  1. If you take a look at some footage of Frank from like 1991 or 1992 (or take a look at some of his cards), he used to have a different body. He wasn't as bulky/fat. He had 7 steals one season.
  2. Frank has had some injuries in his career, no doubt. But, keep in mind that Jeff Bagwell has broken his had 2-3 times and missed quite a few games as a result. Frank's probably missed more, but Bags certainly hasn't had an injury-free career. BTW, that reminds me -- what ever happened to that poster baggio? Did he leave and I missed something?
  3. Wow...that bum Davis is lucky that ball stayed in the park. Hanger to Frank, and he ropes it on the ground into LF. Me likey.
  4. You're a couple days late -- we talked about this the day after Bagwell hit #400. But yes, their numbers are extremely similar.
  5. That is pretty much was the Farmer and Rooney said. They made it clear that there was no way there was only 32 feet of difference. I don't have TV here though... Who's in charge of the tape measure at Comiskey? Helen Keller?
  6. 416 ft for Magglio? NO WAY. That barely cleared the wall in left-center. If his was 416, Frank's was 516.
  7. Yep...today could be some MLB/Sox history that we'll witness.
  8. Good lord -- how did that ball carry that far?! 3-0.
  9. Well I'm an idiot -- put it in the wrong place. Oh well.

    399!

Frank just hit an absolute f***ing bomb to left-center field. That was probably longer than the 2 he hit the other day.
  11. The records have been sealed. So, for now, they will not be made public. But, there have been 2 911 calls from their house over the past year. 1 of them presumably being the OD, and who knows about the other one.
  12. .... where did Alomar win a ring? With Toronto? 1992 and 1993 with the Jays Hmmm...good call. Hopefully he can instill some winning spirit in these guys. It's not a matter of knowing how to win -- it's a matter of going out and doing it. WTF? Magglio's arm sucks. That throw to 3rd base from RF 3 hopped to 2nd base. Hopefully he wasn't trying to get the runner.
  13. Poor Kenny -- when he makes a trade that turns out bad, he's a moron. When he makes a trade that turns out good, he's lucky.
  14. .... where did Alomar win a ring? With Toronto?
  15. No, no rings on this team. The closest, I believe, was probably Colon and both Alomars when he went to the WS with Cleveland in 1997 and they lost to Florida. The only other guy that's ever been on a consistent winner is Tony Graffanino when he was on the Braves in the 90's. For the most part, we have guys that have been with the Sox (in the majors, at least) for the bulk of their careers... Lee, Thomas, Olivo, Konerko, Crede, Magglio, Harris, Buehrle, Garland, Porzio, Wunsch, Sanders. Nobody on that list has ever won anything more than a division title. Nor has Valentin, White, Gordon, Everett, Loaiza, Daubach, and whoever else I'm forgetting. We ARE a team of non-winners, and until we win, that's what we will remain.

    Everett

If he can give us some of the offensive production he showed for Texas in April, I don't care how good he plays CF. This teams needs offense right now, and if he's providing it, he will and should be in there.
  17. I dont know many 19 year old girls/women who dont want attention. ODing on tylenol pm looks pretty shady. I hope i am wrong and its not allowed. Why would you hope it's not allowed? Doesn't an attempted suicide say a lot about a person? Sure, it doesn't mean she's lying, but it at the very least shows that she was and possibly still is mentally unstable. That, IMO, is something that definitely needs to be examined..especially when a man's life is on the line. Because i believe that fact alone will get Kobe off the hook, whether he is guilty or not. I want justice and there will be no justice. Well, if there's physical evidence, that will override any OD stories. It will likely come down to what the DA has. Yeah who knows. All i know is there was tons of physical evidence on OJ and he got off on BS............i dont want kobe to be guilty or innocent. I just want whats right. Girls who OD get raped too. Yes...and at the same time, people who OD and are mentally unstable make up stories. That's all I'm saying -- just pointing out the alternative since most seem to be piling on Kobe.
  18. Well obviously KC would have to lose if we win, and if that happens, we'll cut a game off the lead. But, if we both win, it'll stay at 6.

  20. Well, we're 6 out now. If we win Tuesday, we could close it to 5. There's plenty of season left if we continue to score the kind of runs that we've been scoring in the past 5 games (an average of over 7 a game).

  22. And as far as it being admissible in court, of course it will be. The Rape Shield Law or whatever it's called, as I understand it, covers only previous sexual information. Stuff like possible attempted suicides will come up in the "character witness" segment of the trial. Kobe will have people testify as to how nice and great a guy he is, while the defense will look for guys that have maybe seen Kobe do weird s*** in the past (although, with him being an NBA player, don't look for anything but positive feedback from any potential NBA player witness). Conversely, with this chick, the prosecution will look for witnesses that have nothing but good things to say about her, while Kobe's camp will try to do the opposite.
