  1. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 08:30 PM) I mean absolutely no offense to Colts fans here, but anyone who actually thought the Patriots might lose to Indy was crazy. They never had a chance, no matter what the circumstances. This s***'s like clockwork. New England and Indianapolis meet in the playoffs, Peyton Manning sucks, strange plays go in favor of the Patriots, and the Colts inevitably lose. Then again, I'd still be pretty happy if the Colts had a miraculous comeback.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 08:12 PM) I swear to God, every single one of these Patriots/Colts playoff games looks exactly the same way. Peyton comes out for the first 20 minutes expecting to have an easy time of throwing the ball deep, keeps failing at it, gets beaten up by the Patriots, winds up throwing a pick or two, and then suddenly starts going to shorter underneath routes, and suddenly it starts working and they start moving the ball, but they're already in a big hole. 3. Honestly, just buy the weed after you land. Can't be too difficult.
  4. That game followed the usual Patriots' script. I swear, New England games are easily the most predictable in sports. They always have those flukey plays go their way, penalties on the other team, etc.

Trent Reznor supposedly said something along the lines of Cash topping his own version of Hurt. Something like, "he made the song his own." I'm probably a little biased since I'm not a NIN fan and a huge Cash fan, but Cash's version blows the other version out of the water.
  6. How the hell does any MLS team have that money to throw around? Nobody watches soccer.
  7. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jan 8, 2007 -> 05:01 PM) Ethan Albright re-ups with Washington. Pretty good for a guy with a zero kick return rating. Well, f*** me sideways with a lunchbox.

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jan 10, 2007 -> 05:16 PM) Or by Bare Naked Ladies. Actually, I think the version you're talking about is the one by the Gourds. When it was on limewire, it was mistakenly labeled as being by Barenaked Ladies, Phish, etc. I'll throw another one out there, since not many here are country fans. Amarillo By Morning by George Strait, which is considered one of the greatest country songs of all time. It was originally done by Chris LeDoux.

Gin N' Juice by the Gourds.
  10. I can't think of many players more deserving of being unanimously voted into the Hall than Tony Gwynn. The guy was nothing but class and his numbers are undoubtedly HOF caliber.
  11. QUOTE(PAUL KONERKO 14 @ Jan 3, 2007 -> 05:41 PM) Anyways thanks for the welcome, looking to be active here. Yeah, well you better use protection.
  12. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 04:12 PM) Rookie of the year? Hell yes
  13. I liked the Arlovski and Griffin fights much more. Arlovski knocked his opponent out with a punch while on his back...that's some insane strength. And Griffin just got his ass handed to him.
  14. Went to Best Buy yesterday with 75 bucks in gift cards. One of the movies I bought was Blazing Saddles My Lord, I am happy with that purchase.
  15. QUOTE(Cali @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 03:09 AM) Wow I really have been gone for a long time. No swearing? What the Frick? Oh my God, it's Billy Frick! Please, someone better recognize this.
  16. If there's a Wilson we should be going after, it's PRESTON. Eviljester's got it right.
  17. RIP, Mr. Ford. Now, not to be a jerk, but who's the third famous person to kick the bucket going to be?
  18. That was my reaction...and that's enough. You'll be missed, man.
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 25, 2006 -> 12:21 AM) People are doing a ridiculous amount of defending a guy who has yet to pitch more than half a season as a starter in the majors. He could be good. He could break down. How will he react to 200+ innings? Can he make it? To be honest, I am in favor of this trade. I don't know how much of an asset McCarthy would've been this year. He may have sucked, for all that we know. And Danks is supposed to be one of the better pitching prospects in baseball. But, it does seem like some of B-Mac's biggest defenders over the last year or so are now saying that "he isn't a proven commodity" when they'd probably be saying that "he's the best bargain in baseball" had he not been traded. I'm just saying, is all. Merry Christmas to all, by the way.
  20. Alright, nobody needs the s***-slinging. There's plenty to talk about.
  21. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 04:40 PM) Don't see why we can't get into the Zito sweepstakes. We clearly have cleared salary and have more coming off next year assuming Buehrle will be gone. Not to mention we were told if we came, they would spend. We all are tired of the ?'s in the 5th starters spot and when we seemed to finally have an answer, it gone! People are gonna lose interest. You can't start rebuilding the year after getting record attendance. A lot of fans will feel screwed.
  22. <!--quoteo(post=1334169:date=Dec 23, 2006 -> 04:26 PM:name=3E8)--> QUOTE(3E8 @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) <!--quotec-->All signs point to yes. How do you feel about that? You probably know much, much more about prospects than I do. Can he be a consistently reliable reliever?
  23. Does Masset go directly into our bullpen?
  24. Does anyone know of any other possible trades that this trade may make possible?
