nd in wins (15), T-3rd in WHIP (1.06), T-4th in batting average against (.231), 3rd in OPS against (.606), and 1st in quality starts (20). In-f***ing-credible.
