I've never said Kobe is 100% innocent. He's guilty of adultery. To me, that's not 100% innocence. But, in regards to the charge of sexual assault, yes, I do think he is innocent. So shoot me. Show me where I said it was the girl's fault. If he raped her, she put herself in a bad situation by going to his room, BUT it's not her fault that it happened. Also, if it was consentual sex like Kobe stated, it's nobody's fault...it's just something that happens far too often in this country. And I've NEVER said this is a set-up. That implies that the DA, sheriff, and the girl collaborated and made this whole thing up and then carried it out. I do, though, think that it's a strong possibility that this girl is taking a consentual act and turning it into rape.

LMAO. "Guys who think like me?". Dude, if Kobe raped her, I think he should die. I've said many times on here that rape is worse than murder, and if he ripped her clothes off and raped her, he should fry for it. At the same time, if she's making these charges up for whatever reason, she should pay dearly for it. But at this point, hearing some of the stuff about this girl, I just don't see it as rape. LIKE I SAID, the evidence has yet to be made public, so for all we know it could be cut and dry that he's guilty. It's ALL speculation at this point, and on a message board, that's what we're going to do -- speculate and give our opinions and thoughts. I would appreciate it if you didn't try to liken me to a rapist just because I happen to be siding with "not guilty" as of July 21, 2003 at 9:10 am.

And you know this is fact because you were there right? What about the prosecution witnesses that have come forward who occupied the room next to Bryant on the night in question and called hotel security because a woman was screaming for help in Bryant's room? What about the witnesses and hotel security that saw this girl crying outside Bryant's room immediately following the incident in question? The facts of the case will come out in court. Quit spouting off like you know exactly what happened because you don't. Did you not read when I said "possibly" innocent? Just like most everyone here, I have a "guilty" or "not guilty" in my head, but that of course can change. Everything that I've heard so far points to "not guilty" IMO, but, we'll have to wait and see what evidence the DA supposedly has.

:fyou fair this Im a loyal friend. Clu is my friend. Anyone f***s with him and im gonna have his back.
-
Well, as you can tell by my posts on this topic, I don't think he did it either. However, I was shocked when he admitted to adultery, so I suppose anything is possible. But, if I had to bet on it, I'd lay my money on the "not guilty" side of the table.

How about if you don't like my opinions on this topic, you shut the f*** up and don't read them? Have a nice day.

And if Kobe is innocent of raping her and she is making this whole thing up and it's proven so, do you also hope that he sues the crap out of her for defamation of character?
-
Why? Do you want a possibly innocent man to go to prison for life for a crime he didn't commit? If the story is true, yeah, damn that friend of hers for being honest and allowing the truth to come out.

Hey to me the most important thing you said is her father is a billionare. If thats the case, where would her motivation be to lie? How is her father being a billionaire relevant to her? Can't she still desire to be in the limelight? And what better way to get into the limelight than f***ing Kobe Bryant and then accusing him of rape? And I'm very glad her family has money. Hopefully if this is all a BS lie, Kobe can sue her for defamation of character and get back any endorsement money that he may lose from this fiasco.

Fear not, her past will ALL be out in the open far before this goes to trial (if it ever does), and public opinion will be even more in the favor of Mr. Bryant. It's only been a few days, and her FRIENDS are already selling her out. And this law is completely and utterly ridiculous. Even if she had falsely accused 1,000 other guys of "sexual assault", that would not be permitted in court. That makes a whole lot of f***ing sense.

There's that word again. How was he making an apology for Jimenez? All he said was that he thinks he's got a bright future ahead of him. Where's the apology?
-
How so? He'll still be a millionaire. Maybe he's running Wood and Prior into the ground because he wants to get back at Whitey for oppressing him and his people for the last 150 years.
-
Let the guy have 50 or so AB before you start declaring that he's still got something left. Remember Lofton last year? He started off like gangbusters, but quickly fizzled out. I think this GUARANTEED 1st ballot HOF, and best leadoff hitter ever, will do the same.

Ummmmm..... let's see..... JM has started the same line-up the last 3-4 games and we win 3 out of our last 4. Posters here have been screaming for a consistent line-up since f***ing May..... AT THE VERY LEAST..... now we get one, and the White Sox are 3-1. Ok. Just to make you happy..... YEAH JM!!!!! Once again we were playin the Tigers. Lets see how this line-up does against a somwhat respectable baseball team... Heh, have you not seen this team this season? If we would just have a .500 record against teams like the Tigers, we'd be leading the division. It's the Tigers, Indians, Devil Rays, etc that have seemingly killed us.
-
So Manuel only has something to do with the outcome of the game when the Sox lose? That's fair and makes perfect sense
-
I didn't catch the game, but I saw the highlights on ESPN, and that 2nd HR in the 3rd inning was an utter blast. Thought it would be more than 436, but I'll take it.

That is perhaps the biggest factor of all. If you put excessive stress on your body that it's not used to, it's going to break down. Anatomy 101.
-
There was a strike in '97? And in 2000, didn't we draw almost 2.5 million? That's pretty good, no?
-
Yep. But that's standard on a Fireworks Night. They should have fireworks every night.
-
That doesn't mean his arm is capable of taking the abuse of being a major league pitcher. The human body was not meant to hurl a baseball 95+ MPH 120 times every 5 days.

I thought I read somewhere that the Indians' start was going to be Billy Traber, the guy who 1-hit the Yankees? Maybe I was wrong.
-
Oh sure, the stats and everything...absolutely they have 'prompters for those -- it would be impossible to memorize all those numbers. But what I'm wondering is, when Brantley or Harold Reynolds says "I think the Red Sox have a shot at making the playoffs because...", if that's them saying it, or if someone wrote it for them? Ya know, are they REALLY doing the analysis and providing commentary, or is it like any other news broadcast where people are simply hired to read what other people wrote?
-
I don't know about Brantley specifically, but I can see how having a former player do analysis can be a mistake. He may think he knows it all simply because he played, and that is obviously not the case. Plus, when you have former ballplayers (some of whom probably aren't very bright), you just wonder how many of their "opinions" TRULY are their opinions. Maybe they have a bunch of writers just come up with stuff and they read it off a teleprompter.

Lol...you did what I didn't do, look up stats. I'd say Baggs is definately in. Stats..gotta love em.
-
Bagwell career stats... .301 average (Frank = .311) 400 HR (Frank = 398) 1375 RBI (Frank = 1337) .412 OBP (Frank = .430) .547 SLG (Frank = .566) Him and Frank have had almost identical careers. BTW...I am shocked that his numbers are that good. I thought Frank would have been better in all categories.
