QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 03:20 PM) You could really screw with people on your voicemail. "Please press the octothorpe to skip this message" To REALLY mess with people, "press the octothorpe for English".

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 03:15 PM) I need to find a program, preferably free, that will allow me to record audio from an outside source and convert it to an mp3. I downloaded a program called audacity and I was able to record the audio, but I couldn't convert it. Can anybody help? To clarify: The music is on a digital multi-track recorder. I am plugging this into my computer with a RCA to 1/8" cable. I need to be able to record the songs and then save them as an mp3. What OS are you running? I think the quicktime version that comes with Snow Leopard will do that.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 09:14 PM) So how do we get it back in focus, as it's not a clear picture. I have no idea. The only issue I know of is that a whole lot of people had to reset their systems. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) Meant to say Gavin from the stretch, of course. Directv was updating something, and then it froze. Had to restart it, and my wife said tons of people said something similar. Yeah, they were rolling out the software update for 3D. I think they just went and reset everybody remotely because all my boxes were turned on when I got home. -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 07:46 PM) Kay will not stop b****ing about Lucy being out of the base line. Did you hear that woman reporter they have? She said that Ozzie told her that they won't be as good a team as they can be without Pierre leading off. He said that he could be back to leading off as soon as tomorrow. -
QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 11:44 AM) Yeah the more I think about this Dye-as-DH thing, the more I'm starting to like it. Thoughts? He doesn't bat left-handed, so Kotsay would still get too many ABs. He'd be taking ABs away from Jones/Quentin. Pass.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 08:36 PM) Wondering how AP was a "blown pick" when he was the main point of a trade for Peavy That's the exception, IMO. The rest of his list looks pretty crappy considering where they were picked. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 08:56 AM) Let's compare with White Sox blown draft picks 1999---Jason Stumm, 1st round/15th pick, $1,750,00 1999---Matt Ginter, 1st round/22nd pick, $1,275,000 1999---Danny Wright, 2nd round/64th pick 2000---Joe Borchard, 1st round/12th pick, $5,300,000 2001---Kris Honel, 1st round/16th pick, $1,780,000 2002---Royce Ring, 1st round/18th pick 2003---Brian Anderson, 1st round/15th pick, $1,650,000 2004---Josh Fields, 1st round/18th pick, $1,550,000 2005---Lance Broadway, 1st round/15th pick, $1,570,000 2006---Kyle McCulloch, 1st round, 29th pick, $1,050,000 2007---Aaron Poreda, 1st round, 25th pick, $1,200,000 That list is depressing. You can't really complain about not having high enough draft picks when you completely blow the ones you do get. -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 03:42 PM) It just goes to show that even teams with really good lineups can slump. I think they might be worse than us on offense right now. And I'm in no way making the comparison, I just said that to make myself feel better. The Red Sox lineup isn't "really good" anymore. With Ramirez gone and Ortiz not what he was, their lineup has regressed considerably. I'd take there's over the White Sox without hesitation though.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 02:47 PM) I don't know why nobody has done anything yet. Lincecum or Cain should take him to town the next time he pitches against San Fran. Nah, you don't want either of them suspended. Someone needs to beat the s*** out of him, though.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 08:11 PM) Hopefully some people take this advice from ESPN... What does wave the red flag mean? I know what the white flag means; do they mean that?
