abozichiu, I have a question after reading your MB sig at the bottom of your posts...the Sox drafted Mark when he was 10 years old? "Born 1979....drafted 1989".
-
Unless he really starts talking about St Louis (like saying "I can't wait to get out of here and play for the Cards" or something outrageous like that, I agree completely. Of course, if someone offered us something that we couldn't resist, we'd have to do it.
-
Well, they're probably going to wait and make sure this is the same person before they start going crazy over it. Once the DNA is tested, if it's her, you can bet the story of the last 17 years will be told.

Wasn't the deal they offered him in the off-season fair?

Cut and pasted from http://www.encycmet.com/news/2003-07-29b.shtml Limp Bizkit was tons of fun!! When they came out, everyone booed them! Fred took center stage and was hit with a barage of water bottles, cans, and cups. I've never seen so much stuff flying at the stage. Fred was REALLY pissed off. Calling us "Queers, f**gots, pussies, ect." He said that it would take a lot more to bring Limp Bizkit down, but it was a lie. 20 mins into their set they were gone. Everyone in the crowd had a huge sense of accomplishment. I hope this happens when they come to LA, and I'll be there cheering it on if it does.

IMO, that's the best song ever recorded.

I finally found our record for lefties, and I've gotta say, I was shocked. We actually have a LOSING record against lefties, and a winning record against righties (15-17 and 39-34, respectively). KC, on the other hand, has much better success vs. lefties (20-13 vs. 37-33). It doesn't make sense that we have a BA of almost 30 points higher vs. lefties, yet we have a worse record vs. lefties as opposed to righties. Anyone have an answer to that?
-
LOL. Isn't that the ugliest guy you've ever seen? :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke
-
Wow, that's great. Hopefully it's the same person.

Just wanted to be the one to start the thread for today's game. We've got Mark Buehrle on the hill going against Darrell May. Looks good for us on paper, but May is actually having a very good season. His ERA is 3.33, which ranks him 8th in the AL, and a WHIP of 1.19. Buehrle comes into the game with a 4.21 ERA and a WHIP of 1.38, but as we all know that has come down quite a bit over the last month and a half. May is a lefty, so that would seem to favor us (we hit .272 vs. lefties, as opposed to .244 vs. righties). But, as they say, you've gotta play the game. KC. BTW, this is the newest "most important" series of the season.

I'm SHOCKED that you are in favor of this This, simply, is a stupid idea. When you're 13-16, most people don't know what they are or are not. This will only alienate the "gays" even more, because most of their friends are going to be homosexual, and that is not going to prepare them for the real world outside of their gay utopia school. I don't know what percent of people are gay, but it's most certainly the minority -- I'd guess somewhere around 10%. To go from an environment of 100% gay (and that is assuming that they really are gay, and just not confused KIDS) to an environment of 10% gay has got to be extremely difficult. This is only going to force gays to take a step back, not a step forward. And BTW, these kids are still going to get picked on and beat up. What happens when they go to the mall on weekends or to the movies on a school night? Don't you think that other kids from other schools are going to know where they go to and what they are? Or what about when they're walking home after class? Fact is this -- people who are perceived as abnormal or weird are going to be subject to physical and verbal abuse at school. There is no way to prevent that, and IMO, this is just going to make the beatings and tongue lashings even more vicious.

It's hard to explain it and have it sound remotely interesting. You'd have to watch it (give it a full episode or 2 before giving up on it) and see for yourself how it works. I really like it.

I can't get either one to work. I've tried changing the type of file to everything from .gif to .jpg to .jpeg, and it always gives me an error. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I'm watchin the 2nd season of BB&D on ESPN 2, and I think this has got to be the coolest game show ever created. The concept is just great, and it's fun watching the teammates almost kill each other, .
-
Yeah man, good to "see" you too. Glad to hear you're moved in, although mostly everything but your TV and your computer are probably in boxes (and maybe a clean pair of undies ). And yeah, you're a few hours away now -- we'll have to meet up somewhere when I'm in town. Should be out there in the next 2 months or so.
-
No "news". Probably won't be much else said about it until the hearing on the 6th.
-
Indeed. I was starting to think that maybe I got banned or something. Guess it's not your guys' lucky day.

Who expected it to be a total honeymoon? Anyone who thought that must have been living under a rock for the past few years. And you say that Bush lied about the war, but I NEVER recall Bush saying this war would be easy or quick. He said MANY times that it would cost our soliders' lives and that it could take a very long time, but that we would stay until victory was ours. Is that not what's gone on so far?
-
Yeah, no kidding. He cries about someone saying f** on a board with a few dozen readers, yet he supports a "singer" with the following lyrics that are heard by millions...I'd buy a damn brewery, and turn the planet into alcoholics. If I had a magic wand, I'd make the world suck my dick without a condom on, while I'm on the john. If I had a million bucks it wouldn't be enough, because I'd still be out robbing armored trucks. So, cwsox, :fyou you hypocrite. Maybe you should take Jordan4life to John Wayne Gacy's house and teach him about life, .

Fact is, the so called African-Iraq thing was known by the White House to bediscredited in October 2002. The inclusion of it in the State of the Union was disingenuous at best and blantentlly suborning truth for political agendas at worst in order to play a nuclear card in the State of the Union speech. Given the history of this country, the statement on equality is ludicrous. Equality was not built into the US Constitution, amd the struggle for equality has been long and arduous and we have a long way yet to go. Your statements on the ACLU are pure lies. I am 26 years now a member of the clergy of the Christian Church and a proud 5 year member of the ACLU, wishing only I had been a member much longer. However, I will agree with Hail! to the Victors Valient! What do the ACLU, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton all have in common? Answer -- all 3 pretend to be "for the people", when in reality they are only out to serve their own needs and fulfill their own agendas.
